I'd note the triple laikitu wonder effect in the regular world isn't just the triple laikitu, but also making the platform pieces significantly larger. (though that really mostly serves to make the platform more interesting than a straight line)

I personally would put slowmo above speed up, because it allows us to see the animations a lot more clearly. And it really shows how much was put into the animation of this game.

Something cool to note about the perspective shifts: in the magma world, the vanishing blocks only appear in the direction your character faces. This extends to your character's line of sight in the 3d section, which makes it way more engaging and tricky to figure out when you dont want to get hit by the lava dragons

Something that i love about Wonder mix is that each time a new Wonder effect get triggered, you can hear Bowser jr deformed roars in the background, is like he is not fighting with you, HE IS TRYING TO GET RID OF YOU!. This game just has soooooo much soul put into it.❤

The metal mario effect is easily my favorite of the whole game. Sure it's nothing too special gameplay-wise, but the theming and atmosphere is absolutely top-notch, and it feels perfect as a late-game wonder effect. I lost my mind when I first saw it, definitely the highlight of the game for me

At 19:48 - The Wubba Transformation. That one really messed with my brain because every time I went upside down, I expected to fall and it was even more nerve racking when I was upside down over lava or poison. Sometimes I even jumped accidentally... But it was still really cool how you can go on the walls and ceilings.

I really want them to do dlc for this game, because there’s so much more they can do with wonder flowers. When I 100% the game, I was left wanting more, which I feel is hard for a lot of games to accomplish (and the dlc maybe being a bit more difficult than base game like Luigi U would be cool)

Same! Floating water bubbles normally aren't that interesting, but when it's in a lava stage where the whole gimmick is extinguishing hot enemies with water, having the whole stage get hydrated by the Wonder Effect is so satisfying.

I looked into this some more today. My comment was partially correct, but the game considers the first battle in Pipe-Rock Plateau to have a Wonder Effect. In this battle only, the Flower Coin count changes to have a decimal when the second phase starts, and the edges of the screen get an appearance identical to any other Wonder Effect in the game. This means that Pipe-Rock Plateau Palace is the only course in the game to have two Wonder Effects, and one of the two courses (alongside Bowser's Rage Stage) to have a Wonder Effect not activated by a Wonder Flower.

perspective shift is effectively gravitational shift that changes the game physics (but yes it should be more of a level gimmick). Also I wouldn't make it a gravity flower, because there's at least 3 other different gravitational effects that would justify a gravity flower effect: Gravity swap from down any other cardinal direction, removal of gravity (float physics, which granted is already handled by p-balloon), and floor gravity (you can walk on ANY surface, with gravity following the last surface you walked on). We already sort of have a goomba 'transformation': the goomba hat.

I find it funny he counts wonder mix but not other wonders that repeat. Yeah I get wonder mix is a wonder that shifts but even wonders that repeat aren't even the same and if wonder mix counts as its own wonder, so should the others. Second cosmic clone chase added infinity pow blocks, second piranha plant song added spawning bullet bill blasters and it's a different song all together, special world free fall had moving ....lava? Poison? Walls, That one level that both had the three lakitus and perspective change. But ig that one is complicated since the lakitus were there before the wonder effect. I think the only legit wonder effects don't exactly change is the transformations kinda uh, since all that changed is your form, not the level itself and idk about the second level with big hoppos and second level with the poles, ig they are different still but u can be the judge of that..

He did count both wonder mix as a single entry so there. :P (though he did make a mistake in one of them: the triple laikitu wonder effect actually comes with a secondary effect the first time that isn't repeated, so that shouldn't be counted as the same, and/or added to the list. (the platform chunks are differently-sized during the wonder effect)
