Thoughts: 1. I know your channel has a visual focus but you consistently write great copy! Don’t know if anyone’s told you that 2. Even though this video is all about black, there’s great inspiration for all kinds of monochromatic dressing. Thanks! 3. Totally unrelated but when I saw you steaming that sweater, I immediately said “THAT’S the video I need!” I need help on how to get the wrinkles out of my sweaters that have been stored for months. I’ve never had good luck with a steamer. Something to think about….

@ Both! I had a huge stand steamer that I could never get to remove any wrinkles. Now I just have a heavy duty steam iron for pressing clothes. I’d love some tips on working with knits especially.

I use a travel steamer and I use it to steam my sweaters, I move it very slowly along the wrinkles! I hope this helps! 🤔👍

Totally agree Black is timeless a classic color. I moved from NYC to South Carolina shore still rocking my black but more with white and shades of gray and cream .this is what A/C is made for. Loving the music score today .

For me black clothing means "safety," BUT I don't mean that as in "a safe choice." I mean that when I put on a black long-line wool coat, or a black blazer and black jeans with black lace up boots, I am "impermeable." Nothing can get to me when I wear black and my normally super sensitive self is assured enough to walk among them 😊. The color creates for me a safe zone, a place inside which I can be my truly colorful self. Thank you, Emily, for creating this community where we can ALL be safe to be ourselves. I often hear people say (even some stylists), that women after a certain age shouldn't wear black around their face. For me, at 65, when all else fails, a black turtleneck, jeans, boots, some sort of hoop (my earring of choice), watch. With my brown skin and white close cut natural hair: My favorite outfit, and when I get noticed and complimented the most.
