My top ten are: 10. Over The Hedge (It's just really funny and memorable. That's it.) 85% 9. Shrek 2 (It believe it's overrated, but it's really funny and has great drama.) 85% 8. Megamind (Who doesn't love Megamind?) 89% 7. How To Train Your Dragon (Great visuals, music, and it has great themes.) 91% 6. Prince of Egypt (Beautiful animation, writing, music, and messages.) 99% 5. How To Train Your Dragon 2 (Everything that's great about Prince of Egypt applies to this.) 99% 4. Kung Fu Panda 2 (Best sequel of all time.) 100% 3. The Last Wish (Everything about this is PERFECT.) 100% 2. How To Train Your Dragon 3 (Perfect ending. Best ending to any series ever.) 100% 1. Gonna give my takes. Also if anyone has questions I will try to answer them. Keep in mind I’m in the middle of a DreamWorks marathon so some I may have more to say after I finish it. Boss Baby: Awful. One of the only movies I’ve watched where it makes me uncomfortable. Boss Baby: Family Business: not seen Shrek the Third: At the moment it’s the worst Dreamworks movie for me. Shark Tale: Statistically the worst Dreamworks movie but it is enjoyable to watch despite every flaw. Spirit Untamed: Not seen Sinbad: This was ok. I like Eris as a villain and some characters are cool but Sinbad is kinda unlikeable and I found the ending pretty anticlimactic. Trolls: From what I remember it’s fine. Honestly my opinion could change when the rewatch happens but these films just aren’t my thing. If you wanna watch an animated musical just watch like Vivo or something. Turbo: When I was younger I vaguely remember trying to watch this but I never finished it. Looking back I see why. The first like 2/3rds of this are pretty slow not terrible but they can drag. However I like the race and even though the villain sucks I get some joy from dunking on him. Also as someone who loves the cars movies just watch those. But I would rather take Turbo over those garbage cars knockoffs. Home: I find this one kinda overhated tbh. Honestly I find the main characters charming. This is far from Dreamworks best but it has some funny moments and likable characters. Also the villain is fine. Trolls World Tour: This one I remember being worse than the first. The villain is kinda fun but other than that it’s just baby infinity war. Also they chose Gangnam style to play in this. WHY? Antz: Honestly did not like this movie. The fact this is the 5th highest rated DreamWorks movie on rotten tomatoes is a joke. I just hated this. The characters are unlikable besides Cutter and Weaver I liked them. Just watch A Bug’s Life. Monsters vs Aliens: All I remember is that Bob was funny. Gotta rewatch this one. Ruby Gillman: Honestly I really liked this movie. Ruby is a really relatable character to me. Also this can have some pretty heartwarming moments like the Lighthouse scene. That is the best scene in my opinion. Also while Chelsea is a bad twist villain I just can’t hate her for the life of me. Annie Murphy just brings a very enjoyable performance and she had great chemistry with Ruby. Could’ve been better but could’ve been worse. A good movie that should not be compared to the likes of Trolls and Boss Baby as bottom tier Dreamworks. Bee Movie: its BEE MOVIE. Hilariously stupid and enjoyable to watch. I get why people hate it though. Shrek Forever After: Looking forward to rewatching this. Good movie. The Croods: Never seen but the release the baby meme was funny. Madagascar 3: Just a funny movie with easily the best villain of the trilogy and a satisfying end. Abominable: Ok this one requires a story. So I saw this after my dad was starting to reenter my family’s life. I talked about animated movies with my dad and when we got to this one my dad asked if we could both watch it on our own and talk about it. After watching I honestly loved this one. I find Yin, Peng, Jin, just enjoyable characters. Jin has some good character development, I absolutely love Everest, it has beautiful and captivating environments, and I found Burnish’s character development pretty nice. The montage after the statue honestly brought tears to my eyes. A beautiful montage that also is enhanced in my opinion by the use of Cold Play’s Fix You. While my dad stuff was going on the Fix You song became my favorite song because it felt like an encapsulation of how my life was going. Fix You is now one of my favorite songs and I can’t listen to it without crying. This movie has become a classic for me and my dad and it makes me happy. The only complaint I have with this movie is Dr. Zara as a twist villain. She doesn’t infuriate me or anything but she is far from a good twist villain. At the very least they reveal it like 30 minutes in as opposed to the last 10. Overall I love this and I will cherish this movie as an underrated gem. Madagascar: Not as funny as I remember but still funny and enjoyable. Pretty weird how this changes main characters halfway through though. Penguins of Madagascar: hilarious and just a super fun time. Dave is such an entertaining villain and his gag with ordering his minions and saying celebrity names is absolute gold. Also I like that they gave some emotion to the penguins. Peabody and Sherman: Another one I watched like twice and I remember nothing about. Gotta wait till I get to it in the marathon. The Road to El Dorado: A fun entertaining movie that I just don’t like as much as everyone else. Flushed Away: I remember watching this quite a bit as a kid. Pretty good. Madagascar 2: Like the others it’s just a good movie. Also probably the funniest. The Croods A New Age: Like the first I never saw it. Spirit Stallion of the Cimarron: Was surprised by how great this movie is. Beautiful score, animation, and great characters. Puss in Boots: watched but don’t remember it aside from the ooh cat and the you hit me in the head with a guitar joke. Captain Underpants: Watched this one again recently and yeah it’s a riot of a comedy. It made poop and fart jokes work. That takes skill. It’s also wholesome with a good message about still being friends despite being far apart. Also some of the lines about the school system are shocking accurate. Over the Hedge: The only movie where it uses the liar reveal trope well. Also very funny and has the Verminator what more could you ask for Kung fu Panda 3: Easily the weakest but still has good humor and action like its predecessors. Also while Kai is the weakest villain of the films he is still pretty decent. HTTYD 2: Really good but I will see during the marathon how it holds up to the others. Rise of The Guardians: One of the saddest animated flops of all time. A beautifully creative idea that I’m appalled hasn’t got a sequel yet Trolls and Boss Baby have. The Bad Guys: Just a fun ride with likable characters. Even has a good twist villain. Great movie. Also yeah Diane is hot. Kung fu Panda 2: Absolutely phenomenal. I’m surprised it wasn’t top 10. This may be potentially better than the first and it can sit well on the perfect sequel shelf. Chicken Run: Okay this might be an unpopular opinion but I find Chicken Run to be overrated. Wait before you throw me in the furnace let me explain. The characters are very lovable with a great villain but the liar reveal is annoying. Also I just find it to be just a good movie. Also wanted to share that my family went to the store halfway through to get fried chicken. Megamind: One of the funniest movies I’ve ever seen. Wish I knew about this film way sooner. Great emotion, humor, and villain. Can’t wait for the series. HTTYD: The Hidden World: A grand conclusion to one of the best animated trilogies ever. Seriously why do some hate this one. Shrek: There isn’t much to say about it besides iconic. Wallace and Gromit: Very funny and charming just not in to it as much as others. Puss in Boots:The Last Wish: This might be my favorite DreamWorks movie at the moment. Absolutely perfect. Although trashing other DreamWorks movies because they aren’t the same quality is dumb and yo shouldn’t do that. HTTYD: Absolutely grand and one of the best of the whole studio. Shrek 2: Just watch Schaffrillas video. I can’t describe it any better. The Prince of Egypt: The definition of flawless. The only thing with me is that I don’t find it very rewatchable as other movies due to how heavy it can be. Doesn’t make it any less of a Masterpiece. Kung fu Panda: A shockingly amazing movie no one saw coming. Can’t wait for 4. Trolls Band Together: this was bad but I had some fun with it. However I’m not happy this is getting another movie.

