Nice review! I needed a detailed software review because that's the most important part of a watch. Even if the watch's design looks good and features are good but only the software is laggy with bad fonts and optimization then it ruins the user experience of the watch. I want to select one watch between the Haylou RS4 and the Amazfit GTS 2 Mini (not caring about the price) but only the features, I like the software and animations way more on this watch.

Usually, Chinese smart watch companies do not update the UI of their old watches. They create new UI for new watches and the old watches keep the old UI. RS4 Plus is Haylou's latest watch so it has the latest UI.

Hello! Please make sure that you have enabled the notification option in the Haylou Fit app. If you have already enabled the notifications, then this could be a device related issue. You might have to disable battery optimizations for the app. I have tested the watch with WhatsApp and Messenger (Facebook) notifications and they work fine.

For look waise its awesome for those who have broad wrist..software is not bad actully missing some measure options like custom watch faces,mute call also not have a camera remote and major thing is boaring watch faces which never looking good on this watch

Yes, the hardware is great and the watch looks amazing. There are a few issues in software which I found quite annoying while using the watch. And the watch faces are just atrocious. Support for custom watch faces would make this watch much better.

Does it show the call notification? I have the Xiaomi mibro lite right now it show the call notification u can mute the call or end.

Yes, it does have an option for enabling call notifications but it only allows rejecting the call. You cannot mute or accept the call.

The watch tracks the steps itself. It tracks the steps, heart rate and sleep without the phone.

No, RS4 plus doesn't support third party watch faces. I sold my watch because of this reason.

Yes, the watch can receive updates. But it hasn't received any updates since I bought it.

I have a question, I've seen this watch have some analog watch face in which the second hand moves smoothly like the Apple Watch and the Galaxy Watch. Is it really available? I know it can be possible because this watch has a 60 Hz display Edit: I have another question: What is the maximum length of the characters in a single notification? Does it display the full message? If not how much does it display?

The watch only has few analogue watch faces. And only some of those look nice. But the hands move smoothly in almost all analogue watch faces. The watch has a limit on how many characters it can display in the notification. In my daily usage, I have never received a notification which exceeds the limit but I was able to reach the limit while testing the watch notifications. I'm not sure exactly how many characters the watch can display in one notification. I generated 5 paragraphs of Lorum Ipsum text and the watch displayed almost 2 paragraphs.

No, I don't think so. There isn't much custom software support for Haylou watches. So I don't think anyone would be working on porting the firmware.

The battery lasts quite a few days with moderate usage. You'll have to charge it after 7 to 10 days.

Can I ask about the water resistance of this watch? Does it really resist water? Last time I bought a watch it broke because of the rain.

I have tested it in water. I left it in water for a while and I also took several baths while wearing the watch. The watch is still working fine. Haylou is a reputable brand so I trust them to provide the waterproofing they have mentioned in the specs (IP68).

@@ceejay706 For aesthetics, I would definitely choose RS4 Plus as it is the most premium looking out of the 3 options but the software of this watch leaves much to be desired. For functionality and performance, I would choose mi band 7. I have used mi band 4 for several years and it worked great. I haven't tested Huawei band 7 but I did check a lot of reviews about it when I was trying to find a new watch/band to buy. In my opinion, this watch wasn't too great given the other options in this price range. All 3 of these watches come in different form factors and every person has their own choice so you can see which form factor and design you like. RS4+ has very premium look but the software isn't too good and it doesn't support custom watch faces either. Mi band 7 has good software and it will also support custom watch faces. Xiaomi has also announced Mi band 7 Pro. It seems to be a great watch. The hardware looks good and it has a lot of features. And since it belongs to the mi band series, it will definitely have good software. I don't know when it will be released globally but it will be priced a bit higher.

@@ceejay706 I wouldn't call it worthless. It had some bugs and some oversights which made the overall experience quite disappointing for me. I have mentioned all of the pros and cons of the watch in my other video. The cons I have mentioned in my review might not be as big a deal for some people.

How long is the battery life? Are the features accurate?

I have been using the watch a lot to test it for the review. Even with a lot of usage, the battery lasted 5 days. In normal usage, it will last 7 to 10 days. The step tracking and heart rate tracking are quite accurate. I didn't have a way of testing the accuracy of spO2.

I don't think it can be disabled. I haven't seen this option. You can enable the do not disturb mode but that disables almost all notifications.

Yes, watch faces are the most negative point in this watch. Hopefully the watch will get support for custom watch faces soon. Other than the watch faces, the raise to wake detection is also very annoying. The watch keeps turning on even when I don't raise my arm. It gets very distracting. I keep the raise to wake option off because of this.
