Cross restored to roof of Notre Dame cathedral over 5 years after fire

More than five years after Paris' iconic Notre Dame cathedral was heavily damaged in a devastating fire, restorations reached a new milestone when a large cross was reinstalled to the cathedral's roof this week. Elaine Cobbe visited an ironworks in Normandy that repaired the cross.

@hibbo1351 Inspiring that people now adays cared enough to put in the work and effort to restore it while also appearing to be moved themselves by doing so. Human beings benefit Spiritually and psychologically from having inspiring reminders of the beauty of their Faith. These works of art that glorify God through the testament of human craft and ingenuity are for the benefit of all mankind to be able to experience. Yeah though, so true. The Church should definitely sell off every beautiful human treasure to Christian Civilization to non-Christians to be used as they please. Quite frankly, you should also stop being so selfish and sell everything you have and live in a mud hut. I'm sure it would somehow be super beneficial to more poor people in the long term, despite you only being able to help some of them initially, only just after selling off everything all at once. Followed by you becoming a burden afterward. I can tell you really are a genius prot, no doubt!

Delighted to see this beloved world heritage treasure being restored! Like millions of others I hold my first visit to the Cathedral of Notre Dame in the early 80’s as a life changing experience. I was moved and inspired by its grandeur and spiritually. ❤

Contrary to what you might think, France is still a very white country. 87% of the population is ethnic French alone and about 6% of the remaining white population is made up of other nationalities. Altogether, POC only make up about 7% of Frances population. For Islam, they barely account for 5% of the total population in terms of religion.
