Unfortunately it got infected as it was ALMOST DONE healing due to me slacking on the aftercare (learned my lesson!) Luckily I can get it repierced for free but I haven't yet (I scurred). Btw you could totally pull off a nose piercing. Just saying! 🙃

Amazing! I love your channel! I found it by accident but you’ve inspired me! Haha also it could just be normal swelling and not an infection. And infection is usually indicated by swelling pus a smell even and crustiness that’s usually how you know. Just for the future so you don’t panic and take them out because I’m like you, getting a bunch of piercings ain’t cheap hahaha. But also getting pierced with a hoop depending on the area is usually never a good thing it could also cause unnecessary swelling and slow the healing process xoxo

Thanks for sharing your journey. I hear you loud and clear regarding your piercing safety learning curve. I have seven piercings, and all but my left tragus was done wrong. LOL. I didn't get nearly as many infections as one might expect, but I am quite sure my rebellion led to increased healing time--especially for my right upper helix/lobe that I uniquely placed and took a couple of days to do on myself in 2009. They're all great now, and none have closed up (although I do have to keep an earring in my left second lobe most of the time or it threatens to close in a few days. I don't dare test the tragus). I'm afraid of needles, yet have done half of my piercings myself. What does that say about my mental state? :0)

I’ve always been told to go back to the piercer if it’s healing badly and then if they think you should go GP and hey antibiotics then that’s what they would say, I recon 9/10 people who this happens to they just aren’t cleaning it right or maybe the jewellery that gets put in isn’t big enough to allow for the swelling at first

Of all piercings I've had, the forward helix has taken ages to heal - bled a lot - and got quite inflamed for a while (not infected, just very fat when first pierced). I've had other stiff/thicker cartridge areas, like tragus etc etc, and although tragus caused me some trouble, the forward helix just behaved way different to all other piercings. I never really bleed, or have many issues, but man that one sucks.

Hi Cami, yes I've gone back and forth seeing which works better, a stud or a hoop. I too always think the stud is going to be tucked in better but hair always gets caught in the backing. Every time I try a stud I'm always reminded the hoop is the more comfortable option. As long as the hoop is closed all the way so hair can't make its way through. Hope this helps!

I got my cartilage pierced on my left. That last one w/ the gun was almost 22years ago. My industrial piercing was a little bit over a year. When I had it done at Claire's after they had done my piercing I felt a stinging sensation. Now as an adult I had it redone again, but this time I went to a professional. I did not really feel anything from start to finish. No stinging sensation afterwards. I was pleasantly surprised with the whole process. Now I know not to go to Claire's.

How many weeks do u need to apply on the antibiotics
@MaliaTaylor3 жыл бұрын
I believe it was oral antibiotics and if I remember correctly I was taking it for a couple weeks. Hope this helps 💜

I’ve been collecting piercings since my 15th birthday. All I had before that were my first lobe piercings. Now I’m 16 and have 9 piercings

i kinda want to get a cartilage or bar piercing but my ears are shaped weird like the place where u got the piercing infected (when u had to go to urgent care) it’s like indented there bc it’s genetic so idk if it will work lol
@lovesgone99185 жыл бұрын
depending on the place you go to get it (dont go to claires PLEASE) they will tell you if your able to get it done or not. or since its a genetic thing ask your parents or family if anyone has gotten a piercing there and it went well. if not i wouldnt do it.
@MaliaTaylor5 жыл бұрын
It’s all gonna depend on what you want to try in my opinion 😊 places where I feel like my ears are misshaped and chose to pierce the area anyway turned out better than I expected. Almost like the piercing disguises the “imperfection” But definitely think about it and just have fun with it 😊

Go to a professional (I recommend APP certified) and they will look at your ear and tell you what they can do.

do you have any advice for doing your own piercings?
@MaliaTaylor3 жыл бұрын
Ah coincidence!! Love hearing your piercing collection ☺️ You have multiple I love it. I always wanted to try industrial but I keep going back and forth about it 🤔 Dang doing your piercings at home is crazy, major props!!

i got my second piercing done at ala moana mall too & they aren’t even & both crooked😭🤦🏼♀️
@MaliaTaylor3 жыл бұрын
I'm sorry to hear that Rubie! I personally have just accepted my crooked ones since I have multiple, I feel like it's not as noticeable. But you could always close them and re-pierce?
@Paula-sw2tt2 жыл бұрын
I have 29 piercings and want just one more. So I don't think you have anywhere close to too many piercings.
@alishalegrand61392 жыл бұрын
I don’t know what happened there but if I got that infected and it within 24 hours maybe they didn’t pierce you with all that clean of equipment or maybe they didn’t properly wash their hands and probably put gloves on or maybe they didn’t have their gloves changed out I don’t know

If you hit too many ear holes~ it will hurt your own ear necrosis~ If you don't take care of your ears, you won't have any redness and necrosis on your body~ care about you
