Hey I'm camping Moon Glow this year! Did you do moon glow or desert rose last year? Do you have any photos/videos of the inside of the tent? I heard moon glow was a bit tight for 4 people.

Jo I did moon glow last year and we had 4 people. It was a little tight when both air mattresses were down. Just so you know tho the tent can’t fit 2 queen air mattresses. You guys should definitely bring 2 fulls. It can get crowded if all 4 people stay in the tent all day but that’s usually not the case. The people we stayed with were out and about during the day going to pool parties or getting food so it wasn’t to bad. Once we were done sleeping we lifted the air mattresses up and leaned them against opposite sides of the tent that way we had more room. Unfortunately I don’t think I have any photos of inside the tent. But it also depends on how much stuff you bring.

Do you know if you can take a 5th wheel or does it have to be strictly RV?

Uber is really expensive unless youre splitting with friends. Because of the uber surge and amount of people requesting rides trying to get to edc. Shuttles are cheap.

Last year was their first year, should be better this year. I’ll be doing my first EDC and camping next year when they hopefully have all the kinks worked out! This year going back to Imagine in ATL again, maybe you should check it out!

How was camp security upon entry? Do they do a thorough search of the passengers and vehicle?

PlurLife765 They don’t search the passengers as much but the car search is pretty thorough. They’ll check all car compartments your bedding, pillow cases, bags etc. But they don’t open every little thing. If you’re trying to hide something I’d suggest putting it in something really small and inconspicuous. For example last year I hid stuff in the bottom of my makeup compact that was thrown in my makeup bag that was in my suitcase. They did look through my makeup bag but super quickly. They’re not going to sit there and open every piece of makeup I have. So I would suggest doing something like that

Yaritza Ruiz You can bring all the makeup you want into the campsite. Open or unopened. It only needs to be unopened if you’re taking it with you inside EDC.

Are you able to uber to camp EDC and wait in a separate line rather than the car line? Also, how loud was it during the day? I remember I slept till like 4pm at the hotel when I went to EDC. Also, since the tents have two doors, do you need two locks?

Ellen Wallace Yes! You need 2 locks. Its not too loud during the day depending on your neighborhoods. Honestly it’s somewhat load in the early morning if you leave EDC early. Since it’s still going on you can hear the music but it won’t keep you up. I was able to fall asleep no problem even tho I could still hear the festival going on. I’m not sure what the situation is with uber drop off cuz I’ve never done that. If anyone knows please let us know!!

One more question ! , how well is the search on your belongings , like if I️ had a plastic flask in some pants on the bottom of a suit case would they find it ?

DatBoiYaboyEx Maybe don’t put the pants at the very bottom. Have 1 piece of clothing in between. Just in cast they feel out the bottom of your suitcase. But the search is pretty thorough. Don’t try to hide shit in your bedding cuz they check all pillowcases. I would suggest in your clothes or in something that’s in a bag which is inside another bag. They do search quickly so they don’t open everything but they do search all car compartments and go through every bag

so ive got a couple questions here, do you NEED a car to get into the campgrounds so you can access your tent? or could you do what you did and walk in and then get all your shit to the tent? can I bring beer in if its in an unopened case? say like 3 or 4 30 packs of beer? or would that all have to be thrown away uppon entry? same with food? can i bring food and water in or will they make me dispose of that as well? was there anywhere to shower while there? or was that only for VIP?

Well each campsite comes with 1 parking spot. The parking lot is about a mile walk to your tent so they have a lot of people on bikes with big carts on the back. We loaded up the cart with all our stuff and paid the guy about $20 for a ride. As far as getting into the parking lot or campsite without a car, I'm not sure. Are you guys all flying in? Is that why you might not have a car? You can bring in beer and wine if its unopened but no hard alcohol. We filled water bottles full of vodka and marked the bottom of them with a sharpie and then threw them in with all the other water bottles lol You can also bring in food and cases of water. I think VIP might have their own showers but so does GA so you'll definitely be able to shower.

