I’m very hyped to see what other great light swords they’ve included! I enjoy simple straight sword & Great sword builds so although the most simple of the new classes if you are sword type of player then it’s pretty exciting! I’m also curious about the perfume types as it may be cool to have in a 2nd slot even if it’s a left handed slot just for back up and adding a bit of elemental damage to mix things up! Very curious to see what types of hybrid builds can be made!

my first character in elden ring (on xbox) was an "alchemist", he was basically a caster that used consumables, and i spammed the everliving shit out of perfumes. the problem i ran into is that i mostly used dual daggers for damage so it just kinda felt like a reflavored dex build, but now i can finally push that character fantasy to the next level. i might remake him and take him into the dlc for my first run.

@@TherealGamefauntin Casters have been nerfed since transferring from DS2 to DS3. So far FromSoft's strategy for Casters since DS3 is: 1. Tell you to play as a Spellblade instead. 2. Hit like wet tissue unless you stack damage buffs/rings/talismans. 3. Gameplay improvements? Here, have some flashy spells to distract you from how barebones Caster gameplay is. 4. You have 🌠Spells🌠. How dare you want AoWs, Infusions, and have more than one viable button!

Time your rolls, make sure not to spam roll, go for backstabs if possible, try using jump attacks

Dodge into the attacks for the most part. Try to keep a medium equip load. Use summons while getting your bearings. Do not attack a random NPC unless they make the first move

If you're using magic, make sure your melee weapon and your staff/seal scale with the same stat(s). This way leveling a certain stat will boost both weapons at the same time.
