Not really, at least for pros! A 4-piece Yamaha Recording Custom kit plus a few cymbals and hardware can cost at least $7000.

Thing is if this gets more and more popular then more competition will arise and capitalism will do the rest. Frankly for most people that live in apartments this is the only choice and even if it's not 100% like real ones it's good enough to make music.
