The reason attendances are down is cause the prices for the Hive are insane. £10 concessions for example or £10-£15 for Arsenal for the same age group (excluding class A fixtures). They can't compete. £20 for a non league game every other weekend isn't an expense the casual fan will generally chase I feel 🤷🏻♂️

Ticket prices are too high and overspent

A good model to follow would be my club. A club no one wants to visit because it's in the back of beyond. A club that only spends what it brings in. A club with supporter representation on the board, a catchment area a tenth of some clubs in the NL. A club with sound sensible business practices. And I nearly forgot, top of the National League. Barrow, or as one pundit on BT live said, watching this team is like watching Barrowcelona, lol

I’m fed up of teams spending so much money on players wages and then crying out for help afterwards, they knew how much money they were losing, they can dig themselves out of the hole on their own. This would’ve likely happened even without coronavirus

I think some clubs overspend to get the next level but the fans pay the price like Bury and Bolton. I think should be spending caps for clubs to stop overspending.

Part of the reason is likely to be the loss of player registration rights which means that the club loses players trained by its Aademy without compensation. Tranmere went through something similar when a National League club. trainingground.guru/articles/tranmere-scrap-teams-below-16s-because-of-impossible-eppp

12 former football league clubs in Vanarama national league the question is only 2 can go up playoffs extended to 7th means clubs spend beyond their means. Could promotion increase attendances by 20 per cent in league 2 i think not. Hope Barnet fc survive

Leaving underhill was the death off Barnet and we can blame Saracens and the Barnet Council

Tony is a liar. He said that one of the main reasons he chose to move the club out of Barnet was that the Hive would provide so much extra non-matchday income that the club would be able to survive despite lower average attendances and now he's blaming a 50% drop in attendances since the move out of Barnet for the club's financial situation. The fact is, he killed the club when he moved them away, they still exist in name only and he wonders why attendances have dropped by 50% when the club has completely lost its identity. I still care about the club and want them to do well but myself and some other former regulars now watch Hadley instead which is in Barnet and is an incredible matchday experience. Great atmosphere, great tennis balls challenge at half time and unbeaten at home in the league since December 2018.

@@hiitdon8630 about 6.5 miles or a 20 minute drive or about an hour via public transport.

Tom Hammond well as we have seen with clubs like Wimbledon and many others it makes a difference when clubs relocate, and if u ever loss your identity well that’s even worst

Having a kamikaze business model where you spend future monies your not yet able to stick in the bank is only a guaranteed failure model. I expect more clubs go under.
