The key to 1v1's isn't to keep them in one spot.. It's dragging them across the map to another keep while still attacking them c:

C4-2, Dodge Cancel, repeat. So good and does so much damage, oftentimes hits weak point gauges without even paying attention, and that's if they aren't getting juggled constantly, I dunno WHY Shane thinks she's low tier lmao, I think he just has a tendency to sleep on how good dodge canceling can be.

I love playing Epona, she's extremely powerful and fast, and has great combos. Plus it just feels so satisfying playing and winning with her.

I'm kinda surprised how much you undersold her C1 charge. It does so much damage that just landing two of them on an officer is on par with a Special Attack. It comes out incredibly fast and can be spammed multiple times if you don't break into a run with it. It breaks all officers' Weak Points instantly, and can take out over half of a Giant Boss's Weak Point if you spam all 5 carrots on it. It may be the only real 1v1 focused tool she has, but by god is it a good one.

One other niche epona has. The strong attack while sprinting can be a rather useful way to grab some extra KO's while on your way to whatever you have to do. Simply steer thy steed into a marching band of mooks, and spam the strong attack button as you run through. Most characters can do something like this by attacking one and dodging to get back to speed, but epona can do this without gaining any travel time. Besides, in some cases. Every KO can help~

honestly ,using carrots to damage weakpoints is very useful, it can deal a lot of damage to one

I remember playing the Wii U version and after one battle using Epona, I never looked back. I was rolling in the KO numbers. So much fun!

Epona's C2 move will traumatize people who have been kicked by a horse (Wow, my English 4 months ago was terrible, lemme re-write it real quick.... Just for a heads up in advance: Epona's C2 move will remind people that have been traumatized by being kicked by a horse) (Coming back to it now even, it still isn’t easy to understand. I think that you can decently understand it though)

Epona is very instering. She basically plays like a juggler, and it's actually a lot of fun. It would've been cool if Stormy Epona had Lightning effects on attacks instead of just lightning damage. Then she would've probably been OP.

I remeber whenever I played with her I just spammed the heavy attack while holding forward and locking on. Any non giant bosses can't counter it at all.

Run speeds are essentially the same across every character, but Epona makes up for it in sheer mobility while attacking.

Ah, Epona. What fun it is to steamroll through hordes of enemies by mashing x. However, very bad at taking on single targets.

I think Epona is a deceptively very complex fighter. She might be at her best against legions, but she has ways to pile on the damage against single targets fast if you know how to position them and drag them along with your attack strings. It is just the ones that have stun immunity that give you a massive headache.
