The Light Destroyer is one of my favorite separatist ships in all of star wars

This was one of, if not the, most sensible star wars ship designs.

Completely agree. From a real world perspective, the Recusant has a much more realistic design than most ships. By the way, personally, its engines remind me of the stern of the Venture Star from Avatar

I genuinely don’t see why the CIS ships weren’t still used even after the CW ended. They are clearly capable of being used by organic people and they pack a serious punch. Even if the Empire didn’t want to take any chances with ships that weren’t theirs it’s still insane to think we never saw them again afterwards. Like seriously imagine a Private Military Company in the SW universe getting their hands on something like the Recusant class destroyer. That would be a dream come true.

The big turbolaser is the big one underneath the belly and has only 1 barrel. The largest turbolaser (I believe) on screen is the ship that captured Eeth Koth. I think I measured it at over 363 meters long from the forward pair of overload controls to the stern of the turret and it is over 50m wide. It is longer than Kenobis Arquitens that he brought on the rescue mission.

Thank you Nordy for making a video of such an underrated ship class of wasted potential If they applied this level of automated design and functionality in many other ships (especially in the Confederacy ships that had droids for crew) would have made many of the Star Wars ships more effective and capable In the future could you make a video of the Protodeka tank or heilfire tank? Or the vulture or tri-fighter?
