Hey everyone, today we’re going to be ranking every killer from least to most loyal to the Entity. As always, be sure to drop your own thoughts on this, down below, I’d be interested to hear if you’d rank these characters differently. We have five tiers for this. Incredibly disloyal, quite disloyal, indifferent, or neutral, quite loyal, and incredibly loyal. Let’s get into it.
Chapter 21.5 has been revealed and is named Hour of the Witch, featuring new survivor Mikaela Reid. Mikaela is bringing a new type of survivor perk named Boon perks, that can bless dull totems, turning them into Boon totems.

The devs had said in one of their Livestreams that ghostface is insanely loyal to the entity, his tentacle things that go off his back are supposed to symbolize his strong bond with the entity, same with thrilling tremors since he's calling upon the entity to block gens. He loves the entity probably more than anyone

Yeah, that's what I assumed as well. Don't know too much about the other except PH and Myers who obviously don't really give a shit, but Ghostface loves what he's doing way too much. A lot more than most other killers. And there's Thrilling Tremors too, you're right. The description pretty much says it outright.

In cheryls p3 skin it talks about abominations in her nightmare and her heavy grief towards her fathers death and how she feels guilty for it. If that doesn’t get you to believe it, don’t worry. We have even more solid evidence. In pyramid heads p3 head cosmetic it literally states that he haunted cheryls nightmares. He came from Cheryl, not James.

GOD, I KNOW YOU DIDNT MEAN IT LIKE THIS, BUT I NEED TO RANT TOWARDS A STRANGER. So, I’m a lore diver, huge on dbd lore, found some great stuff. For example, Benedict baker was supposed to be taken around 1878, but then the devs decided to change that to 1978. those cunts are horrible with writing. SPEAKING OF THE WRITING 👹👹👹 The whole, “survivors can’t talk during trials or at the campfire🥸” shit is so bs. If they can’t talk in general then how tf did Nancy and Steve shout in the trailer for them. How tf is mikaela talking about the trials in game with her perk dialogues. How TF DO PEOPLE LEARN BOTANY KNOWLEDGE. I am NOT taking a bs excuse like, “oh they’re just gods at sign language” GET TFO WHO EVER SAYS THAT. Anyways, my rant is that I want there to be real dialogue and voice lines with all the survivors and maybe some extra interactions with them to the killer. For example; if Zarina saves Cheryl off a hook, Cheryl can say thanks like “ey thanks z, I appreciate it.” And Zarina would respond with a “don’t worry girl, we gotta stick together^^” That would help with so much lore and drama and terrific writing. God dbd needs to take tips from other games like apex for story telling.

I believe that Nemesis is not loyal or disloyal, he simply does not care, he only wants to kill the stars, his mind is not capable of processing anything else, less something as complex as loyalty. and I see Myers as disloyal, he is the incarnation of evil and he is the killer who has the most facilities to disobey the entity

So fun fact about this version of Michael. He’s from the brother sister universe- where Michael and laurie(Cynthia in this case) are siblings. In this one it’s heavily suggested that Michael has psychosis and will only live on to silence the voices in his head. Now, the voices in his head are probably only telling him to kill Laurie(they’d probs tell him to kill everyone else to make the quiet for a bit, but if he kills her than they’d forever shut up). This alone makes me believe that Michael would fully stop listening to the entity or something if Laurie genuinely died. On a related note, Laurie is the only one that can reach Michael, as shown in the Halloween 2 film that shows how she said his name and he stopped for the very first time ever, listening, before continuing on the hunt to kill her. As for nemesis, I fully agree with you. He only wants to kill jill. That’s the only reason he’s still here and not in the void.

They seem to be taken ONLY from the first movie, which hasn't established they were siblings (only established in 2nd movie) so we can't say they are siblings in the dbd universe. I'm still incredibly sad that Plague was tricked into thinking the entity was her god, because without it beforehand she is seemingly the most kind person (relative to her time period) going from nothing to head of the city, even banishing herself from the city because she hopes it'll save her people from it. :c

Fun fact, but the area called Urashtu during that time was believed to be the location of the entryway into the underworld of Babylonian religion. Adiris banishing herself there from her city to appease the gods is an understatement; she was likely trying to _enter the underworld_ itself in order to petition the gods for mercy! She’s such a cool character and doesn’t deserve what’s happened to her for sure. ;(

The Blight isn't loyal, he's just the smartest killer and he's using his relation with the Entity to work behind the scene. If you've read his lore, he's actually quite human in the way he behaves and feels great remorse about what his serum caused. I'm pretty sure that his lore is going to expand to him fighting/destroying the Entity

One thing I find interesting about Plague is that her loyalty is strong yet has a very fragile spot. All it would take is someone with enough evidence and/or persuasive capabilities learning how to speak with her to completely shatter her loyalty to the entity.

