I’m a body piercer and I just want to tell you that keloids are actually mostly hereditary and usually require medical attention. The “bumps” you experience are actually hypertrophic scarring. 🙂 think of it as just an irritation bump.

I have hypertrophic scarring on all 4 of my cartilage piercings , I’ve tried tea tree oil, sea salt pastes and even aspirin (heard that could help as well) but none of them will budge ugh.. I had an industrial once and had keloids on that for a year until I finally took the bar out and then the scarring went down within a week.... help I don’t want to take these piercings out 😔 any advise that might help them?? My piercer told me polysporin , but that didn’t help, actually irritated them a bit.

Love your jewelry 😻🤩 My piercer told me that keloids and inflammation bumps (aka hypertrophic bumps) are often mistaken, bumps can go away with care but keloids take more invasive measures like surgery. I have a bump on my tragus and it’s going away with those no pull plastic discs.

I mean I had done all of my piercings with the piercing gun and they all healed within a month and I never had any problems with them. I had them in for a few years now, so I think it depens on the person too, some people get theirs done at a tattoo parlor and they dont heal for months and some get them done with the piercing gun and they heal right away. Loving the content lately xoxo

Ur absolutely right, everyone heals differently. I have 12 ear piercings. I did 4 cartilage both conches myself with brand new piercing needles. And my conch piercings hurt the least and healed the fastest. Looking good ..❤

I just got my Tragus pierced and I LOVE IT. It's by far my favorite piercing. Not to mention it did not hurt to get pierced (it's more pressure) and the healing was SO EASY. I totally agree - my third lobe piercing was the worst!!!

First timer here! Loved the video! Stopped to watch b/c I just got my cartilage redone about 2 weeks ago. This time with a needle. The guy who pierced my ear suggested saline solution 2-3 times a day to clean my piercing. It works great!! I only have a very dull sensitive feeling to the touch on the piercing at this point. I can't wait to change my earring!

My piercings are SO prone to getting infected. My lob and my cartilage piercings constantly get infected and I’ve had them over 10 years. My tragus I got 7 years ago and NEVER NOT ONCE got infected. Definitely go for it!

i have a keloid on my tragus, i got it pierced once and it wouldn’t heal for like over a year so i took it out and let it heal then i got it repierced and i’ve been using the cleaner you recommended and girl! it’s finally healing! my piercer said when you have a keloid it’s better to leave it alone and only clean it’s good at night and i can see so much of a difference compared to cleaning it twice a day!!!

Loved this video! I got my second earlobe piercings done at Claire’s & I was very hesitant about it... but for anyone wondering, they actually don’t use blunt ended earrings, the earring end was actually sharp just like a needle. & they offer longer posts, which I got because I have thick earlobes. I’m thinking about getting a third piercing on my earlobes & definitely want to go to a piercing shop this time though!

I am so glad you made this. I had the standard hole in my ear since I was 8 then got the second hole above it when I was 15, I am 30 now. I had accidentally let my second hole grow back and I was left with scars that I couldn't cover. Since I love wearing earrings I decided to have my second hole redone last month (mainly to be able to put an earring there to cover the scars from the original hole) I was concerned that having the second hole was "in style" anymore. Thank you for making this now I feel better about getting my second holes re-pierced.

I have my conch, tragus, helix and 3 first holes and girl let me tell you. All of them took 3 weeks maximum to heal. Take cooking salt in a small dish, poor over some boiling water, let it desolve and put in front and back of your ear 3 times a day for a week and you are saved from all the pain ❤️

Oh wow...you got so many piercings in such a short time, my piercer said she won‘t pierce my ears unless the current ones are healed (or not hurt anymore). I really can‘t wait to get my double flat done and I also can‘t wait to change the earrings. My left ear is still very swollen and red (they are 2 weeks old-ish).

I have multiple piercings ( 4 earlobes on each ear, daith, tragus, rook, conch, 5 helix) from my experience tea tree oil helps, but the best thing to do from experience is to not touch,change or move your jewelry at all during the healing process. The best thing I've found to clean my new piercings with is salt water soaks.....that's it. I also use a travel pillow at night so I'm not putting pressure on my healing piercings. I use to get the bump all the time because I was twisting my new piercings or changing them before they were completely healed. Once I quit touching or moving them I didn't get a bump and the heal faster. I also quit using q-tips and just use paper towels.

Tea tree oil might be too harsh for some, so another cheap and great remedy is sea salt water. Boil about half a cup of water and half a teaspoon of sea salt. Wet a napkin with the solution and let it sit on the bump for 15-30 minutes. You can do this 2 times a day. I got two bumps on my my tragus piercing one on the inside that went away in three days with the method mentioned above and the one on the outside which was much bigger went away in about a week. And somehow healed the piercing completely!! So I’ll say this definitely helps with healing as well!! Hope this helps someone

My person recommended sailing wound wash that you can get at most drug stores, Target or Walmart to clean the cartilage piercing. It has worked great and is usually around $6.

My tragus piercing was the quickest and least painful piercing I have! And mine healed super fast and easy. I also got my rook pierced over a year ago, and it still hasn’t completely healed 😭 I have a keloid on that one as well, but I’m definitely gonna have to try the tea tree oil on it now!