You can be dropped off with Uber. And they had some people who were walking in at a certain gate with all their belongings to check in without a car. I suggest either way if you have a lot of stuff to bring a wagon because it is a hassle to have to unload and load again into your car. That’s what we did you can bring your own food and water some people brought their own bbqs and things to cook in the a.m. ice chests are allowed. And you are only allowed a certain amount of beer I don’t remember if it was a 6 pack or something like that and only a box of wine. It will tell you the exact rules of the amount allowed to be brought in and what can’t. They did sell cases of beers at the camp sites and ice for reasonable price I think we bought Budweiser for like 15 bucks and it was a pack of 30 or 36 I believe and it was cold.

ryan alvarez Yes they had a general store and another small store next to it that was of just ice beers and water. And yeah we were surprised about them selling cases of beer too but it made it worth it because since you are limited on the amount of alcohol you can bring in it was easier to buy the cases of beer instead of paying 12 bucks for a small mix drink.

Heather Imholz You’ll want to bring 2 full air mattresses. Don’t bring 2 queens, they won’t fit. If you stand up the air mattresses during the day and lean them against opposite sides of the tents then you’ll have room to walk around in the tent.

Also, it does get kinda cold at night so make sure you bring a sheet and a warm blanket

Carli Rodriguez When you first walk up to check in there are people at the front of each entrance of the camp sites because there are different camp site names and they can help you with locating your exact tent. They will drive you in a cart to your tent.

gabby jorgensen No free food that I saw. And they search the cars pretty well. They’ll look through your pillow cases and car consoles, glovebox and in all your bags.

Chrystyna Strumbos Yes! They will only give you 4 camping wrist bands and if you don’t have one then you can’t get into the campsite

Might be a dumb question, but do the tents come with beds. You mentioned Ac, Power strip, and lights. Will I have to bring my own blow up mattress? Also are all the tents the same or are they different? I saw something on their website that describes different things. I am not sure if it was events or the tents themselves.

The_one_and_only_Coraima Yes, the Desert Rose tents come with beds and linens (Check the description for more details& pricing) If you reserved a moon glow tent then you have to bring your own air mattresses. If you’re sharing the tent with 4 people then I suggest bringing two full mattresses. Don’t bring 2 queens, they won’t fit. Hope this helps!

Lily Salyer There might be room but if you have 4 people in your tent then you’ll only have 4 camping wrist bands. Everyone is accounted for so there’s no way to sneak people in. But if they already have a camping band then they can stay in your tent with you but it seems kinda pointless since they would have their own tent.

Siena P Not really. There’s no mirror in the tent. You have to bring your own. Plus the tent doesn’t have the best lighting. You can do your makeup outside or bring an extra light

Not that I remember. The bathrooms are just a trailer with a bunch of stalls. But you wash your hands outside

Siena P They have a trailer that has a bunch of shower stalls in it. You can wash your face there if you want to wait for a shower. But if you’re really just trying to wash your face I’d suggest going to the sinks right outside the bathroom. It’ll be way faster lol

How bad do they tear apart your car?

Well last year they were searching the first cars really really well and thats what was taking so long. I think they realized it was going to take way to long to do that to every car so they sorta eased up a little towards the middle and end. They look through each bag and pillow case, center console, glove box, trunk etc but they don't open everything inside each bag. Just hide your shit extra well and they most likely won't find it but you never know.

I didn’t get checked in until 10 p.m. at night and I seen some of the security being jerks throwing peoples pillows and blankets on the dirt floor and not even carrying some of them searched hardcore some didn’t it all depended on the each security person. I even seen them break a girls mirror because you can’t bring one in. Plus they overbooked a lot of the same tents so I eventually didn’t get to my new assigned tent until 11 at night. Mind you we were in line for camping that day at 1 pm that day. And a lot of cars ran out of gas sitting and waiting to get checked in so I suggest bringing extra gas.

You're allowed wine and beer. No hard alcohol. (unless you put it in water bottles and mark them somehow and then throw them in the cooler with all your other waters.) but you didn't hear that from me lol
