I got in and was intent on purchasing until I saw the piece difference-$430 vs $280. Sorry but an additional $150 just for the rooted hair isn’t worth it. I’ll be perfectly content with the sculpted version.

The sculpted hair version looks better to me so I ordered that.And to pay $150 more just for a small piece of hair that's gonna get messy over time.Must have more money than sense.

there's nothing like "limited" and "exclusive" to get collectors fired up and hyped up about buying something. I'm not sure what I'll do with Luke but I'll decide when I get him in hand.

Yeah for me when it's just about completionism or missing out, and being a collector becomes more about the generic act of collecting than what you're actually collecting/the thing itself, then for me it's sporta pointless.

I was not busy that time so I decided to wait it out (I was at queue 1500). But the thing is there is the normal version as an alternative unlike CMS015 (which I also had to get). So for this, I was in a mindset of "if i get one, awesome. If not, at least there is the normal version". I know this is just another Luke, but on its defense, it is unlikely that Hot Toys will release this version of him again. It is more probable that they will release the movie versions again rather than these book versions. So when I had a chance to get the limited version, then might as well get it. But if anyone wants to save $150, then the normal version is just as good to display in my opinion. Awesome channel by the way.

This will be my first figure with rooted hair so I don't know what to expect when it comes to getting the hair to look like it does in the photos and keeping it that way.

I'm curious how well it looks. Rooted hair, if done right, can make a head sculpt look waaay better. But all of mine were rooted by a professional. I have no idea how good it will look when being mass produced.

I didn't know there was hype for this haha. I think it's cool not a 100% yes for me. I feel this is for a very specific crowd. Hopefully we will get some armored royal guards from the extended universe.

Honestly I was 100% in to pay for the Anakin Artisan but failed... Luke looks great but it just doesn't look as good as Anakin's.

I expected something much bigger for May 4th!! I’m still debating if I’m going to get this one!!! I would buy the Artisan version because of price! Who knows how that hair would be as well. I’m more interested in Darth Maul 2.0 and Darth Revan who I know nothing about because I never played that game but he looks cool! Where was Doctor Aphra to pair you with torture droids? Where is Chewy 2.0 or 3.0? Where is Starkiller the cool version? Where is Jar Jar??😂

While i don't know much about Dark empire and don't have the need for this one, i love what this release means. We may get figures of Legends characters like Mara Jade, Kyle Katarn, Exar Kun, ...

Has Hot toys released any rooted hair figures before? Im little iffy with these. Over 150 dollars more for that seems little high when sculpted hair looks good enought and i dont know quality and how rooted will last in coming years

Sculpted version looks miles better than the artisan one. Artisan one looks way too doll-like.

It's a cool figure for sure but that's not my luke. Luke is the total poster child of being a good hero and I just don't care for seeing him like this. If he had sith eyes, totally would have bought it though because that would be insane