The only one I'd change is Michael, according to one of the live streams, it was said Michael openly defies the entity, and that his "evil" is much darker and more powerful than the entity itself. Michael has zero loyalty towards the entity. The entity uses three different means to make a killer obedient. First it will try coercion. To try to convince the killer willingly play the game. If coercion fails it falls back on mind control. Killers with a weak will power easily fall under its influence but killers with a strong will power can easily resist it. I mean cmon killers like wraith and nurse would never obediently follow the entity considering the two of them had a strong sense of justice. Granted the nurse went crazy If killers successfully resist the entity’s mind control it results to physical torture but the thing about Myers and Pyramid head is they don’t give a crap about any of that jazz. They can’t be negotiated with, their will is too strong to control and they just shrug off physical violence. Now obviously the mind control does work then to a small extent but it doesn’t take much for either of them to break free and kill their way. They are truly unbeholden to the entity

I feel like Cenobite could actually go in the "incredibly disloyal" tier, since he doesn't even really work for the Entity, he just came because someone opened the box in the Entity's realm. He's also shown to be capable of taking survivors *out* of the Entity's realm in his mori. However, an argument could be made for "quite disloyal" or even "neutral" on the grounds that the Cenobites are very rules-based and can even be reasoned with, so even if Hellpriest and Chatterer don't work for the Entity, they're willing to abide by the rules of the realm (e.g. having to offer the Entity a mori in order to take survivors to their own realm).

But also because the Cenobites can be reasoned with, I’d argue that Pinhead would be the most likely to willingly not kill a survivor- as you said, he doesn’t work for the Entity and is probably just stuck in the realm. He doesn’t always torture/kill those who open the box, and I’d argue that a situation like a trial would be enough evidence to convince him that they did not solve the box of their own volition

Insightful analysis. In a contrasting view, Pyramid Head is truly disloyal to some degree, since he can't give a less of a shit about entertaining or pleasing the Entity. Pyramid Head came for 2 things: • punish the guilty • haunt (and help?) James Sunderland And he's all outta James Sunderlands.

I think the Deathslinger's lore entry mentioned that when he was consumed by the Fog, he perceived the survivors as people who had wronged him. The Entity may be making him see the survivors as his childhood bullies and the other two who betrayed him later in life.

The Blight wasn't loyal to the Entity initially and was at first a survivor who tried to defeat him and escape the Entity's realm, but the Entity used his addiction to the Pustula serum to turn him from a genius chemist who was very close to being able to defeat the Entity into a mindless beast completely subservient to the Entity, basically a mockery of what he was before.

I would definitely put blight in one of the disloyal categories. His lore states that he does not like nor wants to participate in the trails. He only does after he cannot fight his addiction to the serum. I feel like that's closer to trapper's situation as he doesn't want to defy the entity to not feel that hunger, but if given the chance he'd leave immediately. The devs also said he harnessed a fraction of the entity's power. Oh and great video as always I really like watching this type of stuff!

Legion might also be loyal because they are normal humans. While some characters were nerfed, I feel Legion got a boost which is why they are equal to killers with supernatural abilities and how they can chase down survivals, who are normal humans.

The white pupils in certain killers eyes indicates that there not seeing the actual survivors for instance, hill Billy is probably seeing the police men or his mom or dad, death slinger is seeing the people who used him or he is seeing sheriff's that he dislikes due to there association with the warden, etc etc, That definitely has some indication on there loyalty

I'm glad you placed Trickster very high because it's very obvious he's very loyal to the entity although it sucks you didn't mention his tiny Easter egg. If you turn him around while waiting for a trial to start, he looks up and winks. Supposedly winking up at the entity as a sign of respect, loyalty or admiration. I definitely agree his loyalty is very high.

I would think that Huntress would be non caring about the Entity, she just likes to hunt. Her one perk even has her breaking free from the Entity to enjoy the thrill even more. I also don’t think she’d care if she was the one hunted down and killed, that’s just nature and part of the hunt.

I’m pretty sure the wraith is against the entity. I get the feeling he’s tired of killing as he wasn’t really a serial killer like most of the other killers he murdered his boss cause he used him to kill and essentially slowly torture random people. I think I read somewhere that the Entity is tricking a lot of the killers like how it tricked Plague. Caleb still thinks he is killing the warden and his past employer, Huntress and Billy think they are simply defending their homes, and Pyramid Head thinks he is punishing the guilty. The only thing that really supports this idea is the fact that in Pyramid Heads lore said he accepted a "duty" and will kill Cheryl along other survivors even tho it's canon that he has protected her.

