1 thing that I like about WALL-E that not enough people bring up is that if you isolate the parts with just WALL-E the story works, but if you isolate the parts with just the Captain the story also still works. It's 1 of the few Disney films that actually does a subplot that is just as interesting as the main plot.
@gingergoddess89534 жыл бұрын
WallE's first third is a masterpiece. The parts with just the Captain learning about Earth are good too. I find it too hard to negotiate the really really good parts with the hyper-preachy parts. And I don't think the movie needed a villain. For a climax it could've just as easily been WallE needing to rush through the ship to get the final piece of the ship where it needs to be or else they'll be stuck or the ship blows up.

@@remyhavoc4463 OK look, Ratatouille is a very good movie that was not made for me. It delivers the massage about changing social expectation really well and I like Remy and Ego. But it's just too slow and unexciting. There are some conveniences throughout (like Remy discovering Linguini's relation to Gusto at the last day). Some moments that are just time wasters (all of the cooking stuff before the second half). The chasing sequences are weak and some characters are unlikable at times for making some stupid decisions (Linguini getting too full of himself and sending Remy away, but forgetting that Remy is who made him cook constantly). Love Ago's speach though.
@remyhavoc44633 жыл бұрын
@@roiitzkovich4545 that's the weakest take I've heard from that movie. Did you even watch Schaffrillas' video about it?
@roiitzkovich45453 жыл бұрын
@@remyhavoc4463 Yes I have, and I watched the movie again to see that I'm confident in my viewpoint. James's video was well crafted, but I either disagree on some aspects or agree but still don't like it much. I hate that James has such a loud voice on KZbin because many of his fans just follow his opinion to feel "in a group". There's no crowd opinion anymore, just a Schaff opinion and whoever disagrees doesn't count. In fact, he's fully aware about that so he made a song to brain-wash people to give Shrek Forever After a higher review score. And than he said he wants to do the opposite to Ralph Breaks The Internet. He has too much control. I even saw over 10 reviews giving Ralph 2 a 1/10 mentioning "Cuz Schaff said so". He takes advantage over his popularity. Now here me out, many times I agree with him even before his videos. I think Shrek 4 is even BETTER than 2, but while I'm not the biggest fan of Ralph 2, I wouldn't say it's bad. I can counter plenty of his points towards some movies, but the difference between us is that I don't have 1M subs. I get that he has any right to share his opinion, but he takes it to a bad place. His voice is so loud across the media that he uses it for turning the public's opinion just because he can. If I could, I would've made a video countering his opinion to several movies. HTTYD2 and 3 (I think 2 is the best and 3 is the worst), Frozen 2 (screw his "we barely explored Elsa's will to live in the forest" line) and several others.

I personally have a massive love for Inside Out. It cleverly depicted the inside of a preteen/child's mind the changes that it can under go with age and how the mind work (in a understandable way to kids) It also wisely teaches depression and how it can essentially shut you down and prevent you from feeling anything and cost you who you are as well as the dangers of asking someone to "just be happy and smile" rather than make sure they express their emotions and make sure they are doing ok themselves. I remember sobbing with Riley at the end of the movie because of how much i could relate to her. I also loved how most of the people who cried at the movie had/do deal with depression while most people who didn't cry haven't dealt with depression. That was a fascinating find to me!

Pixar did the movie wrong. What do I mean? The protagonist is WRONG. It is easy to see with our modern eyes how yes, table manners and etiquette are over rated and self expression is important. HOWEVER it is not set in modern times and it is important to not cause a WAR that will destroy all 4 clans. The protagonist is whiny, annoying and refuses to see any other perspective let alone consider her mother as having anything valid to say. It is actually THE MOTHER that goes on the perspective altering journey the most, not the protagonist ... which from a story telling point makes no sense. If that is going to be the case then normally the protagonist knows something major or has a certain wisdom/understanding of the world the person they're convincing does not (e.g Pocahontas and John Smith) whereas Merida does not. She is literally a teenager having a hissy fit that through her selfishness almost dooms everyone. And her mother, while in bear form, still has to teach her what power she has within their society.
