Great jobs guys I remember talking with Jeffery at natda in 21 talking about that 100 grade steel for 2.0 I was shocked diamond c was going to use that , its definitely not easy to source but well worth the pay off for building a amazing product !

🙏✌️🇺🇲 I always put truck and my trailer spares in a vinyl storage bag, so when/if I need it, it is like new and adds to it's longevity . Thank you for sharing

Great to see options becoming standard features; increases value to a second owner that may wish to add a winch to A used trailer. Is it wired, ready to go?
@01AudioVideo01 Жыл бұрын
Do you offer the winch drop-in box separate if someone ordered the trailer without the winch and wanted to add it later?

Kinda wish I hadn't just bought a new Gator 40' trailer. I am sold on Diamond C being the best trailer out there. A bit pricey, but as they say - you get what you pay for.. Maybe raw material costing will come down along with the recession allowing for trailer prices to come down, too. 😀 Absolutely love the videos, keep up the great work. Is it sad that I watch them to relax? 🤣

The spare hangs lower than the frame? No thought of clearance? So the tire can get a hit or damage unknown until it's needled and discover it useless?

I keep wanting to build a super lightweight gooseneck dump for my Titan XD. I keep thinking about a fully boxed frame instead of I beams.

Are the toolbox latches better quality for the toolbox between the gooseneck uprights? My FMAX 207 has major issues with the latch allowing the lid to pop open when driving down the road. Keep getting the run around from Diamond C parts/service hotline.

second that latches are very poor quality

Is grade 100 the step before T1 steel?

I ordered a FMAX210 back in August. ETA is sometime in December. Am I getting the 1.0 or 2.0 trailer?
@diamondctrailers2 жыл бұрын
Great question! Should be 2.0 👍 2.0s began rolling out late September.
@vinniegillotti93472 жыл бұрын
Should just use grade 100 on the whole thing from the gooseneck back but that’s my opinion, but fantastic work

What kind of floor is that on the 1.0 trailer?
@diamondctrailers2 жыл бұрын
It’s a customers trailer that stained his pine floor. 👍

Why not put the spare closer to the rear tires of the trailer? You could even provide a spare on both sides outboard the main webbing of the frame. Basically where you would have a tool box. Make life a lot easier especially if you have to change a tire on the side of the road
@diamondctrailers2 жыл бұрын
Great question! There is framework beginning right behind the new location that prevents the spare from being any further back.

I'm not crawling under trailer on a muddy road to slide out a spare when it was easier and clean on neck. Any truck on a farm always had a rusted & worn cable system after years on gravel roads

Wish I had the moneybto get a 40' spread hot shot trailer with air ride 20k winch and ramp over deck I think it's called and a deck over 10'

**Like everything BUT the thinner gauge neck sheet. The steel is oil canning and looks bad.**

Think that what I said would be what about 50k
@josephwhatley90272 жыл бұрын
So up in grade to 80 but down in thickness. So how much of a real Gain is that. Sounds more like a break even at best and save 65 lbs. Would not same thickness and grade 80 been much stronger as the increase to 80 insinuates? The 65 to 100lbs here is a reasonable trade for the MUCH stronger neck.
@diamondctrailers2 жыл бұрын
Great question! Definitely a step up. The higher grade allowed us to use the thinner material to save a little weight. The existing neck with grade 50 was already excessively strong so keeping the 3/16” and going grade 80 would have been major overkill. The 10 gauge grade 80 was the sweet spot 👌

@@diamondctrailers I’m assuming you are using 10ga but the top and bottoms strap is much thicker then 10ga I would think. Look like 1/4” thick with the 10ga vertical
@diamondctrailers2 жыл бұрын
@@vincelombardi2669 that’s a great question. The flanges are 5/16”. 👍
