It has actually been converted by Allied Mobility (a company in the UK, I live in Belgium) into a car you can roll a wheelchairs in (my wife's in this case). Quite the improvement over our old Ford Fusion, in which we had to transfer her manually. Still, it doesn't feel like I'm driving a van at all.

Having a nightmare with using Android Auto with my system. Boots ups now problem when connected via USB cable, however it then kicks out the Android Auto features after a few seconds and back to the standard features

I'd try starting with an upgrade to the Sync system to ensure it's running the latest version. Make sure your phone operating system is up to date as well. If those first two don't work try a new USB cable and if none of those things work book in a service appointment!

If I wasn't given any radio options and nievely assumed sat nav would be part of the radio regardless considering the cost of a new transit. Can sat nav be added to the radio after or is it going to be big bucks and a new radio? Van is only 4 weeks old, feel like I been cheated.

It's unfortunate that it's not included but if you have the larger Sync3 screen like in this video you could hook up Android Auto/Apple Car Play. The whole screen has to be replaced and reprogrammed so it would be $1,200 or so through a dealer to get it done

I heard you can swap this out but only if your vehicle already has sync 3. I think my unit is the basic model that has a rectangle with a line in it where the sync button should be.

If you've got the base Sync screen you could get a Sync3 screen added in - it's a bit pricey but not impossible to do

Great video... I have a problem i cannot solve. Everything is turning on but radio is not working. Everything else is working. Parking Sensors started making a really weak beep sound but still work, then radio stopped and wont come back on. Sreen says audio off. Any idea's? Ive reset system and still the same.

Have you tried pressing the volume rocker button in? That's the only way you'd be able to toggle the audio system on or off

@@CarsWithSteve Hi. Yes I've tried that. Nothing happens at all. I had a look at the bass/treble settings and everything's gone to the right-hand side. Its Very strange

Few things you could try... Go to Settings --> Manage Apps. Click on Spotify and look for Autostart, there should be an option to "Allow the app to be started by other apps" If that doesn't work, I have a video showing how to enable developer mode and allowing unknown sources. It's for Waze specifically but it should also give Spotify as an option once it's set up kzbin.info/www/bejne/gWOzfqean8pmo5I

First thing to try would be an Apple or Android branded cable. If that doesn’t work then book it in for a service appt - there could be something up with a fuse or module

The screen in this vehicle only supports a wired connection for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay so you need to stay connected to use them

Once you hook the phone up again it should prompt you to allow CarPlay. If it doesn’t then disconnect your phone from the USB cable and on your phone go to Settings -> General -> CarPlay Then select your vehicle and press forget this car If that doesn’t work you can remove the phone from the Sync3 screen and then reconnect. It should prompt you from there

I have this radio in my van, I hate it. It's so stupid. I don't need to hear the nav instructions every single fing time! Doesn't understand me anyway, wish it had a favorites screen

Have you tried playing with the nav settings? You can toggle the audio off or have it for just a tone to come up instead...

@@CarsWithSteve tried to get android auto to work today with USB, don't even have settings or icon for it in the settings menue only apple carplay, might try connect the van to wifi and update if that is even a thing

@@MrFatboy192 The icon may not necessarily show in the tray if a phone hasn't been connected via Android Auto yet. Try switching to the other USB port - I found on the 2022 Ranger that Android Auto only worked on the right port for some reason

Connecting over bluetooth or CarPlay/Android Auto? If it's CarPlay/Android try replacing the USB cable if you haven't already. If it's bluetooth try a soft reboot by pressing and holding the volume power button and right seek button for 5-10 seconds until the screen turns off

Try changing the playback speed to 0.75x - you can find it in the little settings icon on the bottom right side of the screen. I find people who have trouble keeping up find that playback speed to be perfect
