A year ago I could not for the life of me understand Benu .. and now I already have three Benu pens I feel like I really really need in my life :D .. it is true what Drew says - if they do not catch your fancy yet, just sit back and wait a bit - they will eventually release a pen you cannot imagine your writing without :D

I purchased a Euphoria Vodka on Ice in support of Benu’s move to Armenian. As I prefer piston fillers, I was not expecting for the pen to be in daily rotation. However, the writing experience, particularly the nib and section soon placed this flashy gem into constant use. As a visual artist, I appreciate the smooth inking and comfortable grip and have used it almost exclusively in my drawing. Oh, and Benu definitely dazzles. My wife has a different model as her desk pen. Stunning and original, every collector needs to own one.

I first fell in love with the BENU Talisman Foxglove. I mean Halloween colors? Yes please! That was all she wrote. I now own 7 BENU pens: 1 Briolette, 4 Talismans, and 2 of the Euphoria (Hallowed Harvest and Macha Latte). The nibs are incredible and the feel and quality of the pen as a whole is amazing. It might be weird, but I love the facets and use them as sort of a grounding tool when I’m nervous or anxious. The tactical feeling of the smooth facets is…soothing to me. Anyway, great video as always Drew!

After watching the video on the Euphoria models, I am intrigued by the Earl Grey Tea. The brown resin combined with the gold and blue glitter, plus the embedded tea leaves is what makes me want to buy it. In fact, I’m going to order one for my upcoming birthday next month! - Initially, I didn’t care for the overall nature of sparkly pens that scream towards me, however, this specific colour scheme and design of the Euphoria is one to consider since I’m a fan of tea. - Well done to Benu! 👏

I need to preface my comments by saying this was a smashing review as always by Drew. I ordered my first Benu, Vodka on the Rocks, from Goulet just a month ago not because the aesthetics finally got through to me, but bc several respected reviewers on KZbin highly praised the nib and the writing bliss with a Euphoria. Those reviewers weren't wrong! I haven't ordered the Earl Grey Tea or the Matcha green because I feel someone missed a "golden opportunity" when they put a silver tone nib and clip on those pens. As I look at them they BEG for a gold tone nib and clip to complete the wonderful tones and glitter (of the Earl Grey) of those pens. I have never seen the gold tone listed for more money than the silver tone so that couldn't be the reason. Just my thoughts and I do recognize the color of the nib doesn't negate the joy of writing with a Benu pen. Write On!!

All Benu clips are silver-toned, so all their pens with clips have silver-toned nibs. You only see the gold-toned nibs on a few of the clipless models.

Hallowed Harvest was my gateway into Benu. As Drew said, "ehhhh they're nice but not for me..." thought they were too sparkly. And then I saw THAT pen so perfectly aligned with my goal of a "fall" pen :-) Then Earl Grey and Matcha found their way to me.

Most of their designs are "ok" for me; not must haves, but not ugly or terrible either. But Bourbon spoke to me, and as pretty as it looks in pictures it's even more amazing in person. And NOTHING gets more attention in a meeting then whipping out the Bourbon Euphoria to take notes. Bonus points if you load up the broad nib with your favorite shimmer ink, which it delivers very generously to the page. Yes, I have a bunch of more subtle, understated and "professional" pens and inks that get a lot of use at work. But sometimes you just need some fun in the day, and it never fails to get a "WHAT THE HECK IS THAT?!?!" from someone seeing it for the first time. Doesn't hurt that we're in the heart of bourbon country, as well. I've picked up a couple other Benu pens, and I definitely agree that when you find one that calls your name, it's definitely worth it. They're all solid writers and perform well right from the box.

One thing to keep in mind about getting Benu. If you've been into soft and/or bouncy nibs: you won't find such things with Benu's Schmidt nibs. They're fine, they write without any issues but it's just one of the most boring nibs I have tried - like nothing is going on, you have -0% bounciness, -0% softness, -0% feel of the paper. So.... If you have a nice enough spare JoWo size nib, feel free to get a funny cool looking pen!

To be honest, I find all of these Benu pens so profoundly ugly looking, it really sends shivers down my spine and makes me feel uncomfortable (no shit). But this is the magic of the hobby - there is no right or wrong. Just enjoyment of whatever pen you like.

I have to intervene. The Armenia map you showed is completely incorrect. The area you showed as "Western Armenia" is actually Turkish territory. I guess you have to check your facts twice. Interestingly, there are maps published on the web such as this one, yet it is no more than a dream of a number of Armenians whose dream surely will not come true.
