Well by popular demand... I've had a lot of request to post this again, but just with the cover footage so here it is :) Don't think there's such a thing as "too much" castlevania though right ?

If anyone's wondering, BG Ollie was showing gameplay footage from Castlevania on the MSX which is why the screen switched rather than scrolled to one side and the other, why there were keys used to enter doors, why the Dungeon was yellow rather than blue, why there was a laboratory filled with vials of chemicals and why there was no time limit. You can see the footage of the game when he starts to play "Heart of Fire"

Ollie, I will confess my sins here and now: I once looked down on the Banjo as a lower instrument of backwater culture. Thank you for showing me the light!

So epic,Thank you! Please do Simon's Quest music too whenver you get the chance. It has an incredible soundtrack. And for the record I love the game. It gets such a bad rap even though its the first Castlevania to truly earn the metroidvania sub-genre moniker long before Symphony of the Night. Open world exploration, leveling, backtracking, weapon upgrades. Was never more cryptic than the early Zelda games were yet it got all the criticism for being hard to navigate without hints.

I'm really impressed, not necessarily because he plays well, but because he understands the music. He doesn't skip notes, and he puts the correct emphasis on bass and percussions. I hear a lot of covers that just completely miss the mark, like sephiroth's one wing angel in orchestra, yuck. If they're not rushing the tempo or over emphasising the wrong instruments, they are flat out improvising the material at times and it's really noticable. I don't hear that in this music, it's accurate and I like it.
@calebchild44673 жыл бұрын
I like the part where you play the Castlevania music. Basically just that section between 0:00 and 15:33.
