I am a junior in high school, and when I looked into NYU's photography and imaging courses at Tisch, it was the first time I got genuinely excited for college. I've never even been to New York (I'm going over spring break), but I can already tell I'm going to love it. These videos have helped me a lot on what to expect. I'm mostly worried that I set the bar too high. At this point I feel like nothing can top how I feel about NYU and their photography courses, and I don't know what I do if I don't get in. Excitement and anxiety are both eating me alive because I'm so excited for college to come to be able to experience NYU, but I'm also so worried that I may not get in!!!

hey! I'm a sophomore in high school and I'm really interested in NYU. I'm really worried because this is the first time I actually want to go to a specific college and I really want to get in. I'm not the smartest person in the world. I'm not a straight A student or anything like that and I definitely struggle in finding what I like to do but for the first time I know that this is the college that I want to go to. I know a lot of people tell me to start early in high school, getting involved a lot but overall I'd love it if you gave me some advice especially to a sophomore so yeah. I hope you see this and can reply. thanks :)

+tina bear I actually talked to the administration officer of NYU Abu Dhabi and the biggest advice she gave me was try to come up with an app that sort of shows a specific interest and cater to that interest. Being a well rounded student is ok but being a spike student is apparently better. you can check out my how to get into college video, that will help! but I'm not the admissions people so i don't actually know what they are looking for. to me it seemed like they really wanted to see your passion for your intended major reflected in your high school extracurriculars, AP classes are always a bonus, leadership positions, things like that :) and the common app essays are really important!

Your videos are making my day! super helpful and excited to get an insight in the university life and suggesting which major to choose, I was actually debating over PR or journalism but your major seems to include both of them in one! And a New Yorker kind of life has always been my dream

Thank you so much for your video! My 17 yr old son is narrowing down his list of colleges to apply to in the fall and his big concern is getting from class to class, the student center, etc. from his resident hall. From NYU's official virtual video he watched last night it seemed like a lot of running or even taking the bus. Also, how safe and accepting do you feel NYU is to non-white, LGBTQ students? (I've heard the stereotype so many times to just force him into theatre classes in order to find a group of like-minded friends, but his passion is advocacy law, not the stage.) (To those thinking it's weird that a parent is posting this, rather than my son himself, he's swamped with other things like prepping for the SATs & asked for help in research. It's HIS decision where to go; his dad and I are just assistants, happily doing some of the grunt work. :) )
@sophielewis4239 жыл бұрын
***** hi! that certainly depends on where he ends up dorming. there are 3 freshman dorms that are right on washington square park, meaning his commute would be about 30 seconds to class. there are others that are in the union square area (where i lived), about a 10-15 minute walk (which is actually quite relaxing). the student center (i am assuming you mean kimmel) is right on the park near all of the main class buildings and the library, so it really is like a typical campus centered around the park. i sometimes took the bus to my dorm from school, but only because it was really cold, not because of the walk. i am confident that your son would be accepted here at nyu. honestly, everyone i have met is completely open minded and accepting of every race, religion, sexuality, etc. we are all weird and different and no one is judged based on those things. i may be a bit biased given that i am a straight, white female, but i have never seen anyone have any issues and i have met quite a diverse group of people. he will not be forced into theater if he does not want to be, and i suggest he join clubs that reflect his interests and career aspirations to meet like-minded people! nyu is definitely not filled with just white people, and we are actually around 20% international students, so race is not a big deal. there are many lgbtq students if he wants to find them, but it is not necessary that those be his only friends. i think it's so sweet that you are helping your son do his college research; i always appreciate seeing parents that help their children figure out where they want to go rather than forcing them into a school :) hope this helps, and let me know if you have more questions!

ps I know we already talked about this but I think many people would be interested in knowing about how you picked your major and if you can switch it and the application process. Maybe also the financial aspect of going to school in the US. Idk i feel like that's what I was reaaaally interested in when I first DM'd you but maybe it's just because I'm from another country. Great video anyway :)
@sophielewis42310 жыл бұрын
Chiara Cami i will definitely try to talk about those a bit in my next college video, but it is hard for me to talk about the international process because i am from here. my suite mate is international though so i can ask her a bit :) just to answer so you know right now, i do know that as an international student you have to prove that you can pay NYU's tuition up front and i am pretty sure you cannot get any sort of financial aid. NYU's tuition is nearly $70k + room and board so its crazy expensive. i'll ask my suite mate though and include it in a future video!

