I think that Jhonny would know that if Panam gets to know its V decision, then she wouldnt remember V the same, even more if -depending on your ending- sacrifices were made in order for V to reach makoshi. So therefore Jhonny would act like if he took over V violently. Thats a wild guess tho

Cuz, I romanced her and did the aldecaldos ending and picked Johnny (for the trophy, ofc I simped for her and chose to stay with her originally lol) and she didn't appear in the credits. @@LucarioLuke in the aldecaldos ending she appears but it is (sadly) a irrelevant voicemail... she just says she got lost in a sandstorm and she wont come back today ... thats it.... when i played this ending (it was my first) i expected her to say something, like she is super glad v is with her n stuff but she didnt... thats why i dont like aldecaldo for me personally (its good ending for v, no doubt. at least kind of hh) but it didnt make me say WOOOW and cry like the suicide one did

That's why I wanted to know if she only appears in the credits, if you play the Johnny and Rogue ending and then choose to give Johnny the body. And concerning the ending you meant, I get it yea. But I kinda liked it. For me, it shows that Panam and V are really living together now and are used to eatch other hens why she doesn't say anything super special. Kinda liked that tbh. @@sonitrok2499 to be fair, it's not like there's much to go on to hold that impression, ain't like Johnny's antics in V's body could leave that notion and most of Johnny's development happened while only V could hear and talk to him. Sum that with how he was BEFORE he died... and Rogue has every reason to believe it is yet another example of Johnny dragging others down with him, except this time its worse because he took another person's whole life (who Rogue probably cared for in some way or another). Johnny is probably aware of that, and his somber look and declaration might be testament to his will to change and be better, not just for him, but also to honor V's sacrifice. Ain't a way for Rogue to find out though, and that's probably for the best (he figures), since she's probably right and he needs to leave his toxicity buried and those he hurt alone and in peace. Whatever future is there will be found elsewhere.

The funny thing is, that in the other ending with Johnny taking down Arasaka with her, I think she realized that he was a changed man. Just before she dies. Whereas in this one she has no context for why they did any of it or Johnny's motive. Either she lives and hates him, or she dies and he's left with one more regret.

This is possibly the saddest ending. You leave everyone; I think this ending sequence is one of the best things put into a game, it really reminds you of how many people you’ve affected and friends you’ve made, and to see them especially Panam and Rogue, react to this, is gut wrenching. I’m incredibly surprised to see Rogue actually resent Johnny, I almost expected her to be content with it.

Don't get how Dunkey thinks this is the most satisfying ending. Edit: Still like the Johnny ending, if you’re female V Judy might know what’s up and I rather her break up with Johnny then believe her friend is still alive, so with a female V, the Johnny ending is a bit better. So don’t get mad. Further Edit: I take back everything I said from this comment. Temperance is a fucking amazing ending, bittersweet, sure, but the end at the columbarium just bumped the Johnny ending up to second. I love this ending and I completely understand why Dunkey thinks it's satisfying.

@@naburakty This is Cyberpunk, you very easily could come up with a technical soloution, like a cyber brain and/ or body even a way to reprogram the brain etc. They also copped out with Alt's explanations on why she could no longer help V, his nueral pathways being "too damaged" and could not be repaired. This sounds like bs to me, considering Johnny is just fine after he takes our body. Her plan of removing then reinserting V's persona should have worked, it makes no sense why it doesn't. The only reason V is dying, is due to the chip slowly reformatting his brain into a vessel for Johnny. If Johnny is therefore removed and the chip reprogrammed into thinking V is the correct host, the chip should no longer be be killing V, but actually fixing the nueral pathways previously damaged by Johnny. In other words the nanites should be healing him instead of the opposite, that is if Alt truly did what she said she would and didn't lie to us. The game instead could have tackled the conundrum of If V was truly the same person, is what he feels real, is he an inferior copy, is he just a program ?

There is a mission with Paralez which is the mayor candidate for the city being mind controled by some mysterious organisation. He might be puppet master controlling everything in the city. There is also a mission you do for him in the secret ending right at the end, V gets in touch with him for a favour to cure the dying state in which Mr blue eyes is capable off.

The part that hurts is knowing that Johnny taking over with V's blessing is, on a personal level, the most satisfying ending. But not one other character understands the choice, so you come out questioning the decision. Yet if you pick an ending where V keeps control and Johnny goes away, it's hollow. Your friends are happy, but you're still going to die. And without Johnny there to take over, V is gone for good. There's no miracle ending.

Even so it's not the best always. It depends on what your V would do. Would he rather give up his remaining 6 months to give a good friend a new life or if he would decide to just spend those last 6 months himself.

