At least I could watch this video. The last one he said to turn it off if I didn't have good tools.

Good info. I'll be swapping relays when I rewire my truck for the 3rd time. Getting better each time thanks to your videos. 👍

Leash products are awesome. Randy makes some top notch shit. I've got a prostreet relay board and switch panel to wire in and already have that dual 70amp relay powering my fuel pump and fans.

Great vid! The Tyco/TE/ are great with big battery banks. The Kilovac, Gigavac, Panasonic and the Omron contactors last dam near forever and have huge silver plated contacts, Ive bought the 500a units for around 45 on ebay nib, but some sellers charge over 150, just got to wait for the deal. They do make them in Latching and some with Economizer coils so they dont have a big drain to worry about. I have yet to use a solid state like a Power Gate from Perfect Switch..

Love the video, I heard you to not use the solid state nos relay for powering up Holley smart coils. Can you go into the reason and what do you use? Thanks

Great video Devin as usual!!! I really dig the Leash relays. I did check them out on their website and the single relay looks like is has two terminals labeled C+, one is Red and one is Yellow. What is the difference in those?

Thanks so much for the explanation. Are the better relays diode protected vs. resistor protected, to eliminate potential damage from flyback voltage?

That moser Motorsport solid state battery disconnect is slick! What would be the best way to segregate the Alt/starter circuit when using that disconnect when wiring in a kill switch.? ( the moroso Had a A & B circuit)

Alternator/starter wire goes to the IN terminal with the Battery and everything else on the Out terminal is how I’ve always done it!

Oooowwwhhhh, now we're coming up with an 18" it's killer. Let me know what you need, I'll hook you up. The wiring that you're is legit. It's refreshing seeing that level of work.

@@theholleyefiguy btw, someone messaged about flyback diodes, yeah they are very important especially with heavy-duty relays
@4bangermustang3 жыл бұрын
Wish you had some info about diodes and flyback. Seems like holley wants you to use them everywhere.

As always very informative video if you dont mind me asking, What is the part number of the hella relay and un pinned connector for it?
Great video. I'm curious if you have used the MSD 35amp solid state relay set up? Ahmad

the way things cost nowdays ,it makes one think why dont i just parallel 4 of high current auto relays i have boxes of and see what happens well i did and it works a treat i only had to add one large diode across to coils as they are in parallel ,admitantly the relays i used were not those cheap horn relays from budget auto store they were high current Denso relays and soldered them to 8mm high by 1.5mm think brass stripdown to a brass bolt as terminal going to see how it goes as a contactor for 82 volt 150 to 200 amp continuos ebike ,the controller and batteries can do up to 350-400 contin and peaks i cant work out yet as there is supa capacitor bank of 82 volt in parralel with battery so it could be crazy high.but well start at the sensible first

Why do the standard 4/5 prong relays say 40/35 amp. Are they rated for 40 amp or 35 amp
@rizzoid3 жыл бұрын
Normally closed (NC) versus normally open (NO) operation. I believe NC is generally the lower number.
