The Good Dinosaur is prob their worst. Cars 2 & 3, Monsters U, and Finding Dory are all “floaters”. Not full on turds, but you can float along through them and not regret watching it. The Good Dinosaur is a sinker. I wish I would have just watched The Land Before Time again instead.

Monsters University has one of the most realistic messages from any movie. Sometimes you won't achieve your dreams but that doesn't mean you can't achieve them in other ways, in Mike's case he became a coach

But the way the film conveyed that is insulting Mike was being deemed ineligible to follow his dreams because of his looks. That makes the message feel shallow by implying that only attractive people can be successful in love and not scrawny people

Personally, having a "worst" Pixar movie list is practically impossible to do. All of theirs, even their worst ones, are actually quite well thought out and good stories. It's a lot easier to do a "worst" Disney movie list than Pixar.

That’s not even mentioning how Disney was around way longer and produce way more movies than Pixar. With all that century long history under its belt, you’re bound to run into a few rough eras and produce more bad movies than a company that’s Ben around for only 28 years. Especially since Disney has gotten into the very bad mindset of producing quantity over quality. Doesn’t exactly leave much room to write a good story.

I semi agree with this statement. I do think that Pixar has had a better batting average overall, but I think that it's hard to make a bad Pixar movie list because of how "young" Pixar Animation is. Disney is much older than Pixar, and they've made many more movies over the years so the bad ones will definitely be an abundance of bad movies as there are good movies and it would be more obvious to which those are at this point. Just my opinion by the way, but Cars 2 is definitely the worst Pixar movie, but even then it's still at least an average CGI animated movie as those go.

You can’t put Luca on “worst” just because its simpleness, that being one of the things that actually helped the script focusing on its characters. You guys mentioned in Onward’s place that the characters development ended up shadowed by “bizarre” things. But when that doesn’t happen in Luca you criticize it for being “too simple”

I resent "Lightyear" more for keeping Buzz Lightyear of Star Command off Disney+. I mean Patrick Warburton (Buzz) and Wayne Knight (Zurg) both played their roles so wonderfully over the top. Can't say I was shocked that it was on the list, because Pixar only had one major black eye, so some other masterpieces had to be on the chopping block, but I am surprised it's ranked worse than The Good Dinosaur, because of the three Pixar movies that (originally) released in theaters this decade so far, Elemental was my favorite.

@@davidlance5310 I agree it’s misleading, but technically speaking “worst” is a relative term so it’s correctly used here. And they even say the above quoted at the very beginning of the video lol. Everyone knows there are not 10 “bad” Pixar movies, so imo it’s kind of a given that they are worse but not “bad”. Prob may have helped if they added “(but not necessarily bad)” at the end of the title, but may not have gotten as many clicks with such a long title.

I loved Brave since it gave what wasn’t given in many Disney films with princesses prior to it, mother and daughter dynamic. It always seemed to be daddy and daughter dynamic more than anything. While it never hurts to have the daddy daughter dynamic, girls need their moms. I think about the most motherly relationship in any Disney film is from Brave but also in Tarzan between Kala and Tarzan (though that’s more a mother son dynamic).

Lightyear being #2. Though it is just an opinion and people are entitled to be wrong. /joking Though it is just an opinion; I loved Lightyear and the mech design for Zurg. My main gripe was him just being "Old Buzz" instead of an incredible mecha that could outlast anything, even at the end. I hope there's another so Zurg can partake in more schemes.

I completely disagree and say that Luca, Monsters University, Onward, Brave and Elemental were good movies. Onward and Elemental had good messages. One showed that you may not have a parent growing up but a sibling can be your best friend and the other showed a very sweet story of being with someone that is different from you

I don't know about you I actually liked Cars 2, I love the cast, the races around the world, the mission impossible/James Bond vibe, Mater still getting a huge laugh out of me, the small yet lovely mentions of Doc Hudson aka Paul Newman and much more, I loved Finding Dory as well since she's one of my favorite Pixar Characters and seeing Dory's backstory was emotional and adorable, I also liked Monsters University especially seeing how Randall became the rival to Mike and Sully, the Good Dinosaur made me cry in a good way at times, I haven't watched the full movie of elemental but from bits I have seen it was actually great, I also loved Cars 3 it was my second favorite behind the original but I loved every part it plus Doc Hudson returning despite the death of Paul Newman was beautiful and touching, heck I like all the movies on this list, I don't get the hate about most of these movies to be honest, I think Tach. Mojo made this to piss everyone off, not cool, but I love most of these movies which to me are cool. 😡😍

