Bought the powematic 80 for my 20 year old son’s birthday and the Chronograph for my 22 year old son’s birthday. Great thing is that if they don’t wear them…I will.

Its almost like they tried as hard as they could to get that quartz seconds hand as perfectly centered between minute markers as possible.

Lmao that's what I thought too. It's like that on all models I saw at the local Tissot boutique. So I bought a powermatic one.(Maybe that was the plan 😈)

I'm really drawn to that chronograph even though I'm not really a chronograph fan. I think that speaks volumes. 👌
@christianboulay47222 жыл бұрын
Quite opposite for me this time, I always end up purchasing chronograph watches. But the glaring white subdials, piercing out of the velvety blue dial...is awkward. I'll probably buy the black dial.

Great video Bruce! Becoming a big fan of your channel! I also love that you don't sensor your comments or withhold them for approval. There's a semi big watch KZbinr that does that and it just turned me off. Ended up unsubscribing. Let the people speak freely! If they want to knock a watch because it's not their cup of tea, let them! And that's what I love about your channel. Ever since I've been watching your videos, youve never done silly stuff like that. Huge respect goes out to you.

I appreciate that a lot, thank you. To be honest though I have keywords set up that will pull vulgar comments. But its just to keep profanity out of the comments. Agree with me or disagree is all good, in fact encouraged. It just needs to be articulated in a civilized manner :)

I have the powermatic 80 version with a blue dial and it really is incredible for the price. Even at $1000 it would still be a good deal. Very hard to beat that watch.

That chrono is so nice I'd go as far as saying it looks as good as a daytona! If you gave me the option to choose one to wear I'd choose the prx chrono.

I just bought my PRX Powermatic 80 and just fell in love with it😍 My previous choice was the Quartz PRX, but after a few visit at the jeweller and try one on my wrist, I don’t see the appeal strong enough as the Powermatic 80. In my opinion, Plain sunburst dial on Quartz PRX looks good on photo, but not that good once I wear it on my wrist. I don’t know why, but that’s just me I guess🤷🏻♂️

visited nyc over July 4th . there, I checked the Tissot prx . it was very nice - at $ 650 , nice watch. went home found an AD and picked it up - the prx green waffle dial , and at a 20% discount. it is in the rotation - very nice watch. ~ JDS/CT

The Tissot PRX is without doubt the best bang for your buck watch on the market at the moment .Not one of the obvious go to brands but this one is a real head turner IMO.

I’ve never owned a Tissot but always wanted one to complement that pre luxury mid range of my collection. This is a really sharp refined piece and I’m usually not a fan of integrated bands. I usually like changing straps around but I don’t see any desire to do that with this. Now I’m just stuck choosing between the blue and the white chrono models. Great job showing off the details and light play. Thanks Bruce.

No mention or showing of the 35mm Quartz version? As someone with 6.5” wrists, I much prefer it over the oversized blocky-ness if the 40mm. The shape of the case on the 35mm makes it wear larger and the smaller bracket links mean that there is a more elegant shimmering effect on hand movements (think wrist rolls).
@BruceWilliams2 жыл бұрын
35mm is a great option for those that prefer a smaller wearing watch!

I hope they introduce different dial textures to the powermatic. The waffle pattern is nice, however, I would much prefer a cleaner and simple dial. Still a great looking watch and I'm sure many appreciate the design.

The quartz for me, especially when you rotate watches a nice looking grap and go watch. Also the version most authentic based on the original from the 70-ies.

PRX has reignited my interest in TIssot and watches in general. It is a really nice design. Shame about the missaligned quartz, which lets it down. I think the quartz version is the closest to the original and would be my choice. But the chrono is absolutely awesome! That will be megahit.

Once you decide that luxury brands with true in house movement are just not worth the insulting prices out there, hard to get excited by mid range watches- just not much difference between them and entry level watches these days. Solid watches out there w comparable movements around $500 for mechanical watches.
