I honestly am debating between Shinsou and Ao Iconoclast. Both bring a melody that you could hear over and over agajn, even if you don't understand the lyrics. Kinda like as an introduction to a new world you've never seen before - the world of BlazBlue. Ao Iconoclast kinda focused on the darker, more tragedy side of Blazblue while Shinsou spoke a total contrast to it.

Just the date I was wrong by a year it came out November of 2008 in Japanese Arcades and in North America in 2009 Continuum Shift's first Arcade version also came out the end of 2009 pretty much a year after Calamity triggers Arcade. seems to come out with a updated version yearly and a new game every 2-3 years (an excuse to do internet research lol)

Little rant here: Now call me crazy here, but I'm sorry the anime was utter shit compared to the games. It left out A LOT and first timers that try and watch it first over playing the actual games are going to be confused as hell. It doesn't explain things well and even CHANGES things from the original source material (aka the games). Not to mention the animation isn't really that great, if you take the time to pause or review some scenes it's just not that great. Now I'm not sure if it was some weird censorship, but when Makoto is fighting Hazama (or gets captured really) her blood appears and disappears in several shots. It's not consistent at all. 12 Eps were simply not enough, it really should have been like 20 at the bare minimum. The best thing about it was the music (as always, which isn't really a plus tbh, Arc System Works always does great with that) and the 2 special episodes. The one were everyone is at the hot springs was rather funny, and the more romantic one between Ragna and Lambda was good as well (I call them special because they aren't canon to the games). I really just overall didn't enjoy most of it, the fights are TOO short. Moving on though, it really pains me to see that the 3rd game and anime share the same art style as BB:CSE still has the best opening in terms of art style to me. It's unique and it pops out very well. The current style is slightly (keyword) generic and just doesn't mesh well with the series in my opinion. But hey all of this was indeed my opinion, just posting to do so and hear others thoughts.

Welp, having played Castlevania, I'll bet on Belmont. No offense, but Rachel does seem weak enough not to be able to fight by herself (therefore she uses minions) meanwhile Dracula... pretty much beat Satan himself twice.

Luca Deymos if we were talking Calamity Trigger Rachel when she was still an observer she'd beat Dracula with ease. However the recurring theme with Rachel is that she is so (lowkey) kind hearted she keeps pushing herself and forfeiting her powers to the point that by the end of the story she is rather weak.

Rachel can fly though, she flew up to the sky without her minions to active the Tsukiyomi unit and protect Kagutsuchi from Takemikazuchi. The match would differ greatly on which Rachel Alucard version you'd match against Dracula seeing as how she drastically deteriorates in power for interfering in the worlds event and risking her existence on the verge of disappearing. I'd say both would tie at their top form. Both are immortal while being adept at magic and has superb mastery over teleportation. They'd most probably tie in battle. imo.

Blazblue is a fighting franchise, the only anime is "Alter Memory" which the last openings was from. Each game tends to have at least 2 openings 1 for the Japanese arcade version and one for the home console version...so far there are 3 major instalments but the reason why continuum shift had what? 4 openings is because continuum shift 2 had some huge balance changes (I think arcade got value hype and trinity around that time too) and while the consoles got it as a patch/update I guess with the release of relics clover, it warranted a second home console game, continuum shift extend. Chrono phantasma will be getting an extend this spring/summer with at least 2 more characters and some more story, though that's all we know about it atm

Tbh...even though blazblue is awesome...the openings kind of suck..the only ones I like are cs and cp arcade openings... On top of that I find that the singing kinda ruins the instrumental part of the songs.... 3:20 starts grand and then... ten seconds later total disappointment... If the gentle tune was build upon and kept, that might have been a great opening, but it turned into a grindhouse of "edgy" guitar solos that are pain to listen to. I guess writing all those unique themes for GG and BB really exhausted the composer. Just contemplating. Thx for upload though.
