My friend Mark started taking tumeric in 2003 after having a massive heart attack. He had 25 percent of his heart alive and was told he would have another as all the surgery was doing was prolonging his life a bit..... Heart surgery was done in a regular hospital he was then transported to the VA for further recovery after a week.... VA had him doing tests to see where he was at with the damaged dead 75 percent. 10 years later the tests X-ray other tests showed no signs of ever having massive heart attack or damage. Showed a healthy heart. He tried to explain it was the tumeric and they didn't want to know.

Of course not why would the medical establishment want to know about an inexpensive herb like turmeric that Mark proactively used which remarkably grew back new healthy heart muscle cells. Fantastic! It just proves how powerful turmeric truly is... 💪😎👍🙏

Years ago I thought I had a recurring bladder infection but it turned out it was the turmeric I was taking daily. From that time I have been sensitive to oxalates and got my system stirred up again eating many almonds. I now know to check what foods and supplements are high oxalate and only buy very high quality and test curcumin.

@@peterraymond1853I have an issue with oxalates too. I can't have any spices, including turmeric. Turmeric has 2184 mg of oxalates per 100g. That's EXTREMELY high level. Anyone with a compromised intestinal flora or wall barrier will have an issue, potentially serious, sooner or later if they keep taking spoonfuls of it every day. The safe level for people with issues is around 10-40mg a day max. On the other hand curcumin has only 7.6 mg of oxalates per 100g. If you take one or two capsules that's gonna be 0.03-0.06 mg - very low.

I've listened to several podcasts with Sally K. Norton who is recognized as an expert ( maybe THE expert) on oxalates. She does not recommend whole Turmeric powder, but she says the extracts... turmeric extract or curcumin extract.. are fine, as the extracts are low in oxalates.

Hi, Dr Osborne. I love your Chanel you have great content and information on so many fantastic topics, and I like your format and use of your multi window video screen, however I'm finding it very hard to follow along with your presentation because of the picture quality. I would like to suggest that you may want to upgrade your camara and maybe consider using a multiple camera so that you can be out of the shot when you are using your display to describe your lesson. I believe that you will increase your viewership with the increase in production quality Thank you very much for all the information that you are sharing with the public it's very needed information Shane Gowler

Great that you covered the Oxalate issue!🙏 I'm perhaps premature by saying this part way through this great presentation but in recent months I have been very wary of Oxalates , so in my state of frantic seemingly permanent chronic inflammation and scatty ignorance ; I suddenly ditched TURMERIC , GINGER , GARLIC , BLACK PEPPER!..... ..... Correct me if I'm wrong Doctor , but without checking I believe that I was correct to stop consuming these elements as foods , AND I don't have to go without their health benefits because in EXTRACT FORM these elements are many times more Anti Inflammatory AND have VERY LITTLE OXALATES. Also I started making Poultice's with Ginger Root , to put on my knees. It's funny how your videos have subtlety become so much more of the Health content I view😉 Thank you for what you do! I must look into your GF program 😉🙏😊👍

11:30 I saw a naturopathic oncologist before surgery to remove breast cancer tumor. Turmeric was one of the 1st supplements she had me take for anti metastatic benefits. Now I work in an Ayurvedic alternative health clinic and surprisingly turmeric is NOT the most commonly recommended herbal supplement. But when it is, they prefer whole raw turmeric powder not the curcumin extract. Good stuff especially if you get it in regularly (like South Asians who eat lots of curry all their life).

Hi doc.Greatly benefited from your videos. Plz tell me what supplement should I take to keep my lungs healthy as I have bronchectiasis
@wbdeme
@wbdeme 4 ай бұрын
If you meant bronchitis, one alternative supplement that you might consider taking to aid in the relief of chronic bronchitis is N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine (NAC). It is a precursor to the important antioxidant called glutathione. Try one capsule per day (500 mg).If you are on any prescribed medications, I advise consulting with your doctor before trying, but if you are otherwise healthy and not on medications for other medical conditions, there should not be any problems with trying NAC. All the best....

I'm taking "inflavinoid Intensive Care" right now by Metagenics. I don't take it often but sometimes the low pressure/weather gets to my hips. I take it rarely but, BOY, it really helps. I also take it with olive or avocado oil. I'm gluten free and 99 percent dairy free- Also, this type of supplement does not make my pee smell like the turmeric paste does.

Turmeric powder is NO good ! Raw turmeric maybe ok in moderate amounts. But the active ingredient is Curcumin represented by a range of curcuminoids - here high strength curcumin might be better esp when paired with boswelia & and ginger. Curcumin requires bile for assimilation. Hence if having curcumin in supp form, focus on improving bile flow. In general , its a good idea to have Turmeric, ginger & garlic in cooked recepies.
@geauxp

If the Gall Bladder is removed, does that mean that the person can't gain benefit from Curcumin... And why is actual turmeric just no good.
@sgtaneja
@sgtaneja 4 ай бұрын
@peterraymond1853 Gall bladder acts as a reservoir for conjugated bile acids. When removed, the viscosity & continuity of bile flow is impacted. Your liver can still produce bile though if it's healthy - with support of methylation, amino acids such as glycine & taurine, external bile agents like TUDCA or botanicals such as milk thistle. Food based Turmeric in the quantities we eat in food generally has a nominal amount of the active ingredient Curcumin which is the most therapeutic component. Hence for therapeutic applications you may want to supplement a high strength extracted Curcumin supp.

Try backing down on the gluten and dairy for a while see if it helps in a couple months without going to four turmeric per day. If you have to increase the dose of anything it means something is causing inflammation. Try the most common first…,gluten and dairy. Hard cheeses should be ok. Just my two cents.