Hi Sophie! I just found your video/channel searching through KZbin for NYU related videos. I only watched the first 2 minutes so far, but I already know, that it is going to be SUPER helpful, so Im typing up this comment before I forget. I am actually studying something similar to you in Berlin at Humboldt University / Cultural and Media Studies / and applied to NYU as a transfer student for the 2015 Fall/Winter semester. I just got an e-mail on Thursday about my application and I got through to the interviews! Do you have any tips on preparing? Thank you so much for this video, I will now resume the viewing :)
@sophielewis42310 жыл бұрын
hi! first of all thank you for this incredible sweet comment, i really appreciate it! second, MASSIVE congrats on getting an interview that is incredible :D I think one of the most important things is to be confident in your achievements, and to make sure your passion for what you are studying comes across during the interview. they are looking for passionate students who are eager to learn and eager to take advantage of everything NYC has to offer, so familiarize yourself with the NYC campus and new york as a whole, and how studying in new york will be beneficial to your career and your learning experiences. i also think it is a good idea to know a few specific classes or professors that you are super interested in (they can be found online), the more specific the better! i hope this helps, and feel free to ask me more questions if you have them. GOOD LUCK!!

Also, could you possibly make a list ranking freshman residence halls? I would like to live closer to where the classes are but I don't really know which ones to put down for my housing preference.
@sophielewis4239 жыл бұрын
Alice Cheng hmm i could potentially do that, except i haven't actually been inside all of the freshman residence halls so i may have a skewed perspective of some of them. in case i don't mention it in a video before you need to fill out housing, my personal preference are the ones further from campus (they aren't actually that far, they are a 15 minute walk and its actually such a nice walk, i really like it). most freshman i know live in uhall, third north, or palladium (where i live), which are all close to each other near union square. they are apartment style which is what personally appeals to me because i wanted multiple rooms and a kitchen, and they all have food and palladium has the gym. i know someone who lives in weinstein which is right on campus and she loves that as well, but it is very different. it is much similar to a typical dorm experience where everyone leaves their door open and stuff like that. another option is hayden, which was closed this year but is apparently popular and close to campus. theres also rubin, which no one really goes for because it has no air conditioning, but it has a beautiful location on fifth ave. founders, goddard, and brittany are (i think) the only other freshman options, but i haven't heard much about them other than that founders has big rooms and nice views (but its close to third north and not apartment style). Apartment style was a huge deal for me, so i think i ranked them palladium, third north, uhall, founders, weinstein, brittany, goddard, rubin. if you want close to campus, i think i would recommend hayden bc that seemed popular in the past (if its reopened) or weinstein. hope that helps!

Loved this video! I'm from the UK but love NYC and am so jealous of you living and studying there. I was wondering, with what little knowledge of how sororities work in America, how do they work in NYC? Do they have houses like some other colleges do? Sorry if this is a dumb question but I'm intrigued!
@sophielewis4239 жыл бұрын
+Katie Banks not a dumb question! sororities work differently at every school. nyu is not a big school for sororities, so we don't do them the same way other schools do. many people in sororities live together in one of our dorms called lafayette, but many choose not to live there as well. no houses. it is more like a club at nyu versus a complete life takeover at other schools haha hope this helps!
@connorbooher23298 жыл бұрын
Hey Sophie! Very informative video. Thank you so much! I just have one question: Is NYU regarded as a prestigious school? Not in a pretentious way, but do you feel respected for going there? I've heard mixed comments ranging from NYU being easy to it being regarded as one of the better schools in the nation... Your feedback and experience would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!
@sophielewis4238 жыл бұрын
from experience, it has a very good reputation. when i go on job interviews/tell people i go to nyu, they always say "wow that's amazing" or "oh you must be so smart" or something like that. we are ranked pretty well, and i think the rankings of tisch and stern definitely help with the prestige of the school overall. i would never say that going to school here is easy. between classes and internships and clubs it's just as stressful as any other college i assume. hope that helps :)

I went to city tech and I think it all depends on what you are interested in as a degree. The top degrees are graphic design, dentistry, and technology majors. If you aren't interested in those don't waste your time. It's not a social school and not a well funded school. If you have a good GPA I would go to another school.