Like Woody Allen in general and also in Antz and also most of the characters there, thought it was a lot better than A Bug's Life and worked well. Agreed Sinbad was unlikeable and also didn't like Marina.

I guess Madagascar 2 is sooooo overrated, I find a LOT of problems with this movie. 1: The main plot is a King Lion ripp-off, so blatantly. Makunga is a pathetic Scar wannabe and Zuba is a major unlikable idiot. 2- This sequel have so MANY inconsistencies and continuity errors regarding the first movie. This movie don't aligns with the original in so many ways. 3- This movie is so divided, there various subplots, some of which are extraneous and pointless. Marty's was so unnecessary... And honestly, I don't think this movie is THAT funny as everyone says, neither even the funniest on the franchise tbh. (first one is definitely funniest for me). What do you think? Thoughts?🎉

I feel like the big reason I and so many others liked it, was due to it being way more fun than other Dreamworks projects at the time. But it all comes down to personal opinion 😊

And again, this movie has so many inconsistencies with the first one that I Just can't swallow (example: the predator-prey business, who was such a core in the original, It's never recognized in this one. Lions and prey gets completely along, which creates a plothole with the first one. Alex's pride never is portrayed as wild carnivores like would be in the previous one. Só contradictory and left without any explanation. Just why?) And Makuga and Zuba are both unlikable characters on my eyes. Makunga is a blantant inferior Scar copyright and Zuba basically caused his own problems not banishing him and letting him proceed with his schemes. My order would be 1- 3- 2. Third movie semmed for me as a step up from second one.
