Very fine words, and sung sweetly Nancy. My wife enjoyed this version, and tells me this was one of the 'songs' they sang in church, and 'Make Me a Channel of your Peace' another St. Francis of Assisi prayers. A nice melody was put to that one. Stay safe and well.

I love this song!! You sang it sooo tenderly and beautifully! Sometimes we have a version of a song in our head (for me this song is linked with organ music and the organ getting louder and louder each verse at Lutheran school/church where I grew up and I loved the old hymns that way with the organ music!) and then you come along and do this soft tender version and it's a whole new way to listen to and feel the song. Just beautiful NAncy. Have your heard Patti Griffins version? If I ever get around to learning how to play the piano I'd like to sing and play it like her version one day.

We didn't have an organ in that little church, but there was a loud piano. :) I really love Patti Griffin but have not heard her version! I will definitely go find that one!
