Season 3 just became a whole new show, basically a sci-fi action comedy with fucking terminator and a mega laser what made 1 and 2 great was that it felt grounded and somewhat realistic even though it’s about monsters from other dimensions. Season 2 is my favorite because it made sense how the upside down expanded and it felt like the upside down was it’s own story

After a show gets popular the directors and writers produce the seasons to fit the average consumer. Not surprised many peoples favourites is s03, no stakes, just comedy half the time. S04 could’ve been great if they killed off Max and didn’t make the entirety of Mike/Will/Jonathan’s a comedy. Started to get S01/2 vibes from it, until it didn’t. Unfortunately with any popular high budget show, it will always tailor to the average consumer, rarely do we get something that sticks to the lore and aspects of what made it great, like breaking bad.

Though I agree its not as dark, I still really liked all three A, B, and C plots. In the first 2 seasons, there was usually one of the storylines that was noticeably weaker than the others, but that wasnt the case in season 3.

I personally really like season 2, especially the final two episodes. It's so great to see the stakes raised higher than before and being introduced to more of the upside down and new characters. Season 1 is my personal favorite. It's such a cohesive and complete story. I will never forget the feeling of watching this season for the first time, attempting to figure out the mystery, and I personally don't think the show has ever reached this level of absolute perfection since then. Unlike most people, I thought season 3 was the weakest, mostly because most of the time it felt like they couldn't decide whether they were going for horror or comedy and because of that the stakes just didn't feel as high throughout and a lot of the effect that 1 and 2 had was lost. Season 4 has been absolutely phenomenal so far, but I can't put it at number one just yet as it's not complete yet, but I have a feeling Vol. 2 will change my mind. My final ranking: 1. Season 1 2. Season 3 is my favorite too! The fourth of July and summertime vibes give a lighter sense to a darker plot. I also love the building relationship between Mike and Eleven as they mature and find themselves. I also love how we get to know Robin and the friendship she has with Steve and Dustin.

I agree with season three, for different reasons. I feel like we really got to enjoy the overall character growth that had been set up by seasons one and two. I also enjoy how it really spent more time on characters and additional character growth, and not just drama all the time. I also enjoy how they had that one guy who helped with the Russian translation and Lucas's sister featured more. They went from background characters only there for additional people who needed to be in certain places to real people who had substantial contributions to the story.

This is my ranking as of now: 4. Season 3 3. Season 4 2. Season 2 1. Season 1 Season 2, while it does have some issues, I feel brings so much good to the table. Plus, I have a lot of good memories back when s2 first came out, so it holds a special place in my heart. The whole snowball dance sequence, I mean come on. Season 1, while I tend to switch with s2 a lot, just feels like the true essence of what the show is. Plus, since the story was supposed to end there originally, the season as a whole feels like it gave it its all to deliver a great story. S3, while still enjoyable, just feels so isolated from what the show used to be. So much more light heartedness, and bright colors. They even made the kgb look like a joke. At times I felt like I was watching a Scooby Doo episode rather than Goonies/horror type story. S4 luckily seems to be trying to go back to its purely horror roots, but there’s still some factors that make the show right hearted and almost detach it from the uniqueness which originally made the show so appealing. For example, Eduardo Franco’s character completely takes me out of the show whenever he’s on screen. It’s not necessarily cuz the character is bad, but because of the actor himself. He’s been involved in a lot of recent teen comedy movies and has coined himself pretty much as the guy who plays stoner characters. Cuz of this, the show having him makes it feel like the show is modernizing itself in a way if that makes sense. I feel an under appreciated part of what made Stranger Things so unique and to itself was that the cast was just about made up of complete no name actors. Sure u have big timers like Winona Ryder, but the show cleverly used their A list actor castings as a way to tie back to 70’s and 80’s movies.

Coincidentally I was ranking stranger things and gave the same response you did, however Season 3, the reason I believe it was the best overall season in the entire show is because season 3 had the biggest summer vibes, like everything about it felt like a perfect summer especially since it came out in 4th of July, it really did stick to an 80s summer but also the hype around it was what made season 3 so great

My number one is number four because it left us with a cliffhanger. I’ve always liked it, it ended with a cliffhanger and so it made me so invested. With Eleven, she was put into testing again, we get to see her experience the testing. My number two is season three. This is because it was amazing but I still loved it. Because of the monster it made it amazing. Billy made it so much better, his acting was amazing. If season four didn’t leave us with a cliffhanger, this would definitely leave me with number one. My number three is season two just because of the monster. My number four is season one because well they had to make so much character development.

