In this episode of Engine of the Week, we’re talking about an all-aluminum 535 cu.in. Pontiac engine built by Bill Ceralli of Ceralli Competition Engines for a drag racing application. According to Ceralli, this brand-new build is naturally aspirated, features a single carburetor, an All Pontiac Indian Adventures block and some used All Pontiac Tiger cylinder heads.
Find out what else went into this 1,000+ HP engine. Engine of the Week is brought to you by:

I have an all aluminum Pontiac currently being built. All Pontiac Gen II block and KRE Warp 6 cylinder heads with CNC'd exhaust ports. Bryant Billet crank, Molnar power adder plus connecting rods (6.700") and custom CP pistons. And a pair of upgraded Bullseye S475 turbo's. Street build and will run E85 as fuel. Engine size will around 8L.

Cool stuff, I been running Pontiac since the late 70s 389, 400, 421., 428, 455, I learned early on these engines make great torque, do t really need a lot of rpm. Right now om running a ols school 1972 455HO, bored trw L2394 pistons comp cams bump stick 7f6 heads, scorpion roller rockers, torker 1 intake, 850 hp series carb and msd ignition. My dad bought this engine back in 73, it was in a T/A that was parted out to raise money for college. The engine was built by a place called Shepard in Rockingham NC. It sat in a little building till the early 90s when my dad put it into a 72 GMC pickup. Dad got sick in 96 and passed. I bought the engine from my mom for 500 bucks. All I have done is freshen it up and install the comp cam in place of the GK cam. Some of you older guys may remember General Kenetics. I currently have it in a 1975 Firebird with a M21 4 speed. It's still other than the cam and ignition just like it's been since late 72. Reckon I will keep her as is in memory of my dad. I hope to build an exotic Pontiac, maybe a DCI RA5. Nice video, cool to see the aftermarket so strong for Pontiac. 👍👍🏁🏁

1000+HP NA from 535 CID that's really something. I would love to see the dyno run and graph. It must be making HUGE torque.

@@jrdmotorsports9718 Yup, thats why I dont understand why people de-stroke a 400 SBC. If anything - there is a stroker crank to bring it to 427

Your typical Industrial Turbocharged Diesel is usually in the 16.5 to 1 range. If NA, then up to over 20 to 1.

Penngrade 1965 However, 1951 was the year that Duckhams really made a great surge forward. The decision was made that multigrade was the oil of the future; and so the product was launched that was to be used universally in all forms of transport and motorsport - the famous Duckhams Q20-50, with its distinctive green colour.

This motor makes great power for 535cid BUT at 15.5:1cr and limited water through the block means it will never see the street ok for a race only car ,which is still cool

Should have used CV1 heads. Would have made another 100 hp without the pushrod bending angles.

Misinformation. That without a doubt is completely 100% false. No CV head comes close to a Tiger head for Pontiacs, especially after Bill gets done with them. That head and intake is tough to beat. Not knocking the canted stuff, but is not even clear they make more or the same as an Edelbrock. A lot of theory, but no facts. If you don't know, it's fine. Just don't comment like ya do.

The guys who created the cv1 Pontiac heads, should have let Cirelli fix them, and we'd have one helluva head for Pontiacs now. Instead the guy who invented the original head bailed out. Too bad.
