Diamond c is a scam level company. I am a Diamond C owner. I might be willing to buy a trailer that was brought to a show but I tell everyone who asks that my entire experience was mind blowing lyrics bad. Couldn't even get a Lug nut warranteed that came stripped from the dealership. That's only one thing I could mention. Powerboat was flaking off within days of taking possession. Axel oil Seals failed on the way home from the dealership Etc. Etc. Etc.

RE: Hitting the hoist cylinder and "maybe you've got the wrong guy": In my experience, counting on people to just "be careful" to not to make a mistake doesn't work. On a long enough time-line, the odds of ANYONE making a mistake eventually reaches 1. On the other hand, chances are it WILL be a mistake, just a momentary lack of attention, and not a Capital S screwup. So, why not have an "oops" cage around the cylinder? Just two "U" shaped pieces of steel, maybe 1" OD tube, with one on each side of the cylinder (L&R), so that it won't get in the way of operation? Just enough to take the "Ooops" and protect the cylinder. Make it a simple mounting setup, perhaps just some 1.25" ID tubes bolted or welded to the frame and a couple of small pins on each side to hold it in place. That way, when the inevitable happens, you can pull the "U" shaped protector out, flatten or replace it, and drop it back in place.

Awesome trailers, but no floating spare for me. I want it right where I can grab it with no rusty crank systems to get stuck like so often happens on a pickup. Plus the spare will always wind up full of dirt and rocks when stored underneath. Far better and faster would be a pocket shelf that swings out from under the side of the trailer that houses the spare and keeps it clean.
@tambolt2 жыл бұрын
Those get rusty since they are behind the rear tires. I’m sure they use stainless cable and hardware too for how much these cost

@tambolt2 жыл бұрын
@@jamesnm21 good question maybe weight
@jamesnm212 жыл бұрын
@@tambolt just looked and the frame rails get in the way. There's not enough space for a tire to sit flat without sticking out past the edge of the deck. It would have to go under the frame which might be too low to the ground. You might be able store one at a 45 deg. angle though. But personally I would just bolt it to the side of the gooseneck or store it in the truck bed.
