I understand that the piercer is a professional & I am not. But everyone in the history or ever knows you shouldn't pierce & use a hoop to heal. That's a big NO !

The Real Michelle and you are right. Also, the gage used is way to thin. Got it done at the same place. Very nice place I must say. But now, I got it (all of them - did 2) all removed since the ring and the gage (o,8mm / 20 gauge was cutting the skin inside the hole and get it swollen and angry. I was sad to remove it but my piercing (another one) manage to stretched the hole to put a proper jewel. And not a ring. More painful process as the piercing itself. 😣

@@annc9850 Glad you put a larger gauge in your piercing and was able to save it. 20 gauge is way too thin (think cheese cutter) to be used in any piercing, especially a new one. I have 28 piercings myself, and the smallest gauge I have is 16. Piercings are being done with too small gauges and jewelry sizes nowadays. It was better in the 80s/90s. (Jan Griffiths).

I can't believe how calm you guys all are! I got a second nostril piercing for my 30th with my two BFFs last year and my vid is so much more dramatic than this one! Ha! Kinda ridiculous considering I have four kids, including identical twins, who I carried to 40 weeks and birthed 100% unmedicated with a doula! Birth I can handle but piercings still freak me out! Nisha, you're a beast! You handled that so well!

I am COVERED in tattoos and I said that the thought of getting pierced again (I’d had a few when I was a teen) made me nauseous and I’d never get a piercing again. Last august, I got two nose piercings on the same side, a week later I added a philtrum piercing, and in February I got a helix, daith, and tragus in each ear and began re-stretching my lobes. I have one child, complicated delivery, but natural birth. I had to get an epi because my body was fighting labor and our vitals tanked, but it wasn’t working well. I said I’d rather go through childbirth again than get pierced XD and now I’m piercing all the things. I still have a few I want to get, but I can’t get any more for 3 months at least, since piercing is a stress on your body and I got so many in my ears at once.

Ok so here i am; Last week i finally got a cartiledge peircing. It was very spontaneous. I went into a known qualified, certified tattoo place in Elgin, il on Chicago st. The guys name is Joe. Calm. Clean. Professional. He will not pierce with a small hoop which was my first choice, but would change it out for me after 6m, allowing for healing. He, too, used a huge needle and Will not use a gun. The whole thing was about 11min and rather pain free. It started to hurt only a bit, after 3 days. But not much. I love it. I have never ever done any thing like this so spontaneously. He used a titanium small ball, i asked about sterling, he said no until 1yr since it contains nickle. This guy knows his stuff. Delighted. Mk. IL Ps. Did i mention i am 61?

Sterling is one of the worst metals you can use, even for healed piercings. It tarnishes, and that can stain your skin permanently. Silver colored titanium is a much better choice. It dosen't tarnish, and has no nickel to irritate the piercing. Nickel will irritate piercings that are years old. (Jan Griffiths).

Man... now I want MY ears pierced! I've had the same, middle-of-the-lobe, one-hole-each-ear piercings since I was 5 years old. I almost got a cartridge piercing in university, but my friends talked me out of it. To be fair, I'm glad they did because I was about to go to Claire's to get it done and I'm fairly certain it would have been awful. I've been wanting to get my first tattoo real bad lately, but maybe I'll start with a new piercing instead- LOVE the double one you got Nisha! So perfect with the way you wear your hair! I wear my hair up all the time for work (I'm a nurse) and having a couple more ear piercings would be nice.

upper cartilage piercings heal best if they’re pierced with a needle and if you wear a stud for the first couple of months :) I have two lobe piercings on one side, three lobes and a helix on the other ear and I love having them

Good thing your friends talked you out of Claire's. Guns aren't safe for ear piercings esp anything outside of ear lobes, you can find plenty of info on why it's not good. A hallow needle is the best and easiest. For me, personally, the swelling and pain...over in a day. Just can't lay on them so yeah...healing has been good. But yeah guns aren't good...you can shatter the cartilage cause of the speed and force they put the stud in, since they don't use a needle the stud is shoved through and it's duller than the needle. Friends made the right call. But I say if you want it go for it! I'm 32 and just got two cartilage piercings in my left ear, more to come.

Wellllll, it depends on where you go and where you live. When I paid for two on each ear in my cartilage, it was $50. It also depends on where you get it in the ear. Some cost more because it could be difficult to get into that space. What you’d have to do is call around your tattoo shops and see what the round about is. Might be tmi but I paid I believe $60 for my nipples. So it seems that anything that’s a double come to about $60 bucks. I knew the dude who did my ears and he brought it down $10. Soo probably close to $200.

I have the daith piercings in both ears. I love them, but only bc they completely stopped my migraines. I definitely wouldn't recommend getting them just to make your ears cute. Getting them pierced was very painful, and I can't wear in-ear headphones bc of where they are located. Ya'lls ears look so cute though 😊

You guys are about to bring back all the ear piercings! In high school I had my industrial ( I know such a rebel lol) and also my upper cartilage on my other ear, let both grow over once I graduated. I do have my doubles too, but I really only wear my singles now. I really really want a thin gold hoop nose ring but my job doesn't allow facial piercings.
