What a really nice lady Juliana is, absolutely no airs and graces or ducking and diving the answers to your questions; if she didn't know the answer she said so; no making things up for the interview "Brilliant". I really enjoyed that video Rachel keep up the good work ❤

Just finished watching the interview Rach, enjoyed every minute. Juliana Kaltakhchan answered everything wonderfully well. It would be great if she brought Flight Ukuleles to one of our UK Festivals. I wish her & her company all the best for the upcoming Anarchy Awards! It's fantastic that a purple mini bass could become a reality too, wow! Flight really do listen to their customers & better still, they act on what they asked to do. Looking forward to what 2024 will bring from this top notch ukulele builder! Exciting times ahead! xx

I really enjoyed your interview, Thank you.. Juliana mentioned about a recent tour of the Netherlands with myself, Evelyn B and Sammy T. She is such an amazing person who is very organised and business like yet still manages to retain that human touch. It is a real honour for me to have two signature ukuleles and be able to do my bit in spreading the Flight brand across the world. I truly hope to meet you face to face, maybe the Uke fest of GB in 2024 - Peter.

PLEASE Juliana, make a bigger presence in Australia with your exquisite Flight range of ukuleles… and basses! It’ll save me buying them overseas! Enjoyed the interview. Thank you for advancing your development of really interesting instruments. Loving my blue Vanguard and blue Comet, and my daughter in law’s Mustang.

Loved the interview, I just bought a Flight Pathfinder about a week ago after seeing you unboxing and review of it. Until then I had no interest in an electric Uke, I was actually about to buy a concert acoustic from Flight, but I just couldn't get over the sound of the Pathfinder and how amazing it looked. so yeah then I had to buy an amp as well. Anyhow, thank you for introducing me to the wonderful world of the Electric Uke. PS I'm from Australia so both you and flight are reaching far and wide across the globe.

Loved the interview Rachel. I’ve just bought a Flight Fireball Tenor which I’m collecting next weekend. I’ve also put in my order with Thomann for my Kala Solid Body mini bass TB which they should have in stock within the next two weeks. All the best from Ireland, Joe

Rachel, the ukulele bass definitely fits regular bass strings 45-105. I found my E tuner for some reason was a little narrow and my husband was able to fix it. We also later decided to upgrade tuners, pots, and pick-ups as you saw. I think you said you'll be interested in a conversation so I can maybe show explain to viewers how to do these things. Overall though spread the word standard bass strings sound fit! That allows players to continue to use their favorite high quality strings 😊.

Thanks Frankie, yes chat would be very good. I’m thinking about doing a livestream soon looking at strings etc. Maybe we could do something then if you fancy being seen online? I have now purchased a set of “regular” bass flatwounds so hoping to try them VERY soon and Thanks to your pics and info on Instagram, I’m seriously considering some upgrades to pickups as well. Thanks 😊

Rachel & Juliana, thank you for this really interesting and informative interview! And thank you for conveying my question about replacement strings. Fretless solid body basses surely need Flatwound. Lets see, what the future will bring. PS: You pronounced the name correct, Rachel. 😀

As an owner of a flight Vanguard I found this an interesting video interview. Regarding the question of a fretless mini bass, the manufacturer could make a version with a bolt on neck with the option of a fretted or fretless neck. Seems to me that would be a more cost effective solution.
@UkuleleWales11 ай бұрын
Great idea, I might even deforesting one in the future if a fretless is never an option. 👍

Flight Travel series is just about my favorite ukulele. I started in January 2022 and now have several sopranos, a couple of long neck sopranos, and a couple of standard concerts (thank you for creating the Kitty model). My small hands prefer soprano. Thank you, Flight!

Loved reading this as I suspect a may well end up with more! Definitely “need” a regular soprano and an ultra travel plus there are so many very cool designs! And yes, agree - Thank You Flight. 😊

Wonderful interview Rach! Also in the Atlanta area of the U.S. and know of a few dealers here in the states carrying Flight. What a great brand Flight is. Flight makes beautiful, innovative and great value products for the price. Continue that formula and a stable of incredible artists (@4stringboy) and you’ll keep loyal customers, like myself.
