The fact that BEUD had 4500 ATK, and DMK only has 5000 ATK makes it look like that meme with miniature Keanu Reeves standing next to regular Keanu, with Black Luster Soldier only contributing 500 more ATK.

@@pathua7692 Not really, you have to consider the effect that goes with it. Gaining 500 atk for every dragon on the field and in the grave (in the anime,) means that it gains an additional 2000 attack, at least, thanks to the Blue Eyes monsters put into the grave to bring it out means that it gains 2500 attack in total (again, at least.) This isn't displayed as well in the duel with darts though because Kaiba's graveyard is separate from Kaiba's in a double duel. It's also a lot easier to summon in real life when you consider the fact that BEUD can be substituted for by something like King of the Swamp. That being said, like BEUD itself, it suffers from the fact that it's nothing more than a big beatstick to summon and therefore never really worth considering (five headed Dragon, on the other hand is a different matter thanks to dragon's mirror.)

It's great how in this arc of yugioh, they included DMK as their "Ace" against big bad Zork because in retrospect it has always been the strongest monster they had with the most OP effect outside of the God Cards. Which basically wipes out any question towards the existence of this clearly strong combo and reinforces how strong the opponent is.

There was no real drawing in that vr game, you just brought out the cards in your deck and play them as appropriate, not sure what the actual limitations were (maybe something like destroyed monsters can't be played again for a time or whatever.)

Technically has one now in the form of Dragon Master Magia, although the English release is ridiculously rare and expensive for no reason.

@@prestongiles9917 the funny thing with that one is that Chaos Max dragon can qualify as either a Blue Eyes monster or a Chaos monster, so you don't even need to throw in a BLS monster if you don't want to, especially if you use dragon's mirror to summon it. 🤔 Sucks that they screwed the English speaking audience over with the rarity... as usual... they really love gouging the TCG playerbase for all they're worth, don't they