I don’t agree with the spirit placement it’d be neutral or quite disloyal. It’s been hinted through her lore that she did “agree” to go into the Realm for revenge (as you said) but you can tell it was twisted against her. She’s shattered and broken, torn in mind and body. The faces she makes, are full of gloom regret and sadness, with a shimmer of brutality every now and then. I only think she’s brutal because it’s all she can be now, shrouded in mind. Thirsting for the revenge promised she can never have.

Now this was interesting. Awhile back, I started thinking about a scenario in which Freddy would try to find a way to escape from the Entity's realm, but he couldn't do it alone. The ancient one may have tampered with his powers, but he was slowly able to grow stronger by feeding off the fear of the survivors. Since his physical form is in a nebulous state between dream and reality, Freddy slips through the Fog between trials and tries to find the other killers. He'd enter their dreams, learn about them and try to find ways to manipulate them, so that he can posses them during their trials and feed off of more fear. Certain killers would be easier than others. Freddy can appear as the Trapper's father, the Nurse's husband, the Pig's mentor, the Cannibal's family, the Twins' mother, etc. Using the ones they love and respect the most to trick them into disobeying the Enity and filling their heads with empty promises. Other killers might be trickier. Freddy can try to forcibly possess Frank, so that the rest of the Legion will obey him, but I doubt it would last for very long. It would be interesting to see the Legion teaming up on Freddy. And there are some killers who are just impossible. Pyrammid Head and the Demigorgon aren't human. I don't think even Freddy would dare to try to find out what Michael dreams about. The Doctor would be Freddy's biggest problem. His experiments and the electrical surges in his body keep him awake at all times. Plus, the Doctor has his own way of seeing into the minds of his victims and Freddy can't help but wonder if the mad scientist knows something that he doesn't.

I think Pinhead would've been incredibly disloyal, as he serves Hell and Hell's (Leviathan's) rules gave him powers and 'meaning'. He maybe wouldn't mind being there, as you can hunt people anywhere, but he'd probably want to regain connection to Hell, so he can go there and give souls pain and pleasure ;)

Who said he lost his connection to hell in the first place? Using the lament configuration (which acts like a portal) he can travel between hell, earth and the entity's realm. There are more than just 1 box (shown in hellhound hellraiser II). Also it's not like leviathan would accept losing its most loyal servant, as it would probably start a war between Leviathan and the Entity. I think Pinhead kinda fits the quite disloyal category.

Entity's realm is exactly that - different realm, we don't know where it is and what rules it has, but most likely Entity is nigh-omnipotent there, controlling everything. Plus Entity TRAPS everyone inside the realm, no one is coming in and out. In game we don't see Pinhead coming in and out of the box, he's constantly out, Dwight opened the box so Pinhead is now set 'free', we didn't see anyone putting him back there. So I think when he was unleashed in the realm, he's now stuck there like every other character.

@@michacieslak2346 well it must be an agreement between the two gods or something, because if the entity locks him in it's realm I don't think leviathan would be too happy about it and probably start a war, but since there are more lament configurations in the world, using them, he can travel outside the entity's realm to get another soul from our world and send it to hell (he also sends the survivors he moris to hell), so I think he can go in and out when needed, I mean when someone opens a box his priority is to go get the person, bring it to leviathan, and after that participate in the entity's trials. Also in hellraiser 1 wasn't pinhead and the rest of the cenobites able to travel between hell and earth while the box was still open? (I remember they were appearing and disappearing by will while the box was still open). I read almost all comics (those that I could find on readcomiconline at least) and watched almost all the movies too, it's nice to talk to someone that is aware of lore outside the game, many dbd players don't know anything about anything and barely can have a conversation with someone about lore.