I considered applying to NYU (I'm going to Penn State main campus) but I opted not to because I have really high anxiety and severe depression and I thought a big city would be dangerous for my mood and my ability to adjust since I'm already having to adapt to leaving home for next year and I wasn't sure (and I'm still not) if I was intelligent enough to get into that school and plus as an undecided student I thought it was too expensive but it I decide PSU isn't for me and I considered transferring (NYU fascinates me) do you have any specific words of advice or any input as to how difficult it may be or may not be to get in? That's probably a really weird questions. 😂😂😂
@sophielewis4238 жыл бұрын
hmm i think it depends on how well you do your first year at penn state. that's definitely a huge factor. take courses that really interest you so you can figure out what you may want to major in in the future, and make sure to do well in those courses and show improvement. that would probably help the most :)
@aminas639110 жыл бұрын
Hi, I wanted to know about the campus of NYU! I wanted to go there all of my freshman year in high school until I discovered that there is not a lot of campus community/ a sense of campus. What is there to do in NYU, and do you feel like it is like most other colleges or different?
@sophielewis4239 жыл бұрын
+Lucas Pirtle i would appreciate you not trying to scare people in my comments. just because you are a native does not give you the right to be obnoxious towards nyu students. as i said in my other comment, you do not have the right to speak on behalf of all new yorkers. 99% of people i have met at this school have no trust fund, work multiple jobs, and are proud of their education. it is unfair of you to judge us like this.
@kevinrob39109 жыл бұрын
Your grades in high school versus your grades in college are different. Different level of critical thinking in most college classes, but your first year in college usually are very similar to high school. Mostly just exams, but once get further along in your major you do more essay, group work in my opinion. What you think? Your GPA in the first semester of college is a 0.00 (unless already done college credits) until complete and receive a final grade. Just don't freak out people when struggling in first semester, use your resources- tutoring center, disability services if have learning disability and so forth.

Your videos are a life saver! As someone who is potentially committing to NYU next week, your insight is really helpful :) I just have one question: do you feel like living in New York forces you to be a typical "adult"? What i mean by this is: do you feel like a college student, or do the city and people make you go from 18 to 30? I want to find a place where I can be completely serious at times, but also find people who occasionally want to be goofy and carefree. I get that NYU students are typically intense but I guess what I'm saying is, how intense, and is it 24/7?
@sophielewis4239 жыл бұрын
Maura McNulty hi! good luck with your decision, i know it's quite difficult. i am so glad you have enjoyed my videos :) i may be a bit bias here, bc i definitely did not want a typical college experience. i didn't want the all night every night partying, the constant drinking, greek life, etc. nyu is certainly not centered around those things. however, it is also in an area filled with young people, so you definitely won't feel like you're 30. the village is filled with cool people in their 20s and plenty of bars, which is where i think most nyu people go out, rather than parties. there are still some frats and sororities that have parties if you want them, but most of the people i know go to clubs and bars when they want to go out (there is this great one called dahlias that tons of people go to and is really fun). people here still want to have fun, but i think in different ways to typical college students. you certainly have to be an adult in some ways though (for instance i have a friend from another school who is basically scared to cross the street alone--this would not be good if she went to nyu haha), and internships and jobs are definitely pushed here earlier on, but overall i don't think it forces you to grow up too quickly. hope this helps!

Question- I love New York City so much and this would probably be my biggest reason for going to NYU. But I'm wondering- would I even have time to enjoy the city? I already barely have time for anything in high school and idk how demanding the classes at NYU are.
@sophielewis4238 жыл бұрын
+Jenna i find i have more time in college than in high school, but i think it all depends on what you want to do outside of classes. you will definitely have time to explore, but it depends if you take jobs, internships, leadership positions in clubs, etc. classes are demanding, but you will see you have a ton more time :)

Hey:) I'm a junior right now, and I've been struggling with depression for the first two years, ending up with mainly B pluses and the occasional A with a 3.4 GPA. If I get straight A's this year with three APs this year and 5 APs next year and try to get as high as I can will i have a chance? Thanks :)

hi! just wanted to say i love your channel! okay so i'm going to be a junior and have always dreamt of going to NYU (or columbia but that's reallyyyy unrealistic haha) but ever since i was little I've always felt drawn to the city! So my gpa is a 98.8 and that probably translates to somewhere around a 4.0 I guess? Anyways all of my classes are either advanced or APS (besides this years math) and I will be taking 2 APs this year (I took one AP last year but freaked out when the test came and unfortunately didn't pass, however I did really well in the class) I did well on the PSAT and know that with some hard work I can meet NYUS standards. I am an active member of Model United Nations, am enrolled in honor societies, am a representative for my high school for my county, am going to get involved with the school newspaper and youth court (where you practice being s judge, attorney, etc.) and have been a dancer all my life. I hope to be a lawyer, an editor for a magazine (possibly fashion or beauty), or work in the advertising/the media field. Because of this I am thinking of studying communications! Do you think that will be a good major for me? And do you think I can even get in? NYU is my dreams and I am thinking about college a lot recently. I know it's still early but I'm worried and I want do everything I can to be accepted. Thank you so much!

