Lord Bath has handed control of the £190 million estate to his son, Ceawlin, but the handover isn't going smoothly. Ceawlin upset his father when he moved back in, and the pair are no longer on speaking terms. In the village on the estate, there's further unrest after Ceawlin puts up the villagers' rents.
Meanwhile, Ceawlin's wife Emma is settling into life as Lady Weymouth. She now has her own servants and the run of the 130-room historic house - but she must get used to sharing her home with a daily stream of visitors.
In the safari park, the animal keepers watch the family from afar and wonder how Ceawlin will compare to his father. Lord Bath was a flamboyant, controversial figure. Although now in retirement, he continues to enjoy a famously open marriage. Various 'wifelets' still visit when his wife is away.
A revealing new series that goes behind the scenes at one of Britains most extraordinary aristocratic estates.

Cheers to Ceawlin! It's a very integral part of life and family to stand up for not promoting promiscuity especially within your own home. A fad of the past in so many ways, since promiscuity in today's world is dangerous and generally unhealthy as a lifestyle. Depressingly, the sad truth is that when one person is intent on forcing their personal beliefs about sexuality on others there is an underlying non-acceptance within their own selves. Each can choose what is correct for self, but when there is a need to force others to accept, or to push tendencies or desires on others, it is not self-acceptance. That's controlling and also a form of codependency, needing others to directly become exposed to one's personal tendencies. This is a scary view for a child to have of his Father. It takes character of a confident man to protect himself and others from such poor parental persuasion. I suppose it has made Ceawlin strong and more sure overall of his own persuasion for his family life. That would be a tiny silver lining to some real crazy influence it could appear he has endured as an innocent child and maturing adult from all these adults a party to this in his lifetime,. including his own parents.

How racist! There are loads more women with cooking shows in America. Why would you think a biracial American would choose a biracial British woman? By the way Meghan Markle was cooking years ago. Markle’s now defunct online lifestyle blog, THE TIG, GAVE A VIEW INTO HER LIFE AS A SINGLE VERY SUCCESSFUL CAREER WOMAN. SHE FEATURE CHEFS AND HER COOKING WITH THEM. SHE ALSO MADE NUMEROUS APPEARANCES ON THE THEN TOP morning Show on NBC’s cooking cooking spots. She was excellent. Most don’t know that a major publisher had contacted MM to consider a lifestyle magazine. MM had 1.5 million horse on Twitter and 1 million followers on Instagram and growing. However, once she started to date, Harry, she had to close down all of her social media.. not sure that Emma has done any of those things in her past.

Well yes relationships with the village are going to be awkward if you raise the prices and the people can't afford to stay in their cottages because you also employ them and pay them too little to afford it. It just sounds like some really bad communication within the management.

Haven’t these families always abused “share croppers” as they’re called in the USA? Not sure what they’re called in Britain. They’re always raising the rents on the poor farmers that work hard in the fields but don’t reap the financial benefits like the owners! In addition, these “charities” by the elites are for financial gain for themselves because the charities only get 5% of the money 💰 raised and 95% goes the the ones running such charities! I was shocked recently when I learned of this! These people don’t ever really roll up their sleeves to do any of the grunt work! Disgusting if you ask me!
@Iflie
@Iflie 3 жыл бұрын
@@lilyrose7082 Yes they have always been the landlords but it gets more complicated in modern times when they have to work to make enough money to keep up these grande family houses. They have to market and do tours, it takes millions. Then the cottages end up being worth far more than the rent they offer. And so some financial manager goes after that lost revenue.
@lilyrose7082
@lilyrose7082 3 жыл бұрын
@@Iflie I understand all that but, if the cottages are worth more money than the rent that’s owed, who would you rent to at the higher prices? And who would buy them? Wouldn’t the tenant farmers produce a steady income to keep that old house going rather than selling them off for higher prices with no future revenue afforded Ceuwlin and his family? I understand it takes a lot of money to keep up the estate but they get a lot from ticket buying visitors too. If I were them, I’d make more apartments in the parts of the castle not used and sell them off to wealthy people? They probably would never run into them in the future because they’d come in different entrances than the actual family. Idk how it works in the UK but I suspect that they could sell apartments for exorbitant prices and also charge them for the upkeep of the grounds like they do here in America. It’s called HOA or homeowners association fees paid monthly in gated communities, such as large estates with private homes on them. You use that monthly money 💰 for landscaping, water, energy bills and the like. I think that’d be a great and steady income year round! They’d also of course, have to pass background checks! That said, if you can afford millions of dollars for a private apartment or condo, I suspect they’d be respectable people in that price range.
@Iflie
@Iflie 3 жыл бұрын
@@lilyrose7082 No, HOA's and gated communities are not a thing in the U.K. Splitting up the house would be something a developer would do, turn it all into apartments not a family who has lived there many generations, every room is historic and has art that needs to be preserved. The cottages might get rented to high earners depending on where it's located, They may turn into expensive weekend houses for the rich. But the people who work at the house and grounds still need a place nearby to live, they are no longer farmers. And farming doesn't make that much profit anyway.

To pay to drive up to someone else's opulence and pay to see it is disgraceful to one's sensibilities. The Lord of this estate and his 73 wife-lets are disgusting. He is exactly the right man for the job, he cares deeply for the house and for the belongings inside it, and will see that no harm comes to any part of it.
