Gotta say the costumes are awesome. This was my first DQ game ever (loved every second of it) and in all my JRPG experience, I always was that one guy who never altered his party’s appearance because of a “canon-appearance” sort of habit. But this game changed that, I loved the fact that every new costume kind of set a new adventure throughout the whole game, giving more life to this world and it’s amazing story.

I see what you getting. Since Rab has Morcant’s sorcery. However, Erik is more of Morcant since they’re both best friends with the luminary, and how Erik and Maya (Mia) has close connections to the Seer and Mordegon. Plus, Erik default outfit is closely like Morcant’s.

After you defeat the dragon in hotto it appears in the armor shop there for sale. Forget if it is after first or final battle.

I know I'm late to the party but when I use a costume such as the ''Savior of the Sands'', the sword on my characters back disappears when seathed such as walking around towns/fields etc. Is this a bug on my system? Or is it normal? PS! One more related question: is there a way to have my sword visible on my character while it's seathed when I'm using a costume such as Savior of Sands and them heavy metallic-looking armors? Thanks in advance in case anyone can shed some light to my predicament. And thumbs-up for the video!

tanatos5 Sadly no, it’s not a bug, it is intended that those costumes make your sword invisible in the over world. That was the main reason why I kept updating my party costumes whenever I got new ones except from the Hero, since I loved the fact that the sword was on display. However, when I got my hands on the Wolf Dragon costume, it became my new outfit, it’s just too awesome.

TheSoftcoreMonkey Thanks a lot for the reply. Wolf Dragon.. you mean the Hotto Stuff outfit? Yes, it’s quite awesome-looking to be honest (also one of my favourites in the game). It’s also very good to know that It’s not just my system that makes the weapons disappear on the overworld map a.k.a. at least it’s not a bug. But what drives me crazy is this; I see NPC’s (even regular guard-NPC’s etc.) wearing heavy plate armor, with capes on their backs, and with their seathed swords showing on their sides/backs - even while they are MOVING around! So the devs could make the weapons show even for the NPC’s but not for the player... on the very Definitive Edition of the game? :( Don’t get me wrong, it’s an awesome game with mostly an awesome player base such as yourself, and that’s great! I don’t know why this one issue (weapon visibility) is grating me so much, but it does.. Nevertheless, thank you for the reply again.

First, you have to go back in time and locate a Dragon mount on the island. There is a small landmass that is farther away than all other landing spots, fly to there. It around one of the edges of the map, can't remember which exactly. When you get close enough, you'll notice a chest. That is it.