also not to be invasive but can you tell me a bit about the financial aid process? if you needed any, did they offer a substantial amount and with what i'm doing so you think i could receive a substantial amount? oh also could you tell me a bit about studying abroad if you did that? thanks!!!
@sophielewis4237 жыл бұрын
so first of all, i do not work in admissions, so i am not qualified to say whether or not you can get in. it's all luck anyways, so all you can do is put your best self forward. it's wonderful that you are so involved, and you should definitely make sure that passion comes through in your essays on your application! if you want to be a lawyer, you probably should not study comm (called media, culture, and comm at NYU) but that would be a great major for working in magazines/advertising. nyu is notoriously bad about giving financial aid, but they do give out a lot of merit scholarships (this is what i got). financial aid has nothing to do with what you do and everything to do with how much your parents make, so i cant predict how much you will be awarded. also, i have a whole playlist about studying abroad if you want more info :)

Hi! I am a rising sophomore and I was wondering if NYU looked at high school Regents exams. I got a 90 in Algebra 1 but a 77 in Earth Science which is terrible because I want to go into a science major. I was just wondering if NYU does look at these grades.
@sophielewis4238 жыл бұрын
i'm not really sure to be honest, but you definitely don't send nyu regents scores yourself so i'm not sure if they would go out of their way to get them, especially because no other states take regents exams, so honestly i think they probably don't look at them (but i'm not 100% certain, your guidance counselor might know!)

@sophielewis4239 жыл бұрын
+maria vivanco it isn't that tough to switch majors or schools in NYU except you can't switch into stern i don't think but other than that you can move around if you don't like something. If you want some sort of engineering definitely apply to the engineering school and then you can move around within that to find the kind of engineering you want. but if you want comp sci or even something like physics or biology then apply to CAS and move around within that :)

I don't know if you know, but if you major in Journalism you have to also have another major/double major. I was wondering if you can us MCC as your double major because I am interested in both majors! xx
@sophielewis4237 жыл бұрын
yes i do know that, it's why i didn't major in journalism here. to do that, you have to start as MCC and then choose journalism, you can't go the other way around. because if you start as journalism, you have to double within CAS, and MCC is in steinhardt. so basically, you should apply to steinhardt for MCC, then add journalism after you get here :)

How many AP classes did you take in high school? I am a junior now and by the end of highs school I will of taken 5 AP classes. Also, do you know how much SATs scores are factored into acceptance at NYU? My GPA is pretty high but my SATs are not as high. Also do you need to take subject tests to get into NYU? If so, how many? Thank you
@sophielewis4239 жыл бұрын
Diane Brunke i took i think 10 or 11 through HS. but my high school happened to offer a ton of APs so taking a lot was common. i have friends at NYU that only took a few. i cannot speak for everyone, but personally i didn't even send my SATs. my GPA was 98, my ACT was 34, and my SAT was only 2100 (which seems good but i actually have an 800 writing and a terrible math). I would say make sure everything else is high and don't stress too much about SAT. NYU doesn't require subject tests, but it can't hurt to send them if you have taken any. i took 3 and sent my best one :)

hmm it's hard to say on a nightly basis because you usually have a few days to get hw done and also i do hw in between classes, but i would say a few hours a day working on both short term and long term work. I'm not a huge studier before exams i'll usually study for like an hour or two the night before, but i spend many many hours on papers in the weeks leading up to the due date. that made no sense but i hope it helped a bit! everyone is different. i'm not going to grad school, but i think above a 3.5 is pretty necessary for a good grad school :)

