@@jamesfallon2700 there are 12 bells in the tower cast by john taylor co and bellfounders there are also a extra treble and a flat 6th the tenor weighs 59-1-23cwts there is also the carillon of 35 bells cast by john taylor taylors eyare and smith and are in the tower where the 12 are

@@ΝΙΚΟΣΠΟΔΑΣ-δ4σ I don’t think you’ve got that right. There are 6 quarter bells and Great Peter in the north west tower and probably 12 bells in the south west tower. Maybe I’ll ask Kyle the ringer, he’ll tell me I think 😕

@@Steven_Rowe well I believe the bell ringing was coming from St Wilfrid’s just down the street or from a different church somewhere else in the city so I don’t know which church it was but it wasn’t at York Minster where the South West bell tower is as the clock bells and Great Peter are in the North West bell tower
