Thanks so much for this overview! I'm dying to try the Rembrandt dry pastels made with gum arabic (so they can be used with watercolor.)

You can use the watersoluble pastels ( the vicky ones) on a palette. Scribble them down and pick the pigment up with your brush...carandache has a special palette for it. Works very well💕

Carb Othello pencils do move with water, which is why I bought them.

The neocolor ii are really so unique, and beautiful. BTW I did snap a couple of mine, because I was holding the crayon higher up towards the middle and with too much pressure.

Robin Jeree Thanks for sharing, I’ll keep that in mind! :) I am now working on my first online course, can’t reveal too much, but there might be some Watercolor and Neocolor 2 playtime, which I am enjoying so much... When you combine the two it’s like magic happens! 😁

@@dianekhamilton I mainly use them to do loose drawings in my sketchbook. For example I pick out a reference and then try to draw it in 5 or 10 minutes ☺️

Gintarine Mergaite thank you! They are matte when using with water, do you mean whether they have a glossy finish? They are definitely matte, but can have a lovely transparency when diluted with water. :)
