A very short video featuring the sound of all the bells ringing at Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, France.
The visuals and the audio were recorded separately. The bells were recorded on the evening of Christmas Day as they rang to mark the start of evening Mass at 6:15 PM. The images were recorded on the afternoon of December 28, mainly just to accompany the bell recording.
The bell with the lowest tone is Emmanuel, the 13-ton bourdon bell in the south tower of the cathedral. The other bells are in the north tower (on the left in images seen here). The bell audio is part of a complete 9-minute recording, but I haven't uploaded the whole thing because the upload takes forever and I doubt that anyone would be interested in the whole thing.
I recorded the bells with relatively fancy audio equipment, which is why they sound a bit fuller than most recordings you hear on KZbin (more low tones, for example). This is how they actually sound, insofar as KZbin is able to reproduce. The audio recording was made about 100 feet southwest of the south tower, where the large bell is (the other bells are in the north tower, which is on the left in these images).
