His 5th death (eps 5) was caused by rem not ram, she killed him with her morningstar because he is dying from the curse so she mercy kill him. Even during the second trial you could see rem tried to reason with ram for why she killed him, there is also some cut scene from WN during the second trial that confirmed this where emilia slap rem and resign from the royal candidates after she find out rem is the one who killed subaru inside the manor after that emilia wanted to burry and honor subaru. Ram only killed him once on eps 7 with her wind magic.

Didnt the anime cut two of subaru's deaths? 2 from arc 3 i believe. not really sure tho. Also reccomendation in case you do part 2 for rest of arc 7, 8, and 9. Include those cut deaths if you ever found out, and prob also add in subaru dying by the hungry horse king but say it was cut from wn to ln. Also best to estimate some of subaru's deaths in arc 7 👍

Everything has a reason to be so popular - In Re:Zero's case, it's all about how amazing the character development and writing is. I used to not get why Re:Zero was so popular and sort of disliked it. But after watching the anime, I can confidently say it's one of the best isekai animes out there. And don't pull out the "Subaru is so whiny and cowardly" card because he's developed into a selfless and heroic character. Even when he's just a small meaningless ant, he still triumphs against all odds even if his enemy far surpasses him in strength. Subaru's an amazing guy.