Hi Sophie! So I applied to NYU this year, have a theater audition in January and I am so excited. I'm going to NY for my first time as well over winter to check it out and make sure I like it. I know you said you don't have to party, like parties are there but it's whatever really, but I was wondering if you have time to yourself? Like I am an only child and I'm pretty nervous to dorm with someone else because I do like my alone time after a hard day's work and stuff. The partying isn't a problem right? Is there quiet time? Thanks for the video by the way, it really helped me a lot
@sophielewis4239 жыл бұрын
+Camryn Michele hi camryn! good luck with your audition :) let me know if you want any recommendations for when you come visit! the having time to yourself thing sort of depends on your roommates. some roommates (like the one i have this year) are never in the room and so i always have plenty of alone time and find my apartment very relaxing. but last year my dorm was always quite crowded with people because my suite mates had people over a lot, so i would often escape to the library or study lounge to get some quiet time. there is an option on the housing portal to say you would like a more quiet room so that could help with roommate selection! :)

@sophielewis4239 жыл бұрын
David Hernandez hi david! that's great that you are getting a head start before school begins that is always my first tip! I'm not sure if the common app has changed since i used it, but if they still don't let you upload your own resume pdf, i recommend sending it to the admissions office email. i did this for all of the schools i applied to and i received several responses thanking me for taking the initiative to send a personal resume since the common app resume format is so limiting. i also recommend focusing on your passions and your desired major, and demonstrating what you did in high school that applies to that field. for example, because i am studying media and business, i spoke about being president of the business club, blogging and youtube, etc. really narrow your focus to reflect your future academic and career goals. i also recommend sending all of your ap scores, as that couldn't hurt, but don't feel pressured to send all of your standardized tests (i sent only my act not my sat). let me know if you have any more specific questions! :)

Im interested in the financial aid portion of NYU would they pay for tuition if income is below a certain number so that you don't have to take out loans?
@sophielewis42310 жыл бұрын
***** it is very different for every person so i definitely can't say they will for sure, it is all based on individual family's needs. i have no idea what a family needs to make in order to qualify for full tuition financial aid, as i am not in that position, but i know that there are definitely people at nyu who are not the wealthiest people and have help from the school. it is a complex process though. there are a lot of scholarships, grants, and different types of financial aid that you can apply for, some of which may be granted, some not, depending on the situation. i would say that it is worth it to apply because there is a chance you can get a lot of aid, but there isn't a definite chance you will. however, i think very few people have their full tuition paid for without loans, as it's not really something that the university can accommodate. definitely apply though, and good luck :) hope that helps!

I got into NYU Steinhardt literally yesterday and I want to take design/art, multimedia and visual communication classes. Is that the course you are taking? If so, really, how is it? And if I ever want to take other courses in different colleges or even change my major (tisch, stern, etc) is it easy to do so? I'm really not sure if I want to go to NYU or USC for the things I want to study and ugh I NEED HELP DECIDING!!!!!!!!
@sophielewis4239 жыл бұрын
Kate Moon hi kate! first, CONGRATS!!! i was actually deciding between NYU and USC as well and decided that since i'm not the biggest california fan and love nyc, nyu was the right fit. location was a huge factor in my decision. my major at nyu is media, culture, and communication. i really do love the course, as you start by taking broad classes and then choose concentrations that are specific to your interests. you can easily take courses/minor in any other school, and internal transfer is possible, but internal transfer to stern is rare. you can minor in stern, tisch, etc. (my minor is actually in stern, tisch, and steinhardt). i think either school would be great, although nyu is definitely more artsy where usc is more of a party school. let me know if you have more questions!

hey sophie, what's the difference between a scholar ship and merit based scholarship? i'm from the u.k. looking to study at NYU, however we wouldn't be able to afford it. How much does the scholarship pay for? xx
@sophielewis4238 жыл бұрын
so basically there are different kinds of scholarships that you can be awarded for different achievements. a merit-based scholarship means that you are being awarded for getting really good grades before coming to NYU. to my knowledge, these are the only kinds of scholarships NYU offers directly, and they are fairly common, but they range in how much people are awarded. you can apply to other types of scholarships through outside organizations, but i don't think there are any you can apply to at NYU (it is just awarded upon acceptance). unfortunately, international students do not qualify for financial aid, but they are eligible for scholarships. good luck xx

what does living in NYC mean to you? I'm from Nashville, TN and want to go into communications and marketing/business, but I've never really had the big city experience before. What kinds of things make a person fit to live in NYC?
@sophielewis4239 жыл бұрын
+Erin Oquindo hm this is kind of tough to answer...i guess being independent is very important, not minding taking subways or walking lots, getting used to feeling a little bit alone, and it's very loud, which definitely takes A LOT of getting used to...but it's still the best city in the world :)

Hi! I'm a senior right now and I am really set on applying to NYU as my dream school, is MCC a competitive course? It's a course I really have been looking at for a long time. And what are sample internship opportunities you got? :) If it's alright with you!
@sophielewis4238 жыл бұрын
i think everything at nyu is pretty competitive to get in to, but once there mcc is pretty manageable :) i was the PR intern last summer for a jewelry company called Dannijo and this summer i am interning at another jewelry company called pamela love. but nyu has thousands of internships available on the career portal!

