Chaos undivided's benefit is versatility. It applies to both shooting and fight phase, and applies if you choose either sustained or lethal hits, whereas the mono god buffs only trigger in the specific phase with the specific choice.

Is it just me or does it feel like the Tzeentch and Nurgle abilities should be switched, as Tzeentch’s warpfire should get more hits with sustained hits and Nurgle’s rot should rot through toughness thus getting lethal hits?

Just an FYI, many of the units that are shared with the mono-god legions have different abilities when in said legions, so you probably won't want to skip over those.

I had already just bought 2 boxes of terminators, but this index made me pick up a Forgefiend. Holy crap they're juicy. Thank god my birthday is next month, I need Abbadaddy. Gives all marks to his terminator squad, big juice. Edit: Chaos Undivided is actually pretty solid on a bunch of units, happy they made it an option.

some funny things you missed by not looking at the specifics on how units take weapons (I don't blame you it would have taken forever): A Chaos Lord in Termi armor has no way to gain a power fist, and 2 chosen in a small unit or 4 in a max size unit can carry both boltguns and combi-weapons and keep their melee weapon. The first is obviously going to be fixed, but the second seems like it could be intended, but its far more likely its not. Upon further reading, this is the only way the chosen can get their combi-weapons, and is most certainly not intended, "replace their bolt-pistol" will almost certainly be changed to read "replace their boltgun" instead.

On oblits and the indirect fire ability, its once per battle, they go to hitting on a 4+, and because all their weapons have ap even targets with a 3+ save will gain the benefit of cover and they have no way to gain ignores cover. I'm split on which mark to give them, but no matter what mark I think the reroll strat is always worth it on them when you are using their indirect fire to help make up for the loss in BS

Hellfire rounds for 1 CP (Anti-infantry 2+, Anti-monster 5+) combined with the THRONGS of dev weapons available (Sternguard for example) and a captain to let you use it again seems like a LOT of MWs alpha strike. one thing i think needs to be clarrified, do the name characters with keywords gain the keyword buff for example undivided gives reroll 1s when you dark pact, does abaddon who has the undivided keyword gain reroll 1s when he dark pacts because if so.......abaddon is SCARY literally no amtter what he chooses his unit gets reroll 1s AND critical 5s put his squad next to a hellbrute and they are rerolling 1s to hit AND gaining sustained AND lethal hits on 5s AND 6s, EVERY time they shoot or fight if name characters do NOT gain their respective keyword buffs, then its jsut kind of sad bricky, its worth noting fabius biles rule states "when an attack is allocated to a model in this UNIT" it does not need to be allocated to bile or his accolyte, that rule still takes into effect when the attack is targeting his bodyguard as they are part of his unit

when undivided you still get the sustained or lethal 6s brickey if you are claiming the slaanehs is "+2 to hit" undivided is "+1 to hit AND reroll 1s to hit" (for both shooting and melee) mathing it out, 36 attacks with sustained hits slaanesh ends up with 36 hits (effectivly hitting on 1s), while with sustained hits undivided (so reroll 1s) you get 35 hits (hitting on 2s, rerolling the misses), actually BARELY worse, and remember, the undivided gets that to shooting AND fighting, AND still gets its buff if you choose the "wrong" keyword while the god specific buffs do not undivided keyword is actually better then the god specific UNLESS you are doing the specific thing for the dark god keyword a slaanesh legionair for example, will have worse melee when using lethal hits then an undivided legionair, and will have worse shooting with both and reroll 1s is only slightly worse then sustained 5s (which is identical to lethal 5s if you are wounding on 4s, better if you are wounding on 3s or 5s with wound rerolls) if the unit has sustained hits or lethal hits from somewhere else (for example already built in on a weapon) then the god specific ones become much better because you double dip on the critical 5s, but otherwise undivided is VERY close basically the way it works is undivided is for "generalist" profile, if a unit will be going against low toughness and high toughness, or will be shooting AND fighting, undivided is STRICTLY better if a unit will ONLY be going against a specific toughness (for example obliterators can always make their shooting S higher or equal to the target) then the god specific sustained becomes better, if your always going to be BELOW the targets toughness then the god specific lethal becomes better and if you ahev rerolls to wound sustained is just better then lethal basically legionairs should always be slaanesh for melee, undivided or tzeentch are both good for shooting, things like oblits should probably always be nurgle chosen want slaanesh, but if you kit them out with guns they want undivided, venomcrawlers LOVE undivided, while cultists want khorne for melee or tzeentch for shooting because their strength will ALWAYS be below their targets toughness undivided is generally stronger, unless you have a specific goal for a unit, give it undivded, and if you have a specific goal for a unit (for example, deep strike in oblits and gun shit down but dont charge them) then start to look at the others the undivided stratagem is also by faaaar the best another situation for when a god specific keyword becomes a LOT better then undivided, is if you have one of the abilities that always gives you BOTH lethal and sustained when you dark pact, because then you get both sustained and lethal on 5s and 6s instead of just 6s and rerolling 1s

10man unit of terminators lead by a terminator lord. Inbuilt reroll 1’s to hit. Lord gives a benefit of costing 0cp for a reuse of strat. Zteech marked on both allow for unit to have zteech relic allowing them to resurrect and heal and deal leathal hits in shooting. From dark pacts. Big problems to deal with later turns

I feel like all ability keywords that have a quantity linked to them (like Sustained Hits X) are cumulative, you basically add the Xs if you get several occurrences of them. Might be wrong, but it sounds reasonable? Other abilities that do NOT have an X value to them are obviously redundant.

In order to play Deathwatch correctly, you must acquire a degree in Nuclear Physics and/or basic knowledge in the Theory of Relativity. From there, you must become intimate with each wargear option, studying and learning their every crease and emotional scar. Repeat with each Kill Team member. Lucius doesn't come back specifically from the fail mortals, just if the mortals from that ability kill the model. Remember, passing is still D3 mortals.

Daemon Prince no wings benefit of cover is useless as cover is easy to get and cant decrease ap for a better than 3+ save so its good for units with it if not in cover and hit by ap -1 or above

I'm a lore/concept player, competitive and power gaming is not my thing. I feel like the "disco lord" was entirely over represented in the game. I'm glad the Lords and Champion are more usable now and I'm glad Undivided has a place. The loss of Forgeworld is still painful, but we will carry on.

Y'know bricky, i'm not actually sure that lucius's resurrection ability only applies if the enemy fails their leadership test. The text sounds to me like it's saying "if it succeeds it takes d3, if it fails d6" and that's that for the leadership, and then the "if the model is destroyed" effect is tacked on later. Imagine killing lucius with a guy who only has one wound and having it resurrect him 100% of the times. It may be one of those "gw didn't proofread" things like -1 damage not explicitly having the minimum threshold of 1.
