This boss is straight-up frightening, especially with the entrance and getting eaten animations(0:01 & 1:52). It's like the blue whale scene from the movie finding nemo.

The worse thing about this boss is you either have a character from Fontaine or the Traveller on your team to use the Ousia or Pneumia attacks to attack those black orbs

I mean having them makes it easier but is the same thing as raiden shogun you just need elemental to destroy. Cause the raiden shogun you need to have electro in your team to destroy it immediately. I just use four shot of my nahida basic

This is weird, judging from timelines, traveler and paimon know about gold only in dragonspine part 2 event because albedo talk about it included windblum 2rd event that Alice talk about other witch. How the heck did paimon know her in archon quest? I assume this is the way they use from now on, i mean their already done it before but the player that not play the event and new players will never know about this. Good story telling.

you can learn a little bit about Gold just by reading some of the archive entries for things like the rifthounds and while the events are sadly limited time, I get the feeling that they expect people to have watched the trailers, the two most notable being one for the Harbingers and one for the Hexenzirkel, which had Rhinedottir (R) talking about making a son. so that's a way for new players to know about such things. still kinda bad if there's no way for the characters to realistically know it in game, thankfully Paimon, the one bringing this stuff up, is supposed to be our knowledgeable guide. it actually makes her look halfway useful (as opposed to her usual annoying clueless idiot stuff. frankly I feel like Paimon would be much more appealing if she knew more deep lore stuff like this as opposed to being about as clueless as the person she's supposed to be guiding) if she just passively knows about some of this stuff already. how does she know? well we don't even know what Paimon is even supposed to be so we can put both of those mysteries together.

It could be a similiar case to what scaramouche had. If your account was created after 1.0, seeing him in Inazuma will have different dialogue than 1.0 players. Just a guess though.

the dialogue changes based on what and how many "main event" you completed during the life span of the game, if this dude didn't complete that event where the traveller & co get know about the witch order then all the dialogues related to those witch are different😅

Glacius OST from KI 2013 would fit this boss perfectly. The choirs, how imposing it is, the electronic style, as if it represented the unknown that is approaching, which at the same time is an imminent danger.

This had all the ingredients to be an epic battle, but when I actually fought it… it was really lame. This archon quest was definitely more about the lore, than gameplay. Sucks because storyline was actually great, but 80% of it was dialogue. Final boss fight wasn’t even really a fight

The narwhal's inside contains a monster that has quantum-like powers, and looks surprisingly similar to an antimatter legion enemy. Hmm, I guess with genshin confirmed to be part of the honkaiverse, it's only a matter of time...

This fight was soooo much easy ! Really really not satisfied . Even the signora fight was a little bit more difficult . It could be a challenging one if it had a second phase after defeating the first knight we would come out of it's belly . After some fight whale would devour us again and this time we would fight with 2 dark knights . But ok ..... Bass drop and knight fight is good . But whale fight was really nothing if u have zhongli and arlechino even without constellations

no offense but this entire boss fight and the boss itself was very disappointing. not only that the giant world ending whale form hell is underwhelming because all he does 90% of the fight is flop around like a Magikarp. and when the second phase starts is more disappointing because you'd expect a super evil mastermind behind all the fiasco in Fontaine but you just end up fighting some random abyss dude. I mean Who the fuck even is that guy? seriously the only good part about this is we finally met Skirk.

To be fair the ending is surely written in a way we are intrigued by everything that happened. I'm sure a future quest will touch on this. Especially because Tartaglia got away with the core of the narwhal...

did you even pay attention to the quest? we are the ones HUNTING after the WHALE, so the first phase is passive and the second phase is much more hostile. most bosses in the game are pretty chill anyways.