The ending where V is a legend simply has her state the world will hear about him. With Night City legends are only remembered by how you die. So doesn't sound like a long life and I personally wouldn't say good either as he is avoiding all his friends. Now the Aldecados is a bit happier, but she never states a long life. Just a good one. Tbh this is how I see each ending. Suicide is the worst. You completely give up entirely. Arasaka is bad as it shows V desperately try to live and sells his soul essentially. Legend is sad as V wants to live and is dedicated all he can to find a way. Seemingly never being able to. Now the only 2 good endings to me are Aldecados and Johnny's. In the Aldecados V is accepting of his fate. He's gonna make the most out of it by being with friends and family. Now not saying he's giving up entirely, but he seems less desperate unlike the rest. Johnny's is V accepting his fate, but also wanting to just give a second chance to a friend of his. Now in some ways it is V giving up, but for a good cause.

Yup, glad I went with nomad ending. Most hopeful of all endings and pretty action packed too with the hijacking of the drill sequence with the nomads. Then Judy is happily traveling America. Rogue alive and well. Pretty much everyone's doing well and V gets to spend his last moments with Panam. Also ends with the hope of a cure, but even without that it's fantastic end for V. Arasaka zeroed most of all and Johnny is with AI Alt which is more fitting. Edit: the most important part for me would be Judy being happy and finally free from night city. (this happens if you don't romance. There's something really satisfying about judy sending pictures of her travels as you play the game. she goes to Oregon, visits Seattle. Then her message at the ending is about how happy and free she feels) Also Rogue lives, that's how it should be.

Also did "Pyramid song" mission maintaining the friendly path and slept the night at that cabin by the dam. The next morning she told me she will leave night city. after that i started getting her messages. Hope that helps :)

@@SIl3nZz (SPOILERS FOR WITCHER 3 Beware reader!) I agree, all the endings are quite melancholic but nomad path is the least depressing one. I was expecting an ending like Witcher 3 myself, with Geralt just chilling at his vineyard with the occasional visit from friends and family but I had such a great time with cyberpunk that I'm okay with a little bit of ache in my heart haha. As for the story moving onwards. a couple of the endings seem to lead to V getting a contact that could actually help, like the one where he goes to the crystal palace. It would be interesting if your time with the nomads actually lead to that same job being set up and the reward from it is the cure. Other than that I've got no clue where this will go.

I found out something different between Panam’s reaction between two different path. If you call Panam and later at the end let Johnny take the body, her reaction is prominent. But when I did the “Don’t Fear The Reaper” as V but later give body away to Johnny, her reaction was mild and ended with “Don’t be a stranger”, which is a kind of ending where you are friends with Panam. In my case, she was the lover. My guess in this case, Panam thought this was a silent breakup since she had to go with her family and V never called her back. Maybe she doesn’t know Johnny has taken over the body.

personally i like this ending the most. V has already died to Dex, anything after is a bonus, and he got to take revenge for himself and Jackie and everyone else, even Johnny. V giving up his life for Johnny just seems like the ultimate character development, from doing anything to survive to giving up the life you fought for so your friend can live. And Johnny, having met someone who matter to him, tried his damn hardest but still couldn't save V's life, and leaving everything in NC behind. he's grown lots too.

Honestly I love how the ripperdocs are portrayed in Cyberpunk. Their title and their job are both grotesque. They tear the human parts out of you and put steel in the void. And yet they seem to show some of the strongest humanity out of characters we meet. We find a lot of good people in Cyberpunk. People who will kill or die to help you but the ripperdocs always seem to care. Even the doc from edgerunners did do things out of kindness to david. even if he acted greedy and uncaring, he gave honest and good advice to try and keep David alive and well. Maybe it has something to do with how their job is to tear apart bodies, anything physical in a relationship means nothing to them. They know full well how much of a person can be traded for machinery so they care about the parts that can’t be all the more. They seem to me to be the people who best avoid the terrible nature of Night City. They don’t work for corporations and don’t deal with predatory insurance. They’re just trying to make people happy by doing what’s best for those people. Sometimes it’s giving them more implants and sometimes it’s giving a bit of honest advice. Anyway I love them.

We know Panam was willing to start a War with a Megacorp just for V. V just dropping off the Map completly, without explanation? It's highly possible that she went up looking what happened to V. And that in doing so she barked up the wrong tree and ended up dead. Mitch most likely didn't have it in him to give V the News after just finding out that V is indeed alive. Better to let him think Panam moved on and is alive, then to tell him Panam died looking for him.

I still think my favourite ending is where you just leave Night City with the Aldacaldos. You have a whole family searching the continent for even the faintest hints of stopping your eventual death, as well as living out the rest of your days with the person you romanced. This is how I finished my first play through gave jonny access to take over my body every time he asked and developed a solid friendship with him this was a super emotional ending first time in a long time a video game made me cry for so many reasons V's character development from nothing to king of night city all in a quest of revenge and survival ultimately ending in him releasing control to jonny is gotta be the best story arch in video game history. Mama wells not knowing what happened to V is perhaps the most heart wrenching part of all of this In my play through I assaulted the HQ as Jonny to give him his chance at revenge and redemption which lead to the death of his love intrest so I was surprised at her reaction to this ending and the over all condemnation of Johnny felt horrible no one understands how much of an effect V had on Johnny and that this outcome is not what jonny wanted at all. I romanced Panam and her reaction was on point with the way this all ended left me feeling devastated over leaving her alone in the end when getting her to love you felt like such an amazing accomplishment due to the nature of her character.

