Do you know if it is harmful to birds if they use human hair for their nests?

Good question! I have seen many mixed reports. Audubon says no because the human hair can tangle around the feet. Others say the human hair is not dangerous because it's not that strong. I know that fishing line is a real problem for birds because it does not break.
