All of the A5 reviews that I've read seem to be true based on the KZbin videos that I've watched so far! The expansive and deep soundstage and full-range balanced sound are incredible!!!! The extensive research, design, and engineering that Magico employs definitely pays off!!! Very impressive!!!

Greatest thing about the A5 the better amp you get the better than sound! Meaning you don’t have to replace them just upgrade your amps. I have mine hooked to the Gryphon Diablo 300 and they sound great, my uncle brought over a pair of 200,000 dollar mono blocks and they sounded INCREDIBLE MIND BLOWING, point is as you upgrade they improve!!

I just discovered these speakers and although I could purchase a pair, my age would in reality would be the limiting factor! You reach a point in life where you are looking at maybe 5-8 years on the outside, and I know my kids would probably sell them at a yard sale for next to nothing! Life sucks, just when you can enjoy it, you die!

Jeff - in reading your excellent review of these Magico beauties, I checked your component list - which I admit it has been a few years since I last checked it. I'm interested in reading your feelings vis-a-vis of your two monster and ultra desirable amps - the MSB vs. the Boulder. Cheers and thanks!

I so want a pair of these.. as an alternative to my Boenicke W8se+ ..they are powered by a Modright KWH225i Integrated Hybrid Amp .. Does anyone have any thoughts on the Modright amp .. and if it would be a Good match ?

It's a fairly fatiguing speaker unless you perhaps pair it with a very laid back amp. The sound is also a little veiled.

How can something be both fatiguing and veiled. That makes zero sense.

@@elitetrader5468 I was referring to tonality, it sounds unnatural as if there is a veil present over the actual sound. I did not mean that it lacks details and whatnot.

Stenheim make good loudspeakers too! Ported, not sealed boxes. Unaffordable, to most people.