Hey! This video was super helpful. I'm attending NYU in the fall for pre-med. Do you know any freshman pre-med students, and if so, what is the workload like for them? I've heard the pre-med at NYU is pretty competitive and cutthroat and I just wanna mentally prepare myself haha.
@sophielewis4239 жыл бұрын
Alice Cheng Congrats!! thats amazing :) i actually only know of 1 pre-med student (he went to my high school) and they seem to take pretty intense classes, so it is definitely something you need to prepare yourself for. In general, i think everyone at nyu is fairly competitive, but you don't really have to take part in that if you don't want to. just be a nice person and always do your best for yourself, not to beat someone else :) i do know of one kid who was pre med but dropped, but i think it was because he realized he didn't want to be a doctor, not because of the workload. it is definitely hard and intense and stressful, but if it's what you really want to do then you will succeed :) but yes, honestly the competition here is a bit annoying at times, everyone is definitely trying to be more impressive than everyone else, but i just try to stay out of it haha

Hi Sophie! I've subscribed to you almost a year ago when I decided to apply to NYU and right now I'm choosing freshman housing!! There're so many uncertainties around housing and living in NYC in general, and you're the first person I think of! I've tried to limit them down and would be overly delighted if you could answer them. :) 1. Does the "Choices Community" really make a difference? Because I am actually quite keen about that idea and have noticed that not many halls offer that kind of housing. Are they very different from the usual or simply called that by name but actually function similarly? 2. Is subway one of the main ways of transport? Because some halls claim to be particularly close to subway, so I was wondering if that's a giant advantage or should I consider other factors rather than this? 3. Currently I'm considering either Hayden, Founders or Brittany. Do you have anything to say about them? (impressions, experiences, word of mouth etc) 4. If I have friends going together but studying a different course, is it likely for us to have time to spend together? (I know this sounds really stupid because we'll make new friends...) This seems like a big favor to ask but it would be immensely helpful if you could give me some comments :) Thanks so much!!

+Sunshine Sun hi! massive congratulations!! so happy for you :) 1. so it kinda depends on which one, but i think for the most part they aren't really that different. you kinda get out of it what you put into it, but that is sort of how it is with any dorm. if there is one that specifically really appeals to you go for it, but keep in mind that it is also nice to live with people with completely different interests to you. you can't go wrong either way! 2. being near a subway is a giant advantage. in terms of getting to class, i would say the bus is actually more convenient/popular (theres an app with the times it comes and it goes directly from dorm to campus). but you are going to want to explore the city and such and so for that being near a subway is great. especially the union sq station :) 3. hayden is fantastic. great views, newly renovated, good floor bonding, and the dining hall is one of my favorites. also bonus being near a subway and on campus. definitely the one i would recommend out of those. founders and brittany aren't as popular because they aren't on campus but also aren't apartment style (that's usually the trade off like with uhall or third north). they are both very nice dorms, but no food and not apartment style are big downfalls. 4. i think it depends on the major (like nursing students are pretty busy for example) but in general you will find you have much more free time than in high school. you can join clubs together or end up in the same dorm, so don't worry :)

I scored a 'D' in general papers in the A levels(Universities dont recognize this subject). I have 2as and 2Bs other than that. Should i apply to NYU?
@sophielewis4238 жыл бұрын
i have no idea how A levels work so i'm not really sure, but i do know that it can never hurt to apply, so you may as well :)

+Sophie Lewis I have a super important question. should i give SAT2 for the subjects of bio maths1 and chem. This won't fulfill my standarized test requirement but will strengthen my application. do you suggest SAT2?

In this video you said that you don't like crowds or tons of people and I'm the exact same way and in those situations it causes me to have severe anxiety. I am considering going to NYU and was wondering if the class sizes are too overwhelming and 'scary' in a way
@sophielewis4238 жыл бұрын
the majority of courses are around 20 people. i have taken a few lecture courses, but they are held in spacious auditoriums that are very air conditioned so i don't find them stressful since you definitely have your own space it doesn't feel crowded. there definitely are some large courses, but most are not :)
