On Ember Twin I remember seeing a lot of fish fossils at the base of the lakebed, which makes sense if it was a lakebed. As for Ash Twin, I thought the relocated plants were the spiky things which clogged up the caves of Ember Twin after being replanted.

Ill give you a pass on this one! They just added the fossils in the most recent update of outer wilds! I probably wouldnt of known about them if I didnt read the update they posted when they updated the game! It said "added fossils to the caves in ember" and it still took me a while to find them!

A random thought, is it possible that anglerfish originated from giants deep? Giant deep does has really deep and dark oceans, and tornadoes might be the reason why they are able to survive in space and can be found in amber twin and dark bramble. Since you said the jellyfish in giants deep were originated from the planet dark bramble destroyed they ‘re a invasive species to the giants deep, could it be that the anglerfish in giants deep died out due to invasions of jellyfish so only those anglerfish who got launched out the giant deep and landed on some other planets survived?