@@corruptedsystem. I think in Hellraiser 1 that travel was kind of a plot hole, that's at least how I see this, since in H3 Pinhead was 'permanently' on Earth... I mean, I don't know, some things are added for the purpose of the story and contradict later (or previous) lore so... But my understanding of it is this - if you open the box, Pinhead will leave if he takes you or if you solve the box. In 1 maybe he left because of a 'deal' he made with Kirsty? It was kind of like taking her you know, like the classic Crossroad Devil story - you open the Box (crossroad), devil (Pinhead) comes and takes you to fulfill your agreement (showing you pleasure and pain). In case of Kirsty they made another deal, so maybe that's why he was able to return to Hell without her? But overall I think Entity's Realm is kind of beyond Earth, rest of the lore kind of acts this way - you're there, you're trapped, it's like you're in some sort of 'Matrix', where Entity can apply any rules and if you're trapped, you must follow those rules, you don't have a choice, Entity is (nigh) omnipotent there. Or like you're playing D&D - you follow the rules and maybe some homebrew rules of your DM. Some players can 'argue' or negotiate something, come up with cleaver solutions, so that's like Pyramid Head can ignore hooks, but despite bending the rules, he's still playing the game, he's still inside the Realm and that's something that no one can ignore. And if Pinhead could come in and out, it'd mean he can appear on Earth and inside the Realm, so he'd be first one who's not trapped there. Which maybe is the case, but... I don't know.

First, you said the rest people in the Entity's realm are trapped and can't escape, and here is the thing : none of them have the ability/device to travel between realms, no killer or survivor is capable of traveling between realms, except pinhead who does have this device. Second, we have to take a look at the box. In dbd you can see that the way you open/close the box is half of the process it takes in the hellraiser movies to open/close it. There was one more action before, like half of the box raised up and then went back (I'm not that good at describing this through words, but I hope you get what I mean... ), and then the part that is used in dbd, which indicates that the box was not fully closed. In hellraiser 1 while Kirsty was closing the box, the cenobites were disappearing one by one, but only after the box was fully closed the portal to hell sealed and all cenobites and the engineer were send back and locked there. Also when survivors start tinkering with the box after doing the animation, the box feels like it's dragged from their hands, a force pulling the box from their hands and dragging it into a portal in the ground. We know that if you close the box (fully) you send pinhead back to hell and I think that's why survivors can't thinker more with the box after doing that part, so they won't send pinhead back and lock him in hell, because there won't be another survivor to open it again (as they now learned their lesson after Dwight opened it) and the entity won't be able to bring him back. So considering all this we can assume pinhead is the only character atm that can travel inside and outside the Entity's realm through the box (which seems to be always half open in the Entity's realm). You can argue that neither Dwight in the trailer opens the box fully, but from what I remember in hellraiser 1 it wasn't needed to fulfill the process, as Kirsty opened the gates of hell and started wandering inside it, being attacked by the engineer while doing so. The cenobites came only after she fulfilled the process, but that doesn't mean they couldn't come at the same time as the door to hell was open ( I watched lots of hellraiser lore videos before the chapter came out and from them I understood that the cenobites, while the box is open, can appear where and when they want, and are able to travel back and forth between hell and earth) About Hellraiser 3 pinhead was 'permanently' on earth because he was brought on earth (and back to life) through the pillar of souls. I don't remember someone opening the box in this film, only that the journalist (I don't remember her name) configured the box into a diamond and stabbed pinhead with it, which was supposed to kill him and send his soul in back hell. At least this is what I remember of hellraiser 3, last time I watched it like 2 months ago, before pinhead came to the ptb, so if I'm wrong correct me.

I think Herman would be in "Quite Loyal" instead of "Incredibly Loyal". If I recall correctly, his situation is very similar to Evan's, in that he was punished for disobeying the Entity, but instead of struggling against his situation like the Trapper, the Doctor was flat out ignoring the Entity in favor of running his own experiments. I don't think he minds the realm, limitless supply of subjects and electric powers, but he's probably a bit displeased to be forced into conforming with the rules of the Trials.

OH DONT EVEN GET ME STARTED 👹👹👹 So! Rin? Spirit? She’s an onryo. Long story short- Japanese ghost demon that, while dying, holds a huge amount of hatred, turning its souls into an abomination that’s hell bent on killing the one it’s hatred is towards. So basically imagine being in a barn FILLED with hay, and you got this candle in your hands. Usually, you’d try to not burn anything by keeping the fire as far away as possible. Problem with being an onryo is that you don’t have control over the flame or candle(the hatred is the flame), it’ll just burn everything. The only way to prevent the onryo from killing you is if you can help them get their target. So the survivors can’t really do anything to stop or help her unless they somehow rip open a portal.

Amazing video! I’d probably say nemesis would be in neutral as it doesn’t have any opinions it’s just a killing machine trying to kill it’s target:Jill and Chris who wasn’t even meant to be a target as Chris was at the other side of the world of nemesis so the only opinion id say nemesis would have on the entity is a slight bit of thankfulness as he gets to kill his targets in trails and feel completed and as if he’s done his job.