I would love to see Panam meeting Johnny in V’s body. Like what would she do? She loves V so she definitely wouldn’t be able to kill someone with his face. Johnny probably has the same sort of feelings towards her as V did, if a little diluted, plus given how he was after taking over V, he seems like he’s calmer and less prone to violence. I think eventually they’d just talk when Panam finds out there’s a little bit of V inside Johnny.

Honestly feel like Johnny would spend the rest of his life avoiding Panam like the plague to honor V’s sacrifice. Her learning the truth will likely have a similar outcome as the suicide ending because V made too many promises and was now stuck with her, so V giving their life for a person like Johnny Silverhand when they have so many friends and love ones awaiting them would still be a betrayal. So avoiding to tell the truth is sparing her feelings towards V and Panam only holding a grudge against Johnny forever. Could imagine her being twice as devoted to hunt down Johnny and V out of anger for both of them if she knew.

A rough interpretation of the Tarot cards Misty pulls from what I can find online. The Hanged Man: Though it sounds grim, it is often interpreted as representing self-sacrifice, makes sense here as V game their life for Johnny. The Magician: Many, many, interpretations, but my guess would be one of the more popular ones, the unification of the physical and spiritual worlds, representing Johnny crossing back over from the digital world into reality. The Star: Often represents hope. The body and mind converging towards a brighter future. Obvious interpretation would be Johnny's new lease on life and his new future with V's body. It also represents the enlightenment of one's spiritual self. This interpretation could be taken to understand that Johnny is more at peace in his new life, that he won't fall back into his old ways and will generally be a better person, having grown from V's sacrifice. This fits with what we see of Johnny after he gains control.

You know what would be good? If this was the canonical ending. Then the sequel is Johnny fucking his life up being depressed in some shit hole on the other side of the country. Out of nowhere, years later, Panam ambushes him and they fight almost to death. Johnny convinces Panam that it was V's decision, and after some time she decides to make Johnny help her go across the wall to find V's consciousness and bring him back. They still have the blueprints, the project lead of the original SoulKiller is still alive. The sequel could be Panam and Johnny working with Rogue to bring V back from across the Wall. They could utilize characters like Morgan Blackhand and Spider Murphy to help them. Maybe even Mr. Blue Eyes. Getting a clone body for V, readying another Engram for his consciousness. It could work.

If you're mad at Johnny or think he's being a jerk for ghosting V's friends, listen to the messages from Panam and Rogue, and really think about it, because Johnny clearly has. Vik, Judy, Mitch, nearly all of them are *playing dumb*. They're keeping it cool, acting like they don't know anything is terribly wrong. Panam would not just keep it to herself that Johnny "stole" V's body and she is convinced V is trapped in there, needing rescue. That's what Rogue is subtly warning you about. She takes it for granted (correctly, I think) that Panam has already gotten Carol or Judy or Nix to hack your phone and voicemail. Panam knows who your friends were. Chances are, everyone V used to know, save for Kerry (who is noticeably happier because he's blissfully ignorant, having been left in the dark due to his bond with the old Johnny), has already been enlisted by Panam into a new rescue mission. That's why Johnny won't call back. He takes it for granted (also correctly) that the call will be traced, and then Panam will hunt him, find him, discover there's no V left to save, and flatline him. So, to honour V's last wish that Johnny lead a long, healthy life... he'd better do it far, far away and very, very quietly.

Yeah, but did Johnny actually "steal" V's body? Did he actually have a choice in the matter? They all need to speak to Victor and get the rundown on the truth. The Relic left neither of them a choice. Right? I could be wrong. I have the old version and haven't played the next gen one.

@@williammcleroy558 It was totally involuntary. In fact, Johnny will try to persuade V not to give up his/her body, when the choice is presented. It was a circumstance that was forced upon them both, and then a choice V made very much of their own volition. However, Panam will not see it that way, and neither will Rogue. They weren't there, and didn't see the change in Johnny. Only V and Johnny know what happened in the Mikoshi, and only Johnny came back. Panam simply refuses to accept that you chose not to come back to her, and there's no persuading her otherwise. She's V's Ride or Die, and sees Johnny as a brain parasite who somehow coerced him, even if V didn't know it. (And hey, who knows, maybe Panam is right. It's possible Johnny *is* manipulating us throughout the game, appealing to our sympathy and then using reverse psychology to get what he wanted. He's an increasingly large part of our mind, we have no idea how much of our decisions are our own, so... Yeah. I'd say Panam, whether she's right or wrong, has no good reason to give him the benefit of the doubt)