You know what, WatchMojo? I still have lots of fun with Cars 2. Yes, it’s stupid and ridiculous, but sometimes you need stupid and ridiculous. Not every animated movie can be as serious as Akira, Kiki's Special Delivery, Porco Rosso, Spirited Away, or Millennium Actress. Every once in a while, you need a stupid oddball Cars movie to even out the balance. Also, I do think that Cars 2 does continue on with what the first movie has started; it carries on with the comical world of Cars. Personally, for better or worse, I think that Cars 2 is a fun silly oddball spy-action-comedy, especially if you're in need of that. Am I saying that Cars 2 is a high-art masterpiece? No. Am I saying it's one of the greatest animated movies of all time? Of course not. And I do get why some people don't like it. And maybe I'm mad, but I do have a soft spot for Cars 2; it is what it is, and it's not what it isn't; I just simply find it to be nice, easy-to-digest fun.

Every movie on this list, except Cars 2, is either good or great, particularly Luca and Elemental. This is a pathetic list, I'm sorry but it feels like all you guys wanna do is piss some people off. Pixar is a studio that is way above most in the entertaining business when it comes to quality, and even their lesser films (again except Cars 2) are still miles above the competition.

Even if both Brynhildr in the Darkness(2014) and Finding Dory(2016) may face criticisms; They are both still GREAT to watch. If you enjoyed watching Finding Dory(2016) for BETTER or WORSE; then give Brynhildr in the Darkness(2014) a watch for BETTER or WORSE. They may not be similar to each other at ALL but they're both entertaining to watch. I watch both of them many time already and still Today. I agree with Lightyear. But instead of Cars 2, I think THE worst Pixar film is Toy Story 4. Sure it’s made a billion at the box office and the critics loved it, but fans were clearly on the opposite side. First off, the fact that Buzz, starts believing in his “inner voice” which is just his voice box, is as dimwited as Patrick Star, the rest of Andy’s former toys are completely swept aside, including sarge and the army men, (which makes sense given the 3rd film’s ending) and worst of all, the ending felt completely rushed. At the end of the 3rd film, Andy states that Woody will be there for her, ALWAYS! And the end of the 4th film went completely against that. We would have been better off with another Toy Story tv special with this kind of story, with a few rewritten moments here and there, and not to mention the aforementioned ending.

can definitely agree to an extent, though i ain’t gonna lie. it wasn’t bad, but wasn’t great at the same time. yeah, there was no reason to make another one. but i get it. Pixar ran out of ideas, so they bring make a sequel with a whole new storyline. and i can also see how they wanted to show what the toys new life was like with Bonnie. but I absolutely agree that the 3rd was the perfect ending story, since we all grew up with toy story and the 3rd signaled the end of our childhoods and the beginning of adult life, like how they portrayed Andy pretty much. i am a little skeptical about the upcoming 5th one, but with that, id like to see an adult Andy, who’s now married and has a kid or 2 and is looking for his old toys to give to them.

I actually had a lot of fun watching Lightyear. While I will admit, the cartoon that was on TV was a lot better and had more memorable characters. Lightyear was pretty cool for what it was, and had some awesome designs, especially when it came to Zurg. I certainly like it more than some of the modern films that had that really offputting CalArts style. I think the only pics are fill my flat out hated would be the cars ones, but that’s only because my nephew was obsessed with them and made us watch them repeatedly

Same, and I honestly only went to watch it after I saw a glimpse of Zurg, LOL. I do hate the "Old Buzz" concept, but otherwise, I feel like if there's another movie (or show), the suit may become its own entity since apparently Zurg still didn't die in the end. You have to see all the credits to see that scene, though. I was ticked I didn't catch it because we left before the credits ended. I gotta remember it's a Pixar film, and they'll throw in those things, LOL.
