I am a Captonian myself and it disgusts me the way people from a country can support a rival nation, especially from my province. You really think a person from nz would dare to support the Boks? I love the Haka but I feel it’s become too commercialized. It’s trademarked now?? How can something that supposed to be a cultural heritage be trademarked? Has NZR commercialized the Haka? Have they turned it into a performance dance rather than the war cry it’s meant to be? I say this as I saw a video from 1997 where the Haka was 20 seconds long and now it’s 1 minute 20 seconds long. I’m asking as a South African do New Zealanders prefer this “new Commercialized “ Haka or the old one? What does the true Māori say? I’d like to know.
