The giant Topaz at the natural history museum is kinda amazing? I remember seeing it as a kid and it literally being almost bigger than me I loved finding out all of the different colors topaz came in when I went there (as it's my birthstone) becuase suddenly I didn't just have a yellow stone, I couild have a pink one!

I don’t think of blue topaz when I hear someone say topaz. I think of golden topaz. I remember once being at school and doing this activity where I have to find jewels of multiple colors in clay. I think it was to help learn the colors of the rainbow. The jewels were plastic, but I would be like giving gem names to each like this: Red - Ruby Orange - Amber Yellow - Topaz Green - Emerald Blue - Sapphire Purple - Amethyst

I like Purple the most for colors of Topaz. It seems that Purple Topaz commonly comes from a mine called, "Ouro Preto" which is in Minas Gerais, Brazil from what I've researched on Mindat.
