I'm so glad you mentioned you loved the character Cassie. I feel the same way every time I watch season 7. I love the scene where she reads one of her poems. The actress, Azura Skye, was also in the movie 28 Days with Sandra Bullock and I remember being just as compelled by her in that movie. Brilliant series by the way! If you are considering making another series based on a different tv show, I'm 100% here for it. Your voice is really relaxing.

I loved "Same Time, Same Place", I love how the scenes with Willow and everyone piece together, just a super clever episode and the Gnarl demon was legit creepy as hell. I love that Anya was fleshed out more in this season. I agree that song is gorgeous, when her singing stops and it cuts to her with a sword through her chest, just heartbreaking. I also really agree about the season picking up when Caleb enters. I really wish he was there at the beginning, just taking out potentials and causing havoc, I think it would've added so much to the feeling of desperation and dread throughout the season. Also, your interactions with Frommeltje were so funny, trying not to make eye contact made me laugh so much.🤣

Haha, if you pay attention, you'll see a cut when I'm talking about Gnarl, because I went way into detail about how satisfying that scene is to me and decided I could absolutely not put that on the internet, so it got cut. And lol, Frommeltje is such a pain in the ass.

Also Holden was in a standout episode of Firefly. This is the season that crossed over with the one season of Firefly and it was kind of wild to see the Whedonverse converge on Buffy and Angel.

That is probably why he stood out to me so much on Buffy, thank you! It's been awhile since my last Firefly re-watch, so this is a good motivation to fix that.

I have loved this series! I wonder if you would ever do one for some of the Supernatural series. It’s so long I wouldn’t say all seasons like this but maybe your top 3? You have a great take on a lot of things I didn’t see the first time I watched Buffy.

That's so sweet! At this point I'm planning zero videos after finishing this series. It has become really difficult to film. But I couldn't do this for Supernatural. I love the show (season 1-5, the rest is a spinoff), but I don't know it like I know Buffy. Even though I'm currently finishing up a re-watch (which means I'm on season 5 because the show ends there, lol) I couldn't imagine talking about it like this. But I'm so glad you enjoyed my take on things, thank you!

If the "I'm getting my soul back"-arc for Spike seems a bit improvised, it may be because it was in a way ! Sometimes, the episodes were writing the day before the shooting. The way we consume TV shows and series changed a lot during the last decade or two, and the way of making them changed too. TV shows werre not thought like very long movies were everything is coherent, that's very recent. Maybe they had others ideas and didn't made a choice until last minute.

I'm well aware that a lot of shows (still) write like this, especially in later seasons of a successful show, but the thing is the writers themselves claim that it was planned. That while he was going through his trials, it was planned for him to return his soul and that the writing was ambiguous on purpose. In my opinion, they did make it up in the end.