The whole show is amazing but I gotta say my favourite season is the second one, Wills storyline is amazing in that season and the whole season is just incredible. Then I would say season 4, even though it's not finished yet, it is so well done and the storyline in general is very enjoyable. In 3rd place is season 1, I love the spooky/thriller environment of it. And last is season 3, it's ok but not as good as the other ones, the monster and the rats thing it's a little bit disgusting for me and the season lost the spooky vibe that the other ones had, and I feel like they ignored Wills character, he literally is there because he is a important character. The series is amazing my favourite one, it is a piece of art✨

my ranking and why: season 2, I love the dark vibes and the idea of this other world slowly creeping and infecting ours trying to take it over and the way its controlling will and i like elevens journey up till ep 7 but also its not a bad ep just not the best ep but the last who where great. season 4, so far i love the main villain and dear billie ep was amazing. and so was the reveal of who vecna was and how the story is connected. i love everything going on but my only complaint is i dont like whats going on with mikes group the shooting scene was cool though but thats about it season 1 i love how simplistic and mysterious season 1 was and made us ask the most questions and made me very intrigued of what was this monster and where is will and whats up with eleven? it was so intresting season 3 i love the brutality and the idea of people being turned to mush was sick but interesting and the monster was really cool looking and gross and this season had some of the best eleven fight scenes which did ofc end up with her loosing her powers but only things i dont like is how kids broke into a Russian base... for fun that just made the whole story seem less realistic

I like how the different seasons take place in different times of the year. Season 4 is during spring, Seasons 1 and 2 are both in mid-late fall. And season 3 is summertime. I personally like season 4 the most, but scoops ahoy Steve will always have a special place in my heart.

@@aquii5007 season 3 is the worst. My Ranking is: 1. season 4 ( my favourite season so far even though it’s still not quite over yet, hopefully the finale won’t change my mind) 2. Season 1 3. Season 2 4. Season 3 Just my personally opinion. Season 1 will always have a special place for me because it got me into stranger things in general.

I’m not a huge fan of season 3. The only good thing about season 3 was the final battle with the mind flayer that’s about it. Season 3 was the weakest in my opinion.

I have noticed that 4 is a lot more adult than the other seasons. I don't even think it is really creepy or scary, just disturbing. But it is the best one lol.

It's super hard to rank the seasons because I personally don't DISlike any season. But I personally put season 3 as my least favorite, and it honestly pains me lol because Billy is my favorite character! And he gets a ton of spotlight in s3 ! But,, I just loved the creatures from season 1, 2, and 4 so much more and thought the storylines were so much more interesting. Season 2 is definitely near the top if not #1 for me because the mind flayer is just so haunting, and the way it would possess will was just. Such amazing acting on his part. The parallel between ptsd and the mind flayer literally taking over his mind was really beautifully written

Stranger things theory. (I made this up.) Number 001/vecna is obviously more powerfull than every other number other than maybe 011/Jane right? Not exactly, he did kill all of the other number except 011 and 008/Kali. This means that 008 has to make a comeback for the season 4 finale. This is because I think 001/vecna has the power of 011 and 008 combined. He shows people visions just like 008. But the way he kills is very alike to the way 011 kills. I think that either 008 will join 011 or join 001. She could join 011 for reasons like she became friends with 011 when they were little and then again when they were older. But she could also join vecna for other reasons. In season 2 we see how 008 hunts down people to kill after they hurt her in the lab. But what if now she is going after people who hurt other people. We saw in season 2 how she was yelling "have no mercy" to 011 when she was trying to kill the guy from the lab. So this clip could show that 008 doesn't care about anyone other than her close friends and herself. 008 and vecna could just maybe team up in the finale. Also just a question if they didn't. If 001 got his chip out using 011/Jane then how come he didn't give anyone visions? I think he didn't have the power to, meaning that in order for people to have visions, he has to have someone with the power of 008 to give them the visions.

I completely agree with you. Season 3 is the my favorite, and the best season. The whole concept of the Cold War during those times is somewhat historically accurate. It ties in with fantasy and history. 100/10

I agree! Season 3 is just perfect start to finish. But we’ll see when season 4 wraps up. The only thing I don’t really like about season 4 is that the pacing feels a bit weird. The episodes are so long and there are so many different groups that they are focusing on that I feel like I lose tract of what’s happening with each person.

I loved season 2 mostly cause the lab scenes and how they were stuck there in a room and had to break out, the part where everyone comes together is also cool cause they go into groups and everyone was working together to stop the demodog invasion which I thought was awesome and it had so much of the best parts of the show

I loved the plot for season 1. Season 2 was really a step forward for Eleven. Robin, Steve, Dustin, and Erica's part of season 3 was awesome. But the special effects in season 4 are really creepy-cool. I couldn't pick a favorite season.
