My thoughts on single bun parents: I rescued a single bunny from a family member who couldn't look after her anymore. However, I can say she has the up most attention from every single person in the house. She is free roam around my house and at night, she is in my bedroom sleeping at the end of my bed. At the minute, I cannot physically bond a rabbit with her. I do not have the space to start a bonding process in my house at this time. I've always been made to feel bad about my bun being the only bun but she is actually extremely happy. She's spoilt with veggies, treats, toys, cuddles and space! She is so loving and trusting. Every bun is different and every situation is different for when it comes to bonding bunnies. Yes, if I would have rescued a rabbit from the shelter etc I would have got a bonded pair. I do believe all buns should be in a bonded pair but I think it's okay to have one IF you are to provide it with ultimate attention and care. So to all my bun parents who have one single bun, it is okay. Do not feel bad. Please do not feel as if you aren't doing enough for your bun because you do not have another rabbit bonded to your current one. You know your bun and you know how well you provide for your bun. Well done for being caring.

It's definitely not okay lmao 😂 It's literally proven they value companionship as much as they do food. They are social animals they need their own kind
@Patbun.
@Patbun. 2 жыл бұрын
@@thequeerbee2026 Yes, like I said it's definitely recommended to get a bonded pair and you should never really have one single bunny. Though guess what, sometimes that's not possible in some scenarios and households, like mine. As a community, we should be supporting people who only have one bunny. It's unfair to completely rule out their happiness because they aren't with their own kind. My bunny is free roam around my whole house and sleeps at the end of my bed every single night. You cannot assume that my bunny isn't happy and neither can you decide this for other people. So yet again, to all the single bun parents who are reading this: You are doing amazing. I'm sorry that some people make you feel guilty for only having one. Keep doing what you do. Happy parenting :)

i got my rabbit when i was 11 years old and didn’t know they needed to be spayed, by the time i was more educated she was already a senior and it wouldn’t be safe for her to get spayed, so she’s stuck being a single bun. everyone should do the best they can with the knowledge they have, i’ve improved her care a TON since i got her she went from living in a tiny cage and eating only pellets to being freeroamed with a proper diet.

I am 52 with children grown and on their own and have recently become a bunny mom! We adopted our bun from a shelter about three months ago and your videos have been my "go to". My Mochi looks a bit like Sterling lol and he has brought so much joy. Bunnies certainly come with a huge learning curve as their care can be complex but he is so worth it! Thank you for the valuable and competent information you have provided. So much of what I now know about how to care for Mochi and give him his best life is because of the resources you provide with your channel. Just bought the hidey maze from your online shop, can't wait to see how he likes it!

My rabbit's favorite form of enrichment at the moment is when I take a wicker ball and stuff it with hay! He goes crazy for it! My gosh, the sadness in his eyes when his first wicker ball finally fell apart 😅 Unfortunately, I'm not able to take care of more than one rabbit, so it's just Cinnabun here. He's incredibly happy playing with my youngest sister, though, and climbing all over her. So he definitely gets socialization.

This is a great video!! I am wanting to change things up for my buns. Especially because they don’t like to be handled and one won’t even let me pet her :( . I wish I could figure out how to get them calmer but what I’ve tried hasn’t really worked and they have their own room but I have to keep the door closed because of other pets in the house. That, I know isolates them more and it’s harder to spend enough time with them. A conundrum….

I was ROOOOOOOOOLIN!!^^ Make it like a nascar, wide circle, with some passages thru the middle "island". He'll go around real slow first, and like, map it out, and then after a few sniffs and popcorns, BOOOM, like the flash lol!! Enrichment!^^ \O>

Sorry but this is not true that rabbits should only be housed with rabbits ... I have had rabbits and cats together for a few years and they are a very good pairing for the most part - assuming you test first to make sure the cat is not predatory toward the rabbit. They make extremely cute cuddle buddies and friends and nap buddies.❤ Some rabbits and some cats refuse bonding with with their own species so this is a great opportunity to see if they mix well cross species.

guys i need help. im getting my 1 month old mix lionheadlop bunny next week. by that time, she would be around 4 and half weeks of age. what should i feed my 1 month old bunny? i know that under 7 weeks of age, bunnies should still be drinking milk from her mother. but here in my country, breeders sell bunnies as early as 1 month of age. ive been doing my research and found that i should give them unlimited alfalfa hay and water, goats milk as a substitute from her mother’s milk, and alfalfa pellets. my problem is i don’t know the schedule on giving them these foods. can someone educate me? 1. how many times in a day should i give my 1 month old bunny milk and how much? 2. for the pellets, should i give it to her unlimited or schedule it same like with giving her milk? 3. how should i give my bunny milk? do i hand feed her with a bottle? also, i would also like to know what i should prepare in her pen? i bought an xl litter box with drawer under to put pee pads, i made her a hay feeder, bought her a bed tent, baby puzzle mats under as flooring, heavy water and pellet bowl, built her a hidey house from cardboard and some toys to chew and play with. questions: 4. should i make her space a little smaller than an adult space should be for the meantime until she gets bigger? i heard that when litter training a bunny, space should be a little smaller, idk if i heard it right. wondering if i can already start litter training her at that young age? 5. is it safe for her to play with cardboard or should i give those toys once she gets a little older? she will be my first ever pet so i really want to give the best for her and make sure that i am doing everything right. 🥺 your response would be so appreciated! thank you in advance! 🤍

Hey girl I really need some advice. I brought my bunny Mason to a house rabbit society to get him bonded and then i brought him home. Ever since he came back with his new friend Morgan hes been very territorial, always chasing her and mounting her. I even heard him grunt at her once. While he was gone i scrubbed everything that belonged to him so his scent wasn't on it, so I'm a little confused of why hes still territorial or aggressive to Morgan. I have never bonded rabbits before so i don't know whether to let it happen or try to help. By the way Mason is a mini/holland lop and Morgan is an English Spot. Mason is a boy, and Morgan is a lady. They will sometimes groom eachother, but it is rare. I really want this bond to work out so any advice would be amazing. Thank you!

Chasing, humping, and grunting are all forms of communication! 100% normal in bonded bunnies! Especially for the first 6-12mo. As long as they aren’t getting into fights it’s just how they communicate. Also some bunnies only groom eachother when humans aren’t around. Sterling is like that. So was my precious rabbit mocha

Do you have anything for special needs bunnies? I have one with a splayed back leg and her front two feet are Pidgeon toed. She is happy and she likes to try new things but most stores only have things that she can do. Right now she is playing with a toilet paper roll. She likes a few of the toys that my children had when they were babies. The people that owned her were going to kill her and throw her away. Just because she in different doesn't mean she needs to die.
