No, not really, you can look though Punisher comics throughout the 80s, 90s and the 2000s and nothing was ever shown or implied that he really did. He didn't have a problem with Cap, but it wasn't on this level. The Civil War comics and others made that up on the spot.
@beywheelzhater893022 күн бұрын
@@404ServerError I think it was a good choice personally. Given Frank’s soldier background and the fact he is aware that he is not a good person, respecting someone like Cap makes a lot of sense for the themes of the character BECAUSE Steve is a solider who’s beliefs go so heavily against The Punisher’s own views Now admittedly Frank’s general writing, like a lot of the civil war stuff, was not written all too well in my book. The Punisher is a homicidal maniac who hunts down other homocidial maniacs, but he’s also clever enough to not just open fire on some villains in a room full of heroes without prompting. I also feel as though the line tipped a bit too far from respect into idolization at times

I think it is less of hate and more of being there to serve as an automatic soft call out. None of these refer to Black Widow herself, none even try talking about anything relevant to her, and yet they all have voice lines for killing her. The reason? Cap never wanted to kill anyone. He just wanted to keep people safe. He has always wielded his power with reluctance, because he's known what it was to be powerless. He's known the desperation the weak are pushed to. He sees Frank as someone who revels in violence, if exerting power over others, who enjoys it. Essentially another bully, one who's known power all his life and taken what he wanted by force. All the good he does is incidental. That his victims are more deserving does not change that. Of course, Cap and Punisher are just mirrors of one another. One fought a war for justice and became a hero-the other was used up and spit out into a broken society. They're both shaped by the times they lived in.

You can't win wars by not killing the enemy and I hate to tell you people, but most Marvel characters have put many innocent people in danger for decades. To the point where they have allowed the villains to join them without even a slap on the wrist. Using the TV series is not an example or an argument to use, which was very inaccurate to the character. And guess what people, the people at Marvel don't like him and several other characters, so they're going to make them look bad, which has been going on now for years.
